Magicmooch got a reaction from YeNiBeaR in Learning a new role
While I don't play League anymore I know what its like jumping into a new role that you're unfamiliar with (or have been scarred from previous experiences).  Honestly, there aren't any tips or tricks.  The best thing to do is to just dive in with an "expect the worst hope for the best" kind of attitude.  Expect to have people rage at you for small, and large, mistakes and take them with a grain of salt.  The only way to get better at something is to keep doing it and thats the best advice I can give.

Also from what I have seen lately Sivir seems to be pretty popular in the LCS.  Same thing with Kalista but I don't know shit about her so good luck lol.

Magicmooch got a reaction from Ahryse in Warlords of Draenor Cinematic and Release date!
    Not exactly.

In the book "War Crimes" it explains all of the events from the fall of Garrosh to WoD, but I will do my best to summarize some things.

Garrosh is thrown in jail by the Shado-Pan but is broken out by a rogue dragon aspect of the Bronze Dragonflight, Kairozdormu (probably not spelled correctly), who are the dragon aspects that control time (i.e. Nozdormu and Chromie are popular ones in WoW).

Kairoz sends Garrosh back in time to Draenor to the time period BEFORE the Orcs drank the blood of Mannaroth which turned them into the Orcs we know in the current timeline on Azeroth.  Basically Garrosh convinces his father that drinking the blood will have negative effects on the Orcish Hordes and Grom refuses to drink the blood (as seen in the cinematic).  Garrosh then convinces the new "Iron Horde" to finish building the Dark Portal (which would have been completed for the use of the Burning Legion in the current timeline)  for the Iron Horde to use so that Garrrosh can go to current Azeroth with his new Horde to wipe out everything and get what he wants; a world of death, destruction, and orcs.
So, this is a parallel timeline to the one that we know and is current on Azeroth.  Going through the Dark Portal in Azeroth will take you to Outland, not Draenor.  So obviously there will be a different way to get there once WoD drops.  However, going through the Dark Portal from the Draenor side WILL take you to current Azeroth, as is the doing by Kairoz (more or less).

Hopefully that clears some things up.

Don't squish the logos, for both vVv and LoL. Also, get rid of your signature on the bottom. You just applied a photoshop filter and added the logos on top, you didn't really change the original artwork enough to claim it as yours and if I was the creator of that artwork I would be pissed off at you for having your name there lol.

Magicmooch got a reaction from Soap in Why 2014 is the Year of Counter-Strike
If you were living under a rock this past weekend IEM Katowice was played out for championships in various titles, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, and Starcraft 2.

Not surprising to anyone that League of Legends continued to shatter viewing records with over 431,000 people tuning into the Grand Final match.  More surprisingly though, CS:GO broke a few records of their own.

With one of the largest crowds to attend a CS final at 11,500 and an even more staggering viewing record of 250,000 concurrent, Counter-Strike has grown leaps and bounds since Global Offensives release is 2012.  Since then, player count has had a continued rise on a monthly basis and sky-rocketing to over 160,000 players last month.

The Daily Dot has done an article about why 2014 will be the year of Counter-Strike.  I personally think CS is an amazing game and I encourage all of you to give it a shot, hopefully you picked it up yesterday when it was only $3.74 but it is only $14.99.

As a heads-up, it gives the most efficient way to level your engineering, but you do not have to follow it to the T if you have other means of gaining levels and plentiful resources.

vVv Gaming just recently announced that we will be trying to move our community back to its pure competitive gaming roots, for more information on what that means please check out this thread: http://www.vvv-gaming.com/forum/topic/64422-2014-year-of-talent/

If you have not seen our 5 Pillars of vVv Gaming it is HIGHLY recommended that you take a look at them. They are the cornerstone of our organization and it is very important that you know and understand them.

A great way to get involved with the community is to join us on Mumble! There is usually always members and applicants on playing games of League and it is a great way to get involved with the community. Forum activity is also very important to being an active applicant, so be sure to check your application and forums!

Lastly, I wanted to ask you how you would go about adding value to vVv Gaming. vVv Doomhammer made a post on some ways that we evaluate the value you add to vVv Gaming, this list is to give you an idea of what we look at it does not mean that this is all you have to do or that if you do the bare minimum it is considered adding value. We take adding value very seriously, here is where you can find the list. Here is some other information about vVv Gaming, such as our Hall of Fame and Members lists.

    Hey guys,

Are you looking to get inovled with Tournaments?  More specifically, are you looking to learn more about torunament creation, management, administration, shout-casting, or production?  If you are then contact me IMMEDIATELY as I may have opportunities for some of you.

As some of you may or may not know I am in charge of running the League of Legends events at vVv Gaming.  Most of you have been around for the King of the Summoner Hill series but I am looking to expand into more tournaments in the future.  Problem is, I cannot do it alone.  If you have any interest in learning what it takes to create and be apart of tournaments so that they can run smoothly and effectively send me a PM on the website telling me what exactly you are wanting to do with tournaments.

More information will come later on once I get replys but this is a great opportunity for members and applicants to get involved with vVv Gaming!

We hold Inhouses every Tuesday and Thursday night at 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific. This is a great opportunity to improve as a player so it is highly recommended to show up with a goal in mind for each Inhouse to improve. I also recommend tracking your progress to see if you do improve over the course of the inhouses you play.
