    Name: Alex Ribeau

    Age (minimum 16): 19

Location: Pittsburgh, Pa   Gamertags (for all systems you own): Xbox: vVv Trivium   If you have any social media accounts, could you provide links directly to your account (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc.)? https://www.facebook.com/ribeau https://twitter.com/mlg_trivium   How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom? I used to be in vVv   Who do you know currently in vVv Gaming? How do you know them? I know just about everyone in Titanfall and CoD Division, as well as a lot of honorary and executive members.   Why are you interested in joining vVv Gaming? I am looking to join an organization that will allow me to rebuild my skills as a player, and push me to the next level of competitive gaming.   What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? I enjoy cooking, and performing heavy metal music.   What kind of competitive tournament experience do you have? I have played a few local LANS, picked up with friends of mine, as well as game battles.   Have you attended any major tournaments (MLG, UMG)? I attended MLG Columbus as a spectator.   How often do you participate in online tournaments (360 Icons, GB)? When I had a team, I would compete in latter matches daily.   Do you prefer pickups/team scrims or matchmaking? Why? I enjoy team scrims with teams of the same caliber or higher.  It allows me to see how other people play and shows vulnerability in my own, or my teams, style of play.  Thus, teaching us how to adjust accordingly.   Do you watch replays and/or pro player streams? How often? When I am at my peak level of competition I watch every day when I am not playing myself.   Who is your favorite competitive Call of Duty player? Why? Wolf is by far one of my favorite players.  I have spent a lot of time talking to him recently and I think he is a great player who needs to find the right team for him, and has an awesome personality to match!   What is your favorite competitive Call of Duty team? Why? Team Kaliber has been a favorite team of mine since it's rise in Black Ops 2.  Most of that team was composed of vVv players (the ones who originally brought me here) and from the day they left fourth they have improved to a top notch team.   What is your favorite Call of Duty game? Why? My favorite game to play is Modern Warfare 2.  It takes me back to the days where I just had fun with the game.  My favorite game competitively is Black Ops 2.  I find it to be the best game since it provides the most action, online and at LAN, as well as the online gameplay being the least "broken", for lack of a better term.   What was your best competitive moment? What was your worst? My best competitive moment was either the team scrim where I had 22 blitz captures, or a SND 2V1 clutch to take the map.  My worst moment is accidentally walking off the side of Meltdown SND, causing a loss.   What do you hope to achieve, competitively? I want to play with a team to achieve top placements and I will do whatever it takes to do it.  I've had a few months off from CoD (since Titanfall came out actually) and just need a short adjusting period to get used to the dynamics of the game again, and the Xbox One.  This time, I am not losing sight of the people who will help bring me there, and bring back the glory vVv once had in Call of Duty eSports.

Now or days when I sit back and think about the successes I obtained recently in my persoanl life, the first thing that pops to my head is how did i get here? Where did i gain these skills and knowledge to get where I am now? When i think about it, a good majority of the experience I have and who I am growing to be, came from vVv Gaming.

Here I want to share my favorite memory of vVv Gaming and in the hopes I'd like to ask you the community to do the same. I noticed that a great deal of our efforts and passion we put into this community comes from the bonds we share, the memories we make, and the skills we then give each other to conquer the battlefields of gaming and also the battlefields of life. That is something that makes us so unique and also labeled
    "The Talent Facotry."

My favorite memory of vVv came from the attendance of MLG Columbus. On the meeting ground of all the best players in the world gathering in one location for a weekend action packed gaming of epic proportions, vVv came and we came like a tidal wave! With history being made, this was the event where we had the highest attendance of vVv members ever at over 30 people! It was amazing from start to finish, A lot of old friends meeting once more from across the country as well as friends finally getting to meet each other and creating a weekend full of new memories that will never be forgotten. I know it's a weekend I won't ever forget.

I got to meet a majority of the community that I grown to love and be friends with over the forums and still with 2 and a half years of being here and talking, getting to know and gaming with people, meeting them was a whole new ball game! I felt that there was still much more to the community that I have still yet learn to know but I was glad. The more people I met and got to hang out with, the more I learned about myself too. Where my passion for vVv lead to the career and education path I am following now.

All of this clicked when I met the founder of this prestigeous community Jerry Prochazka. Upon meeting him he made it clear what he was here to do and that's finding the new leadership team of vVv Gaming that can continue to help flourish everything we have accomplished thus far since 2007 and I wanted that so bad as others have as well from the passion that they displayed burning within them. With attending the event by day and meeting with Jerry and RobzGod by night with the other passionate members, the entire weekend went beyond just a meet and greet of passionate gamers to the meeting ground of new potential future e-sports leaders and future vVv Staff leaders. Where everything discussed that entire weekend made me feel i was actually apart of something way bigger than I realized and it made me feel like the happiest person in the world to be mentored by Jerry and Rob and learn everything I have from everyone i came across in vVv thus far.

