On the daily How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom? I first heard of vVv Gaming after playing GB matches against them back in the days of GoW1. Who do you know currently in vVv Gaming? How do you know them? I am new to the community so I do not know anybody personally, but by being active on the forums and playing around on Gears 3 that will change. Why are you interested in joining vVv Gaming? After taking a break from competitive gaming due to joining the Unites States Navy. I want to come back to competitive gaming and become part of a solid gaming community. And since vVv gaming has been around since GoW1 and has only continued to grow upon itself shows me that the hard work and dedication put into the community when it was first established is still around and that quite frankly is something I want to be a part of and contribute to. Adding value is an important aspect of being in vVv Gaming. How will you, personally, add value? I will personally add value to vVv gaming by staying active in the forums and contributing/helping anybody in them, retweeting and sharing posts on twitter and facebook. Also by continuing to spread the name and reputation of vVv gaming on Xbox Live and by finally giving it my all to be the best Gears 3 player/teammate I can. Are you familiar with vVv's Geek to Me articles and Losers Bracket Podcast? If so, what are some of your favorites and why? No, not until I became part of the community. But after listening to Losers Bracket Rounds 88, 89 I really enjoyed what information they put out, especially the segment speaking on what four major things were holding E-Sports back. I really hope that E-Sports are able to overcome the hurdles and establish itself as a true sport. I would love to see more Gears or Starcraft on sporscenter. How long have you been playing video games? Since Power Rangers came out for the Sega Genesis (GOGO green ranger). How many hours per week do you devote to gaming? I spend between 50-60 hours on average. What’s the hardest game you’ve ever beaten? Condemned, game was way too scary to play at night, took me forever to beat it. What games coming out are you looking forward to play and why? Gears of War 3, I have been hooked on Gears every since the first time I played it in my friends basement. I mean there is just no other game like Gears, you just don’t beat the feeling of winning a 1v1 shotty battle to clutch a match, or to nail a crucial superman on the boom guy. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? Outside of gaming I enjoy hanging out with friends, running, basketball, a good nap here or there, and of course spending time with my girl Where do you see yourself next year at this time? Continuing to become a better gears player, also being towards the top of the online competition. I would also have liked to start my college education. I would also like to make the rank of Petty Officer Third Class in the US Navy. What kind of competitive tournament experience do you have? I have played in a few online tournaments, most notably would be playing in the GB playoffs for four seasons. I have also been to a few local doubles and team tournaments. Have you attended any national events (MLG, WCG, CPL)? No I have not. How long have you been playing competitively? I have been playing competitively for 4 years. What was your best competitive moment? What was your worst? My best moment would definitely be when we beat team THC at 3 am on Fuel Depot to break into the top five on GB for the first time, woke my parents up due to screaming “Come ON!” over and over again at the top of my lungs : ). My worst moment is when my team was prepared to go to MLG Dallas when one of our teammates had a death in the family and we lost the local sponsorship(his family owned it) and were not able to attend our first MLG LAN event : (. What do you hope to achieve, competitively? I want to become part of a dedicated team and community and help them achieve the goal of the number one online spot, and to just enjoy the team atmosphere while letting the W’s stack up. What was your toughest competition? My toughest competition would have to be myself, because you are the only thing that can ever hold yourself back, but by being dedicated to gaming or anything for that fact you become better by pushing yourself to levels you never thought were attainable. How do you see vVv Gaming adding value to you? vVv gaming will add value to me by continuing to push my dedication to becoming a better gears of war player and helping me and my team become successful through driving us to work harder than everybody else so we can earn the right to hold our head high above our victories. And on top of that by helping me add new friends to my life through the vVv community and whoever else I may run into on the way in my online experience.
