Asyrite got a reaction from Kleopatra in ELO Reset
I actually mained support in season 1 for a time as well as playing it actively in season two (around 2.3k elo). I started out as support however, and the best advice I can give to you is that in your placement matches you need to pick supports that are play makers. People like Blitz, Ali, Taric are all great choices in that they make initiation insanely obvious, if you stun someone your team will attack them. Playing supports like sona, janna and soraka are still viable, but they are harder to make big mechanical plays with (janna can with ult/tornado but requires followup from team). You want to pick a support who can single out a target and take care of them allowing your team to secure the main map objectives. Playing supports like Lux and Zyra are also great choices because not only do they give great utility/cc/burst in lane, if you find your ap or ad carry are lacking you can always build more ap heavy and be a bigger contributor to late game team fights
More or less if you think you can play an aggressive support I would do so for the following example. If you play a passive support and your ad is brutal you will lose the lane 9/10. If your ad is brutal and you play an aggressive support however you can pull out mechanical plays which help you spoonfeed them the gold they need to build up their items for late game.
Hope this helps/makes sense

Not really, LoL is far more popular than SCBW ever was already and is much earlier in the lifespan than SCBW was before it became a competitive title.
Also with Riot's model of constantly keeping the game up to date with tweeks and new champions it's not likely to ever go stale.

I don't know how much you know about Ocelote or professional League of Legends in general, but many players make a living off the game and Ocelote is the main source of income for his entire family. I suggest you watch this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHVTqRku9XM, SK's reaction to qualifying for the Season 2 Finals and guaranteeing themselves a SALARY from Riot for Season 3.

Asyrite reacted to vVv Paradise in League of Legends division update - New Manager
Hey everyone! As of yesterday, I have taken over as the manager for the vVv Gaming League of Legends division. A lot has changed here in the last 24 hours, and I wanted to talk to you all about my vision for our community. Here are a few quick points:
We need to provide a better environment for our players to develop their skill and have fun. As such, we have already removed quite a few toxic players from our mumble. Please keep an eye out for toxicity. If you see toxic activity please pull the player aside and talk to them one on one. If things do not change, come to me.
Additionally, applicants have been cleaned out and we will be focusing on adding quality players to our division from now on. By quality, I’m not talking about just skill. We will be looking for players that are helpful and players that are friendly.
We will be focusing on creating an “Aspire” program for League of Legends players. We will make this into a place where you can receive coaching and enjoy yourself.
I need your feedback! If you see something that can be done better, or if you have an idea on how we can improve, please message me! Any and all feedback is appreciated. If you would like to email me, my email address is email@example.com
vVv Medusa and other staff members will be helping me out in this change. I’m looking forward to growing our League division and working together with all of you to make this the best it can be. Last but not least, I look forward to playing LoL with all of you! See you on the fields of justice!

We are happy to announce after an extended tryout process we have found our new AD carry in Jigaflow! Jigaflow will be joining the Tasty Pastries as a permanent member and we're thrilled to have him on board with us as we pursue bringing our team to the next level.
