I always saw red as our color, not gray, white or black. Other colors always felt more as supportive colors. For that reason I think the middle V should be red, if you feel there is too much red, maybe make the wings be other colors? See how that would look like?

If we are hard set on the shield design. I feel that a hybrid between the shield design below and Bagzli's idea ( https://imgur.com/jD2OZXP ) would bring together the ideology of rebranding the organization and rebuilding it, while also maintaining the Org's history that has been preserved through the last decade. The Eagle and Chevrons in the middle dont hold the vVv essence at all in my opinion.

    Where am I at today?
Many of you here that have posted probably do not know me as I came after your time here, however, I am Bagzli and I did a number of things at vVv Gaming. I've started out as an admin in our Guild Wars 2 Guild and moved onto running the said Guild, followed by running all the MMO guilds we had and then even became the President of vVv Gaming. I've also built the current website that we have now.  I have been eSports focused with my time here, but I focused on creating content instead of participating in it. For example, I would create Tournaments for players to participate. I did this in Guild Wars 2 (Kings of The Mists), Rocket League (Supersonic Series), and PUBG (The Armaggedon Series). Currently, I still lurk the forums from time to time and drop in to say hi on Discord. I would say today I'm in a great place. I've recently bought a house and am counting days until I can move in. For me, this was a huge milestone to cross and I'm very happy I've finally accomplished that goal.

    Do I still Game?
I still game, however, due to my efforts mostly being focused on a personal project, I've driven down to currently playing a game that lets me be very casual... Runescape... I've always loved MMO's, That is actually how I found vVv Gaming, through Guild Wars 2 Guild. I also play from time to time: Rocket League, Dead By Daylight, Dota 2, PUBG, and Overwatch.

What platform do I mainly play on now?  I've always been a PC Player, although I did buy a switch and been loving Legend of Zelda. I do also own XBOX One, just its been collecting dust lately...
What do I do for work?  I'm a software engineer. I create websites. I've worked on Payment Processing websites in the past and now I work for a startup company which is a different type of adventure for me than what my previous work was.
Did your time in vVv affect where you are at today?
Yes, time spent here I will never regret as it has given me opportunities to grow in various areas. I'd like to believe I have grown as a person from my interactions with various people I have met due to the work I did here and as well as professionally. vVv Gaming website has been the first website I ever made on my own and it has given me the confidence to create more websites and seek better opportunities due to that experience.

Good luck on your app, which by the way is one of the better apps I have seen in a while, so good job on putting some thought and time into it! Also, you got to play with Vall...wow that girl has been avoiding me like the plague. So jealous right now...

    I, vVv Bagzli, endorse Grimwolf!
How much time have you spent with the applicant, in-game or out?
I don't have an exact number but been playing with Joshua for about 3-4 months at least. What was your first impression of the community member? Did it change at all over time? If so, how?
I don't honestly remember my first impression, however, I can say that he is a person who tries hard and is willing to take feedback. What was your favorite moment with them (in-game or out)?
My favorite moment was when he defeated me in a 1v1 game. He didn't go to brag about it nor has ever brought it up.  Typically people are too quick to brag about that, but not Grimm. I like him better as a person for that. What makes this applicant a good fit for vVv Gaming?
He is very active on our discord and I think this activity alone helps us bring more people to vVv Gaming. How could they improve to be a better potential community member?
I would say that I do often see him sitting alone in a channel. I would suggest that when you can't find anyone online to play with, a good strategy is to meet somebody in a pug 2v2 and befriend them, bring them on discord and next time when there is nobody around again, they might be! Anything else we should know about this applicant? Any skills or talents that no one else knows yet?
    Unfortunately, I don't have anything

    Hey Zack,

I'm a little worried about your application as I rarely ever see you on our discord getting to know our community. You seem like a great guy, you learn fast as a coder and a tournament admin and are the kind of person I wish to fill our community with. However, you do need to get the endorsements to be able to become a member and your track right now is not very good as I'm not seeing you interacting with the community at all. Please keep in mind that if you don't get an endorsement after 3 weeks, I am forced to close your application, and there is a period of 1 month before you can open it again.

