vVv Bizkit Resignation

Recommended Posts

I never ever ever ever ever thought I'd say this but my time has come. Almost 4 years of being here I have seen so many members come and go, so many members grow and go onto doing amazing things like vVv Paradise the very person who introduced me to the world of eSports and now works for Ubisoft. The world known as eSports and true gaming.... that I learned from vVv Gaming. vVv RobZ, vVv Lordjerith, vVv Doomhammer the three men in whom I look up to, still to this day having worked or still work in Riot Games  are major contributors in helping make a difference in eSports that we always heard about in the Loser Bracket broadcasts from back in the day and that is inspirational to me.

I having thought about this for weeks now kept thinking about MLG Orlando 2011 when I attended my first MLG with that top hat I put a vVv shirt over and hanging Jason and the Starcraft team consisting of vVv Titan, vVv Hassu, and vVv Ruff resulting in the best weekend I ever had in my life. Ever since then I knew the atmosphere I felt that day in an eSports event was the day I knew that gaming is where I truly want to be in life. Having realized that I went through much trial and error, three times I came onto staff here in vVv for CoD and 3 times I failed. I failed horribly because I was not writing my own life story and owning this and the responsibilities, I was soft, avoident to conflict, and was not consistent in driving results. Feeling so powerless to myself I sought guidance from Jerry and other members like Organic Bear, Shadow (ex-vVv now) and others. From then I feel I came out of my hole. I now am among the students with the hightest GPA in my college, I left working at Radioshack and gone onto work for Samsung as a field sales manager and am now working my way up with HQ to join their eSports/sponsorship side of the company. Whilst pursuing all of this I have grown far more distant from vVv and it sank my heart seeing the console side of vVv the very thing that labeled us the most accomplished console gaming organization on the planet finally be put to rest. I feel partially to blame for this too but the decision is for the best. We make the good great and hopefully we can see who the future leader that can rise is and do what we past leaders couldnt... OWN the console division!

But as Jerry has once stated. vVv is a place of growth and teachings that not only can make you go somewhere in gaming, but anywhere in life. Our track record in vVv history proves it and I wanted to share my success story going from a C average kid in highschool who didnt care about college or work to where I am now, not putting the blame of my failures on someone else and OWNING who I am and going forth and doing what I do now. Writing my own story. All the teachings, lectures, failures, travel etc from vVv that I absorbed over the past 4 years I will never forget and take them into my future as I continue to work towards being a community manager in the gaming industry. My next endeavor is to finish college and move out of New York to Texas in which I will be closer to Samsung HQ to continue working towards my desired position and also begin working with and attending more esports events down the line. vVv will always have a special place in my heart and will continue to represent you all in my personal life and events. I just dont dedicate the necessary time I should to vVv and is not fair that I am not a contributing member. Having donated, traveled to events, having helped worked on past projects etc is not worth anything if I cannot share a consistent connection with the community and are absent a majority of the time. For that I apologize. I love you all so much and will be around and hopefully in the future when a console side is born again and I am not one foot in vVv and another in another place I can come back with far more skills and wisdom to provide.

A special shoutout goes to:

  • Arkaine
  • GloryD
  • Jerry
  • Doomhammer
  • OrganicBear
  • Voison
  • RobZ
  • TRod
  • Shadow
  • Paradise
  • Hassu
  • Ruff
  • Titan
  • Spectral
  • Mikkey
  • Sk1ppY
  • And many others to whome I grown to be very good friends with overtime. In and out of vVv you all gave me a little extra something to keep me moving forward, creating awesome memories and experiences for me as a gamer.

Thank you all.

Everyone's leaving ;-;

Good luck at Samsung, now send me free mercy :3.

Cool dude, something about you makes me comfortable around you. maybe it's the attitude and swagger or the fellow New Yorker blood. With your help I wasn't as nervous as I would been without. one day we'll be back at a event again watching Buzz be drunk in hotel room again. <3
