  1. I'm not sure I'll be able to make the meeting on Friday, as I'll be at Quakecon, but I would love to participate in a Rated Battlegrounds team.
  2. Dawgy

    Alpha's Squad

Hello Alpha! I'm Dawgy in-game (I think I shortly met you on mumble yesterday night). I am a Spellslinger DPS that would love to get this knocked out. My schedule is pretty hectic with Quakecon happening this week and all, but I'd love to do dungeons with you whenever I'm on! My schedule will definitely consistently let me be on at 6 CST, so hopefully we can get this started up!
  3. Also, a small benchmark: Tanks should have 15.33% Deflect Crit. DPS should have 14.72% Strikethrough Chance. Warriors and Espers can debuff a mob's Deflect Chance, meaning in optimal conditions, DPS will probably only need around 8% Strikethrough Chance. THIS STRIKETHROUGH CAP IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO YOUR DPS. IT SHOULD BE MET FIRST AND FOREMOST AND IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT STAT UNTIL YOU REACH THE MAGIC NUMBER. *EDIT* Apparently Strikethrough Chance is too expensive of a stat to become hitcapped. I'd advise going for the 8% Strikethrough Chance, instead of the 14%. As a Charged Shot Spellslinger, this soft cap is very VERY important for me, as Charged Shot is a very large, single hit burst attack that I rely on for about 1/3 of my damage output. If my Charged Shot is deflected, this means I will lose a TON of DPS. I'm sure this same logic applies to other DPS classes as well. As for Deflect Crit... well... having your tank get crit by a boss will obviously hurt, to say the least.

    Loot Distribution

I up and away prefer DKP. I have never tried Loot Council, but my experiences with DKP have not been anything but positive. Yes, I believe if you aren't able to make it to raids consistently, you shouldn't be rewarded as much as someone who is able to do so every raid night. It seems it would be way too hard to not show favoritism with Loot Council. It seems too prone for people to have their feelings hurt when they don't earn a piece of gear they feel like they deserve, which would brew drama. I prefer an objective system over a subjective system any day.
  6. Times of Availability: Daily 6 PM CST - 11:00 PM CST, All night Friday and all day weekends. Spellslinger DPS. I need the Rep / Gear so I can move on with my attunement to help us get rolling with Vet Dungeons.

    PvP RahRah Style

LOL good night. (Hmu when you start doing this and I'll more than gladly join you. vVv should be a name to be feared by the Exiles throughout the Crimson Badlands haha)
  8. I will be logged on at about 6 PM CST (7 PM EST), as that appears to be the time that worked best for most after discussion, to send out invites for whoever is interested in joining this dailies group. There are a lot of perks for doing dailies as a group as compared to by yourself (Much faster daily completion, domination over exile, extra renown, extra guild influence points, etc.). Post here if you're interested, or just show up at 7 PM. I'll probably do invites right on the dot and probably for about five minutes after. If we have more than five members, we'll split the groups evenly.
  9. I was thinking of going DPS for raiding, but honestly I think I'm open to do either. Spellslinger healing, (and healing in general), seems super fun, engaging, and rewarding in Wildstar as compared to other MMOs. I too am also going to school for programming (@ The University of North Texas). I need to start programming more in my spare time so I can improve my portfolio for after college (might start by getting involved with Wildstar addons), but I really do enjoy programming whenever I do get the chance. I have about a year and a half left on my degree. I will definitely be sure to check out those links! *EDIT* The hall of fame link you posted does not seem to work.
  10. Name: Callan Age: 23 Location: Denton, TX Character Name(s): Dawgy What class are you playing?: Spellslinger What class do you usually play?: Spellslinger How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom?: I was referred to the site and community by vVv_Viva. However, I first heard of you guys through your competitive League of Legends team. I can't specifically recall who I remember from your roster, however. Who do you currently know in vVv Gaming? How do you know them?: I originally knew only vVv_Viva (we attend the same school and we were on a League of Legends team together), but during my time playing Wildstar with you guys, I have met a countless number of wonderful people in this community. I'd make a list, but I doubt you'd want me to list all 20+ people. Why are you interested in joining vVv Gaming?: I'm interested in joining vVv Gaming for two reasons. First and foremost, I want to experience everything Wildstar has to offer (particularly elder game), which is simply not possible without a group of fine individuals to experience it with. Secondly, some of my fondest memories from my hardcore raiding days in World of Warcraft were with the guildmates that I completed difficult content with. The relationships I forged stretched past the raids and the game in general, and I made friends on WoW that I still keep in touch with today. I wish to experience this same experience with all of the awesome people at vVv Gaming. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming?: I like to browse Internet forums/Reddit, watch Netflix, computer program, and hang out with friends... other than that, my heart belongs to Wildstar. Do you have competitive tournament experience?: I have competed in multiple, local LAN League of Legends tournaments with several of my close friends from UNT (Viva being one of them). Have you attended any national events?: Unfortunately no. What do you hope to achieve, competitively?: I am dedicated to achieving whatever it is I am capable of achieving in Wildstar. Wildstar is the first MMO that I have taken seriously since World of Warcraft, and I intend to go as far as I can with it.
  11. I'll be on at around 7-7:30 PM CST (8ish EST) for whoever is interested.
  12. So I work during the summer from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. By the time I get home, It's probably around 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM. This is also when a ton of Exiles happen to log in, and they make my time doing dailies quite the conundrum. I'm going to be forming a group that does the dailies... daily at a specific time. Post your times of availability here if you're interested. Since this is going to be a daily thing, it obviously won't be frowned upon if you can't do them at a specific time that night. This thread will just help us establish a consistent group that can be... well... efficient at clearing the dailies and any Exiles that get in our way. Me: Times of Availability: Daily 6 PM CST - 11:00 PM CST Requirements: Be available when I am. Be level 50.