vVv Bagzli got a reaction from vVv Azazel in Why I am proud to be a member of vVv Gaming!
Have you wondered as of late why people do some of the things they do? Take me for instance, I have a well-paid job for my age and work experience. There is a full career ahead of me. I also have a very specific set of tools within my belt that would allow me to join any community on the internet that I wish and yet I choose to stick with vVv Gaming.  Why?
The answer to this question is actually rather simple, it is one word that was spoken to me a few days ago by vVv JasonParadise. Roots. He told me, you’ve got to remember your roots. Whether I have realized this just a few days ago or have known it all along, the truth stands. The force that drives me to lead vVv Gaming is that I want to give back the opportunities to those around me that have been given to me. I want the place that has started it all for me be the place that starts it all for you.
vVv Gaming has had many talented individuals pass through. If you take our owners, for instance, vVv LordJerith, vVv Doomhammer, and vVv RobZGod, they have started their gaming careers at vVv Gaming. They are now at Wargaming.net, and previously Riot Games. Heck vVv Lord Jerith doesn’t just work there now, he is an executive! To me that is incredible, to me that is inspiring and to be fully honest, I’m a little envious that they were able to do so much with vVv Gaming that it lead their life on a path to what I am considering a paradise. Even more amazing I find is that they still find time in the day to offer me advice and guidance when I need it.
We have had individuals start their careers at vVv Gaming and end up at Riot, Ubisoft, Curse, Naughty Dog, and even on the main stage of RLCS! Looking at Liefx and Lawler, I cannot be more proud of these two amazing individuals, who started their casting career with Season 2 of Supersonic Series and are now casting on the biggest stage Rocket League has to offer. It really makes me happy to hear stories like this.
I can go on for few pages as to why vVv Gaming is awesome, I can talk about how the leadership opportunities given to me here have helped me reach the potential of what I am capable of. I can tell you about an angry kid who lashed out at his clanmates over stupidest of things because he did not know how to handle pointless drama in an online gaming guild. This angry kid is by no means perfect today, he is a grown man who, like all of us, has a lot of learning and growing up to do. However, thanks to the guidance he has acquired within vVv gaming, he has learned many great qualities that come with being a leader. He also has a message for you all and I would be honored if you would pay close attention to what he has to say:
Each person is good at something, in fact, everyone is good at more than just one thing. It sometimes takes the right environment to bring those skills to light. It can take a lot of encouragement, friendship, and hard work to show the world your true potential. I have found mine thanks to the opportunities and support given to me here at vVv Gaming. As such I would like to help you find yours. There are mentors here who will help you learn, who will help you get on the right path. There are also numerous individuals here who just want to be your friends, because after all, what are gaming communities if not a group of friends who share common interests and are there for each other through the good and through the bad.
Why should you join vVv Gaming? To better yourself and people around you. To make friends for life and to create an environment that will live on to help future generations find their talents and survive in the cruel world that we know as the Internet.
I am vVv Bagzli, a proud member of vVv Gaming, and I urge you to not sell yourself short. To not allow others tell you that you can’t do it. If you have a passion for gaming and if you want to fill your belts with tools that we can offer, then hop in our Discord and chat with us.  Tell us that you want to get involved, tell us what you are passionate about and then if you are ready to put in the hard work, we will help you thrive.

    I, vVv Bagzli, endorse Broba!
How much time have you spent with the applicant, in-game or out?
I have play a decent amount of games with Broba, but I can't say we play on regular basis. What was your first impression of the community member? Did it change at all over time? If so, how?
My initial impression of Broba was that he is very energetic and that he has the potential to make a great caster.  Over time my opinion has not changed. What makes this applicant a good fit for vVv Gaming?
Broba seems keen to help out, he was all too happy to accept the role of Stream Coordinator and from what I can tell he has been doing a fantastic job.  He Volunteers his time outside of vVv Gaming, but understands and knows how to manage his priorities.  From what I have seen he is a person to count on and I hope that he will show us what he is capable of now that he has all the tools to succeed. How could they improve to be a better potential community member?
I'd heavily encourage higher forum activity, if there is nothing to reply to, its ok to start a new discussion yourself! Anything else we should know about this applicant? Any skills or talents that no one else knows yet?
He works hard, plays harder and is a blast to hang out with.  His casting is better with each stream.

I have not played too much with Mohulis but we talk almost on daily basis. What was your first impression of the community member? Did it change at all over time? If so, how?
My initial impression of Mohulis was that he would make a good tournament admin.  Over time he has proven my statement to be true.  He now runs all the Rocket League tournaments for us. What makes this applicant a good fit for vVv Gaming?
It has been quite some time since I found a person that I can give a long list of tasks to do with a deadline and come back to it to find them all done.  Honestly, Mohulis has been going over and beyond to keep vVv Gaming connected to other Rocket League communities, to keep our tournaments running, and impressively still looks to do more.  Mohulis is a sole definition to 4 of the 5 pillars that define vVv Gaming: Value, Excellence, Diversity and Chain of Command. How could they improve to be a better potential community member?
Forum Activity is very sparse, I understand how busy he gets, however, I would try to focus a bit of attention to interacting with community members over the forum. Anything else we should know about this applicant? Any skills or talents that no one else knows yet?
He is hard-working, easy to get along with and loves playing rocket league

    Hi Colin,

It is awesome to see you apply!  I wish you the best luck with your application!  I wanted to let you in on a change we have made to the application process.  Seeing how we have been pruning a lot of members recently, we feel at this point that seeking 5 endorsements may prove to be quite a challenge.  As such, we are changing the application process to require 3 endorsements.  With this change, we are also changing how long you have to wait between endorsements from 7 to 10 days.  This will ensure that your application lasts at the minimum of 30 days which will give you plenty of time to get to know us by the time you have your pre-interview.

vVv Bagzli got a reaction from N0thinButTheRain in We have moved to Discord
There has been a strong desire among the community to migrate to Discord for quite some time. As of today, our community will be using Discord and as a result, we will no longer be actively using our TeamSpeak Server.  The TeamSpeak server will temporarily stay active to help inform all of our move to Discord. Within the next couple of months, it will be shut down completely.  For a quick invite to our new Discord server, you can click here.
