  2. 1v1s. They usually do single elimination.
  3. Sardines is a version of hide and seek! There's one hider and multiple seekers. The hider picks a map and a hiding spot and goes there, then the rest seek. When the hider is found, the person who found him hides right on top of him. So eventually they all get packed in like sardines. Because maps are so large, we require hints every 5 minutes as the game goes on. And even then it can take awhile. It's an overall chill, relaxed 2 hour long event. We generally get around 4 hiders found. Prizes are given in gold amounts according to a point system that I'll go into detail on the day of. And Ranko, there are no professionals, but there are some great players! GOON is a casual guild that runs these for their own pvp-interested players.
  4. We've been invited to [GOON]'s last three pvp tournaments. We've placed in all of them. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and the bar is set pretty well. And that broken ass aetherblade achievement is still broken as hell, so no promises. But come anyway! We've worked our average time down to 28 minutes!
  5. The following is also in the Guild Message of The Day. The most current version will always be there first. I'm testing this out to see if people actually want these or if the motd format is enough. The following is a list of our events for the month of April. 6. On February the 14th at 8pm est, we'll be having a guild movie night! We'll be watching Guardians of the Galaxy so you have a few weeks to purchase/rent/pirate ( )/obtain a copy. And on behalf of the Guild Wars 2 division I'd like to invite the Archeage division for a little mmo bonding time. We've seen a lot of stuff happen and not happen in the past year or so, and I think we'd benefit from getting to know each other a little better. Or we can just watch a good movie. (You are of course invited if you're not in Archeage of guild wars 2. Meeting new people is the best part of playing games.) Hope to see you there! Don't be shy!
  7. THERE ARE NO BRAKES ON THE HYPE TRAIN! I think whatever price they charge for the expansion will be worth every penny. I can't wait until it comes out!
  8. Belcher's Bluff Omnomnivore Achievement. I had to out drink a Norn. I think my most favorite achievement was what Jessberg (bolt) mentioned above about the crystals(bolt) and finding them all. (bolt) I'm happy to say I never checked a guide on them and just tore out my hair instead.
  9. Rain Spell is my main. I don't have my greyname right now, but I'll post it next time I get online and remember . I can give good advice on the ranger class for pve content, pvp mid level content, and a bit of wvw. I know a lot about different build mechanics and can give tips on the details of ranger combat (like pet choice!). I run 2-3 fractals sets whenever I'm online and love teaching new guildies about all the tricks. I teach standard and non-standard methods for levels 1-50 as I learn them. (new stack spots, etc.) You don't need to be a guard or a warrior to do higher level fractals:). I love love love LOVE jumping puzzles and exploring. I also run through the pug (pick up group) dungeon circuit. If you want speed clears with organized groups, ask Jose, but I find it's always good to know the current dungeon meta if you ever happen to be in an unorganized group. My favorites are Twilight Arbor, Ascalon Catacombs, and Crucible of Eternity, but I know every dungeon path sans Arah, which I'll be working on.
  10. Oh goodness thank you so much Julia! I've been taking a break from GW to start my school year off right. I completely forgot that my 3 weeks would coincide with jumping puzzle night! I hope everything goes awesome!
  11. Then we definitely need to get them both done! They're super fun!
  12. Commanders have been asking for different colors for awhile for various reasons, customization and organization being the two top ones. The blue dorito is notoriously hard to see in zerg battles, so there is added utility in being able to change that. Adding the account bound feature legitimizes the 300g in my eyes. But that's where it stops. I believe that these tags really can help with organization and tactics and make things a lot more organized for wvw. Marking a roaming zerg versus a map bound zerg would be one example. (More possibilities and alternatives) But that price. WvW guilds hold guild fundraisers to get tags for their commander. 100g tags take a bit to get in a non-pve environment. 300g? Still doable, and then that commander won't have to get a tag ever again! Paying 300g for each color on top of that is incredibly stupid. I can't think of any system that ridiculously out of touch. If you want all the colors, you're paying 1.5kg, or around 1.8 precursors. Admittedly, we get by without multi-colored tags, so would these tags become vanity items? I'm purple and rich? If this was a pve setting, I wouldn't care about the vanity aspect, but wvw players care more about functionality than how pretty your princess looks today. I can only see this as anet's (out of touch) way of trying to provide a sense of "endgame" for wvw. (which is silly, since wvw IS endgame content.) Getting an alternative color seems like it will either be a primarily pve agenda (tequatl and wurm perhaps) or a very rich, large wvw guild's agenda. I'm hoping this is a hint that they are planning on making wvw a lot more profitable, but I doubt it.
  13. I realize this one was super duper late, but Crazy's reminded me that I had been trying to get a pretty picture of Kudzu. I love it because it's not flashy, but it still lets you know it's there. I went through my screenshots and picked this one. Acting all dramatic with my favorite dog.
  14. Thank you everyone who came to jp night tonight! I realize I may not have advertised this enough, and some may have missed it because of that. All the information about this wonderful night can be found at this link. For those who came and lasted through the whole ordeal (2 hours worth!), y'all did wonderfully and would make any mesmer proud. For those who came later and still need puzzles for their monthly,(or just in general): I don't mind running other, longer puzzles almost anytime. Hit me up, or just ask guild chat. There's usually someone you can needle into it! I also wanted to share the best screenshot of the night: Davie gracefully falling through Sharkmaw.
