Not sure if anyone else has been thinking of buying these or not, but I picked them up after seeing them on this site. So, I figured I'd throw in my $.02 on what I think of them. I mainly play R6V2, and a little COD4. First of all, they are a breeze to install. Now onto the playing. I thought for the first hour or so that I was going to end up trashing them because all they did was mess me up. But, as the package said, I gave them 3 hours. By the end of that 3 hours, I was hooked!! They greatly improved my control on those minor adjustments, and even helped in those frantic up close battles where I tend to spray a little. Now, I can be pretty good at times, so I thought "maybe I am just on a roll right now." So, I took them off, and wow it was weird. Even after that short period of time, I had naturally adjusted to them. Just as they promised. In my opinion, for $10 they are more than worth it, as there isn't much risk involved at all. Hope this helps those who are considering them!!!

I have the product aswell and I am really happy with my purchase. One thing I was skeptical about, though, was the 'take it off after 3 hours and see how you do!' thing. Let's be fair, after adjusting to it you aren't going to be able to go back and play as you used to just like that, so in my opinion that whole ploy was flaud. That said, these are well worth the purchase and now I've adjusted to them I can play any game fine without the constant feeling of weirdness which they come with at first.

The only downside, I had to pay basically double for the FPS freak due to living in Europe, which sucked. Even so, they're well worth the money!

This is my option on the Astro's and the FPS Freek.

ASTRO'S

*PROS*

Packaging - comes in a nice box and carrying case.

Sound - Very good sound *CONS*

Comfort - Comfortable *CONS*

*CONS*

Wires - I think the controller wire needs to be longer.

Sound - The sound is good but not $300 good.

Comfort - This is a personal option, but the headset is comfortable after you have them on for 3 hours.

at first they are not comfortable. I can only keep them on my head for about 6 hours then they start to heart my ears.

I'll give them a 3.8/5

if they lower there price to $200 it will be better.

FPS FREEK

*PROS*

Grip - NIce feel on thumb rest

Performance - raises the thumbsticks up for better accuracy

Price - $10

*CONS*

- Hard to put on

- Hard to take off

- Feel cheap at the base

I'll give them a 4/5

buy them if you play MW2 or Halo3.

I haven't tried them on Gears2 yet.

i personally these gaming headsets are just gimmicks. if it's $300 i expect some damn good sound with good durability and comfort. if not, it is not worth $300.

my ps3 team won those fps freek things a while ago, didn't think they would do much so i just decided to not take it. maybe i regret it now when i play mw2 haha

So you used them for RSV2,But do you have any info on their Affect on Halo? I'm really interested on buying a pair, but I don't know if they affect Halo as well as CoD and RSV. Good review by the way, can't wait to test em' out in Halo:Reach!

Full Agree with this Review i have a pair and i thought they were excellent. I only stopped using them in preperation for the Razer Onza controller. I figured cos the sticks on that are adjustable i wouldnt need my FPS Freeks. Otherwise id still be rocking them they do make a significatn differance to your game.

The way they work deems they work in any game you play. You will find you can up your sensitivity yet still keep the accuracy you had on a lower one while using them hence giving you an advantage. They take a couple of games to get the feel for them because your thumbs are rasied up higher than usual but after that you'll be fine.