As the donation drive comes to an end, I want to personally thank all of you for your participation. We had about 50 people contribute, which is roughly 30% of our community. I am proud to say that we met our goal of $4,500, and when our new website launches, you can thank the donors that made it happen. Our growth for 2011 is explosive. Our site gets nearly double the visits we got last year, and I expect this will only continue to grow. Of course, we want to further that growth by adding more reasons to visit the vVv Gaming website. To fully understand HOW MUCH we have going on, I wanted to break it down by division. I promise to keep it as short as possible, so forgive me if I leave anything out. Brawl vVv Gaming has officially partnered with Apex. Currently, we are sponsoring the The Road to Apex: ONLINE EDITION! We also have formalized our sponsorship deals for Apex 2012 and our sponsorship structure for 2012. Chibo continues to do a great job leading the division, and you can expect more from vVv in Brawl for 2012. Call of Duty With Modern Warfare 3 releasing on November 8, we will keep a close eye on what Major League Gaming (MLG) will do with the title. Meanwhile, we look forward to our Call of Duty 4 PC team coming to Chicago for the Ignite LAN from October 21-23. I look forward to meeting Cubed and the team in person. We do not expect to sponsor any CoD console teams for MLG for the rest of the year. Crossfire Our Crossfire team has been busy with it preps for WCG. We are waiting to hear when the WCG Nationals are for Canada. The WCG World Finals will be held in Busan, Korea from Dec 8-11. As always, vVv Lifeline is our one and only Crossfire team, and we fully support the relationship we have with them. Gears of War I can’t say enough how excited I am for this game. We will be launching our Gears academy, and I expect the competition for one of the spots to be fierce. This will be a chance for teams to train in a structured environment, as well as a chance for the top team to earn their team pass and hotel for the first MLG event. I am looking forward to experimenting with the maps and game types. Our official position is to remain silent on changing any settings until we first determine the best maps and game types to go with those maps. I encourage all of you to contribute your ideas to the best maps and gametypes HERE! Think about the SPECTATOR experience when you make your suggestions. Expect to see TNO at DEVASTATION. Also, expect vVv Gears players to attend the NJHalo/KotC event on the east coast. Both events are the weekend of October 8. vVv Gaming’s Gears team will be at the New York invitational event from October 21-23.. We wish our Gears players, Enmity, Monk, Leon and Myth the best of luck! Halo We will be supporting Believe the Hype for the rest of the season. Next season, we'll see what MLG does with Halo before making any other decisions about teams. BelievVve! League of Legends Our League of Legends (LoL) team continues to surprise people. Not only has the team surprised people, but I see many of our core members playing League of Legends. Expect our focus, coverage and content surrounding this awesome game to grow. I want to say so much of LoL, but for now, just know that we have been very impressed by the game, our players, Riot and the opportunities. JayC will be one busy manager in 2012! Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) and Guild Wars 2 (GW2) is where you will find us. SWTOR will start us off, and expect us to have a lot of fun. GW2 will be much more serious as we try and build a top roster for the game. Mortal Kombat vVv Reo will be at DEVASTATION, and he will be ready to compete! Expect to see other vVv MK players like vVv Krazie at the event, as well. Rhythm Our rock band is going to DEVASTATION, so expect vVv Adrenaline to entertain the fans at this event. After DEVASTATION, expect our rhythm gaming division to be fairly quiet until either a release of a new title or a new event stirs some excitement. Sports Michs09 is going to Korea to compete in IeSF World Championship event for the game Hyundai Veloster HD. He will be in Korea from October 6-10. He will be joining 400 players from 40 nations! Also, we are keeping our eye out for top players. We just added Jrock to our roster who is a top NHL player. Welcome him, and add him on PSN if you play: vVv Jrock Starcraft Hasuu, Murder, Ruff and Titan are all getting ready for MLG Orlando. Also, Doom, Titan, Spectral and I will be attending the KoDeF event in Korea from November 1-4. We have finally formalized our mandatory practice schedules and weekly meetings. Expect Roar to take a more active role, as well. Expect Noxie to come back soon. We also launch the Starcraft Academy this week, where the top player will be attending MLG Providence. Sugarbear will have the awesome responsibility to get this running, so I ask all Starcraft players to support the academy. Be available to assit and answer questions. There has been a lot of conversation about us picking up players, and it is true we spoke with dde, Faith and Vibe. In short, these players were asking for more than we could justify, and they all took other offers. We will be picking up players after MLG Orlando, so stay tuned, but our main focus will be our players who have been developing with us and are currently sponsored. OK. WOW! That was supposed to be a short synopsis of what we have going on, but as always, we do so much, you sometimes don’t see it all until you put it all down in one place. On the content side, we will be completely restructuring everything with the new website. I don't want to spoil any suprises, so I will just talk about what we have going on right now. The Loser’s Bracket will continue. Expect us to broaden our focus by inviting more guests from outside vVv Gaming to share their insight and perspectives. I promise that I will rant more. You keep asking for it, so I will deliver. Directional Influence will not. Also, with Rapture starting college, and no longer having a quality internet connection, we have stopped the Brawl podcast show for now. We are open to others who may want to pick up the slack, but for now, Directional influence is in hiatus. We just contributed our 100th article to Geek to Me. We will continue to deliver great content to this blog. We are ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WRITERS! So, if you can handle the deadline and write consistently, let us know! Wednesday Night Starcraft (WNS) is something that we are currently examing, and more will follow in a spate update. We will add a lot of content for 2012, as well as a few surprises that only Doomhammer and I know about. Expect us to continue to support the exact same mission statement: Again, I just wanted to thank those of you who donated, and give everyone an update on what we have going on. It is amazing when you put it all down in one spot. I promise that 2012 will only get better!