That is my favorite memory of vVv to date and im sure there will be many more! So i encourage all of you. Share a memory, write a story if you'd like or even share a small memory if need be. I want to know what you love and learned about from the community!

Absolutely the most fun I have ever had here NO QUESTION! As a general overview and being associated with vVv, the people you meet are amazing!  As you see in the picture Bizkit put up, plenty of us attended!  There are many more not pictured as well, including myself.  There are so much to do a weekend doesn't feel like enough time at all!  I was there for Call of Duty of course, but the bit of DOTA I watched I enjoyed!  I have never played it but gained a bit of knowledge about the game!  Outside of the event, the whole experience was amazing!  Just hanging out, really getting to know different people, from who they are visually, and just as people, has built some friendships I wouldn't give up for the world!

Columbus was the first time I traveled by myself.  I arrived early morning Friday, in the rain, with my favorite pair of DC Villains on, which are not the shoes to be wearing in the rain FYI.  For hours, my socks and shoes were wet while I was waiting for the rest of my room to arrive.  It was my stupid fault for picking a 3:40 am bus time, so I can't complain at all.  I spent some time at the convention center, grabbed a coffee and relaxed.  After the rain died down, I took a walk around, just to pass some time.  I had a chance to get my bearings, see the city, and it was super relaxing!  The ONLY problem was I wanted a McDonalds McMuffin, and I was NOT walking to the nearest McDonalds thats for sure. As a substitute, though, I did find a breakfast diner and got one of theirs  .

Finally, I got the text my room mates for the weekend arrived. Could I have asked for better people to stay with?  Absolutely not!  The two members were vVv Brock and vVv Sintherius.  All I can say about these two: They are hysterical!  When the event and extra activities weren't going on, the fun still kept up.  All I can say for when they, and the few others that will get what became kind of an inside joke for us, is: (little kid voice) "When does Optic play!!!!!!!!!????????" "GREEN WALL FOREVER!!!!"

Like Bizkit, I spent a lot of time learning staff positions for vVv, which I had the pleasure of spending a short time on, and in the future would love to be back on! Most of this time was spent with some of the most dedicated members of this community, including vVv Sugarbear, Natural, Addiction, Bullet, Metalfoot, Robzgod, and the man himself LordJerith! These are just a few of those who I began to develop a relationship with not just as "Joe Schmo the gamer from Idaho" whose in "Uncle Woody's Clan".  It gave a real name and face to people you talk to all of the time.  Many topics throughout these meetings were discussed, and not all were about the game.  Like I said, it really just developed and gave a definition to the word "Friend", that just wasn't just saved on a list and a gamer tag on an online server.

Some of the funniest and best memories did not occur at the event, or meetings.  They happened running around at night, just hanging out, some as old friends, or new found ones.  By far the funniest moment was when El Presidente Robzgod may or may not (I'm still undecided on this matter) have hit on our waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings.  Let me explain the situation.
Someone got the bright idea to go to "B dubs", I believe on Sunday night before we all left Monday morning.  The group consisted of Metalfoot, Bizkit, Tahvvy, Robzgod, Brock, and myself.  We were all branding some sort of vVv material out that night and our poor, poor waitress was just so curious to ask what the logo stood for.  As we are all trying to explain what eSports is, the event going on that weekend, how some players actually make money but none of us do, etc.  She decides to ask about the organization and who would know the most about it.  Out of nowhere, Robz hand is across the table with the business card and he says, "I'm the president".  Rob, if your reading this I am still dumbfounded how you had a business card out and across the table to her so fast, please explain.

The table bust out in hysterical laughter, because honestly it was the last thing any of us expected at the time.  The joke lasted for a while within the few at the table, and died after the caption contest from Columbus pictures.  Quite honestly, that moment is the one that really sticks out the most in my mind of the funniest moments on the event, and if any of those who were there please explain!

My experience with vVv have been nothing but great!  The people I've met, friendships I've formed, and memories I made are some not everyone can say they've had.  I owe a lot to one, my family for even letting me attend the event, and two this organization for giving me the opportunities it already has!  I am looking forward to the growth of the Titanfall division, DOTA2 continuing to expand, and maybe even the return of a dedicated team to represent us at LAN!  The future for vVv as a whole looks bright!  We have had a great start to the year with the League of Legends team wrecking kids, and hopefully a re-formation of a CoD, or hopefully a full start to a Titanfall or DOTA 2 team to broaden our horizons once again, and show our dominance in the eSports scene!

Thanks for taking the time to read this!  Just one final thought before I finish up.  Weather you are an applicant or member of this organization, playing or spectating, I highly suggest going to any major event you can!  PAX, MLG, UMG, or any of the ones strictly for PC, and especially for LoL with the dominance we have been establishing recently!  I can't say it enough, the people you meet and memories you have are timeless and so different from any other times you can remember.

P.S. vVv Bizkit is a boss.  He knows why xD
