We are proud to announce that we now have the ability to host PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Tournaments! As such we wish to waste no time and jump into action. Below you will find a summary of what the tournaments will look like and how you can participate. Lastly, if you are interested in getting involved with us and becoming a part of our staff, see the closing section of this announcement.

Captains Draft

When: Sundays @ 8PM EST (5PM PST) Check-in opens at 7:15 PM EST (be in ***Draft Check-In*** voice channel) and close at 7:45 PM EST
Where: vVv Gaming Discord Server https://discord.gg/vvv-gaming
Format: 4vs4 – Triple Round Knockout. The first round will have 25 teams. The second round will have top 16 teams from the first game. The third round will have top 8 teams from the second game.

Visit http://vvv-gaming.com/pubg/register on the day of the tournament to register. While signing up you will be able to volunteer to be a captain (Must be above 1600 Rating in Squad Mode). If there are more volunteer captains than the total number of teams, the captains will be picked at random from the pool of volunteers. If there are not enough volunteer captains, then the remaining number of captains needed will be chosen at random from the remainder of players.

Check-in opens at 7:30 PM EST and closes at 7:45 PM EST. To check-in, players must join the voice channel labeled “Draft Check-In” on our discord server. Players MUST STAY IN THIS CHANNEL until the announcement is made to switch to the “Captains” or “Draft Options” channel based on whether the player is a captain or draftable player. A spreadsheet will be posted in the #pubg-announcements channel that will allow them to see if they are a captain or player. Players that leave the check-in channel for any reason will NOT be kept checked-in.

Draft Process:

Captains will take turns picking their teammates in a “snake-style” (A, B, C, C, B, A) draft until all teams have 4 players each. Participating with friends is encouraged, however, there is no guarantee that you will be on the same team. The captain’s name will serve as the team name for purposes of being referred to. Voice channels will be created for each of the teams on our Discord server.