If this exact roster has not accomplished anything, please list each player's accomplishments with supporting links. As of lack of Tournament's in Australia for GoW2 at the time . This team has not had that chance to go into a tournament together with the line-up we currently have , But Clutch , Deadly and AussieTrigga where in the same team at the time of the Cybergamer 4v4 Tournament. *Clutch , Deadly and AussieTrigga 2nd Cybergamer 4v4 Tournament http://www.cybergame...Dreamz-no-Evil/ From this link you can see the line-up of both team's and infomation about the tournament. At the time we are under the Name Dreamz no Evil http://www.cybergame.../tournament/55/ From this link you can see the bracket's and they journey that we took. *Swikz 1st Cybergamer 4v4 Tournament http://www.cybergame...Dreamz-no-Evil/ From this link you can see the line-up of both team's and infomation about the tournament. A) We are awaiting the release of Gears of War 3 at the moment . And as there is no LAN's or Online Tournament's at the moment as the game is yet to be released. With some financial help we would love nothing more than to attend LAN's but regardless we will be playing in as much online tournament's as we can . We feel that it is essential to play in alot of these tournament's to practise stratagy's and build more team chemisty . Would also be good for alot of the player's to get a feel for big tournament's and playing under pressure. 6.If you've been sponsored before, who was your best sponsor? Why? And most of all attend LAN's like WCG , ACL and possibly MLG and get the #1 spot that the team is so hungry for. 10.Who do you see as your toughest competition? A) In Australasia we feel that our toughest competition would be Team Legacy as they seem to be the only team that give's us a run for our money but is still very much beatable. In the world it would I have to imagine that all the pro team's that we would come up against in LAN's or online event's would be tough and we wouldn't take any of them lightly. 11.What is your expected finish at your next event? A) First , our team is extremly confident with the right support and overall practise we could win any tournament we participate in. 12.What do you hope to get out of vVv Gaming? Overall the team want's to be part of the vVv community and represent them at big event's!. Also we would need the help of vVv Gaming to get our team's to the LAN Event's that are offered to us. The one reason we feel that we would not be able to achieve our goal's of being the best team GoW has to offer is money We would need some financial support to attend LAN's or possibly entry fee's into tournament's.
One of the most important parts of games involving any sort of combat is weapon balancing. Gamers who frequent the online realms of their favorite games are usually very in-tune with the balancing between every weapon at their disposal, as are those who play fighting games and understand the balancing between each character in the roster. For gaming, weapon balance is key to making the community happy; no one is going to play a game in which someone can gain access to a shotgun that has a reload time of .3 seconds, a fire rate of an assault rifle, and damage output of a catapult using whales as projectiles. Every weapon must have pros and cons, and this applies to both campaign modes and multiplayer, as when there is less of a balance, the game itself suffers as a whole. For campaigns, weapon balancing is essentially for keeping a game challenging and, at the same time, worthwhile to play. In an obvious example, it makes no logical sense to give the player access to a weapon early in the game that allows them to kill every enemy they see with no effort. There has to be a scaling factor
