Happened to QTpie & Crumbz when the former was carrying the latter into Challenger today. They were down 1-10 in team totals, QT was 0/0/0 on a hypercarry and ultimately went unstoppable, and they made a quick turnaround. That being said, you gotta know when you can win and when you can't - otherwise you're just wasting your time.
Jordan! I will forever remember that Kings Cup game. That day was the day vVv Gaming became a tangible thing for me. Before then it was just some people I played games with. That moment was truly awesome. You're an awesome person and i'm sure you'll make Riot Games a better place! Congrats man! remember the little people!
So as some of you already know, recently me and my friend vVv Chrono went to MLG Anaheim. Neither of us had been to an MLG event before and we flew out from Wisconsin in order to make it. Needless to say, it was one of the most fun and exciting events I have ever been to. For me it is a way to see what I've been working for as someone who aspires to make a shot at going pro. The event gave me a second wind in a way after feeling rather burnt out recently after multiple failed attempts to promote out of Diamond 5. Just yesterday I was able to promote into D4, and am now hovering around my promotion into D3. Along with this new momentum I would like to take a second to say that I will hopefully be streaming on a more regular basis, now that I have actually promoted and I am playing ranked more regularly. I will hopefully have more details about a schedule in the near future. Anyway for those of you who have already supported me on my stream thanks and for those of you haven't dropped by yet here is the link! http://www.twitch.tv/vvvquasimodo https://twitter.com/vVvQuasimodo I will do my best to make my stream as viewer friendly as possible with commentary etc. Still, since I am fairly new to streaming, I might need a little time to get settled in to the point where I can provide good commentary throughout games (everyone's gotta start somewhere ) So yea anyway, MLG was awesome and I look forward to hitting D1 ASAP!
Hey I just wanted to post on here cause I haven't been as active as I was awhile ago.
I have been really busy with real life stuff so I haven't been able to make it to in-houses lately but that should change next week.
I'm not losing interest in vVv or anything just wanted to clear it up.
So after talking with some of the community members we have decided to go ahead with our Community Tournament Idea.
With that, I am going to keep this short and simple; sign up in this thread if you are looking to participate!
Looking to get 4 teams of 5 (obviously) so we are going to need AT LEAST 20 people. I know we have more than that in the community so make sure you pass on the word in mumble/the website!
As a reminder this is how the picking will go down:
-4 team captains will be picked
-those captains will then pick players for their teams
-team seedings will be decided once teams are all set up
-this is for a 3 week tournament in which you HAVE to be present for 2 out of three weeks (the weeks in which your team plays)
The Bracket will look something like this:
So make sure you put your summoner name AND your Ranked League (if you don't have a ranked league, put in the amount of normal wins you have) and best of luck to all participants!
Beast's Team (Team A):
JayC's Team (Team B ):
Ron Mock's Team (Team C):
-About 17 Ninjas
Spike's Team (Team D):
Now, because we have reserves we will ask that players at least report to their team captains by Thursday, May 23rd, saying they will be there and get together for at least 1 team practice before your matches. Refer to the first post in the thread for information on your teams schedule. Reserves will be as follows, if a player from a team cannot show up the first reserve will then go to that team. In the even we get 4 sign ups they will be divided evenly between the teams as subs.
Also, by you signing up you are saying that you WILL show up for your matches. If you do not show up for your scheduled match with your team, the next time a tournament like this happens you will immediately be put into the reserves, regardless of whether you sign up first or last.
Again, please get into contact with your captains ASAP.
First match will be May 28th at 8pm EST, 5pm PST. Team A vs Team D.
I encourage all to show up and watch even if you aren;t playing!
How much time have you spent with the applicant, in-game or out?
I've known and played with Kyle for almost 2 years now
What was your first impression of the community member? Did it change at all over time? If so, how?
I thought he was an amazing person, at the time he was in the Air Force and now hes out of it. He has a great personality
What was your favorite moment with them (in-game or out)?
Probably one of the times back in our old TeamSpeak server haha
What makes this applicant a good fit for vVv Gaming?
He is a great person, always willing to listen and can bring other great members to the community!
How could they improve to be a better potential community member?
Post in the forums, and be on mumble more. But he just applied so I say give him some time haha
Anything else we should know about this applicant? Any skills or talents that no one else knows yet?
He is ex-military and not afraid to tell you how it is! haha
Do you feel that they know and understand the five pillars of vVv Gaming? What about the Summoner's Code
I fully believe that he does know both. Yes hes been banned, but hes learned his lesson
THIS GUY GOT WRECKED ON THE ENEMY TEAM. And was completely calm the whole time. It really showed that there are some good people out there in solo queue haha. He asked me some questions and I linked him to the application haha
We'll be playing tomorrow in the Carolina Game Summit for LoL. 16 Teams for LoL and our team consist of current vVv Members JayC and Misty. Former vVv Members vfx and NoControl. Our Fifth will be one of vfx's friends.
That video was GREAT! He made all of the right points.
I agree with Medusa 100% here. Not everyone in the world might be having a good day like you are, so recognize this and act accordingly.
I really wish people would follow this mindset more often and I really think a lot of people from vVv can learn from this guy.
Damn, sorry about this. I'm going through some things right now. Maybe, I'll apply at a later date when its more feasible for me fulfill the expectations required for vVv. My apologies. vVv is definitely filled with great people, its just not my time yet.
Hey man! Whats up and welcome to the forums! Hope to see you on league. Feel free to add me haha. Join us on mumble! Any other questions feel free to ask! :]
EDIT: This is just me, but I would color code your application! makes it a little easier on the eyes if you know what i mean
More things for you to do ;]: Go ahead and link your twitter and facebook to your vVv profile! Being a socialite this will help you out more, get you some extra followers etc. Also fill out the "About Me" section and tell us a little about yourself, let us know what you do outside gaming
