Finish by Clicking “OK” and then “Connect” while “vVv Gaming” is highlighted in your Servername Favorites list.

For more information on how to configure and personalize your mumble, look below.

    Configuring Mumble:

    An Introduction window will appear,

After clicking “Next”, a new window titled “Device Selection” will now appear. For your input device, use “Default Device” for your device, unless you know you use something different. For your output device, use the same ruling as your input device. Enable positional audio and if you want applications’ sound to lower when someone is talking in mumble, also enable “Attenuate applications while other users talk”.

How frequently do you use Facebook, Twitter, Digg and/or MySpace?

I don't use Myspace, Twitter I use rarely, Facebook I use all the time.

How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom?

I actually first heard of vVv from a Geek Tone article titled: "Gamer Tips: Improving Your Game". I read it before knowing too much about vVv and thought it was a very nice article and read a few more, which were also quite interesting. After looking at the vVv website, I listened to some podcasts and realized that vVv was exactly what I have been looking for; A competitive gaming community that attends different events(as I plan on doing),and a community of players who really play competitively. Sadly, I was not introduced to the website by anyone, and only knew of vVvMurder from Starcraft 2. I plan on meeting a lot of new people!

Why you are interested in joining vVv Gaming?

I am interested in joining vVv Gaming because not only was vVv the first gaming community I came across, but looking into the vVv Gaming, I really liked what I saw. I have been looking for somewhere where all of my games I play competitively can be shared with others, rather than join a smaller group who only plays one or two games. I also am interested in joining because I've been wanting to step up my competing to the next level, and I think vVv can help me achiev that.

Adding value is an important aspect of being in vVv Gaming. How will you, personally, add value?

As I see, communities like vVv, MLG, and others are built by their player and fan base. Without those, there really is no vVv. I would add value by helping to build a fan base, by promoting and showing people vVv at different events to build up vVv's fan base and player base bigger than it is already is.

Are you familiar with vVv's Geek to Me articles and Losers Bracket Podcast? If so, what some of your favorites and why?

I am familiar with vVv's Geek to Me articles, and Loser Bracket Podcasts. I have read a few Geek to Me articles and listen to all of the Loser Bracket Podcasts. I believe they are informative, and they can pass some time when bored. My favorite Loser Bracket episode has to be the one after MLG Columbus, where LordJerith explained how Call of Duty needs to be more entertaining. I thought this was interesting because I have been thinking the same for awhile now. I agree that the casters should be people who have played the game competitively and know how they can make the game THAT much more interesting to those that are watching, fans or players. I personally think they should take ideas from the Starcraft casters, since there is nothing more entertaining then watching a good Starcraft game.

How long have you been playing video games?

I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember. I remember being about 4 years old playing Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 while on a road trip. I also remember playing the NES in my cousins bedroom. I have moved on to bigger and better things over the years, and eventually came up into the competitive side of video games, where I have had the most fun in my life.

How many hours per week do you devote to gaming?

I devote a lot of time to video games. This time includes practicing, playing, perfecting, and enjoying many games. Per week, I play around 30-40 hours of video games. This may seem like a lot, but when you are bored, video games is a great cure.

What’s the hardest game you’ve ever beaten?

I have no exact answer to this question, because online games have no end. There is always something you are learning, and perfecting. As I don't play single player games as much as I do multi-player, I believe that the word "beaten" can never really apply to online games that you compete in. I can say however, I believe the hardest moment I have had in online gaming was being the best player on the server Dunemaul on World of Warcraft. Though this may sound a little nerdy, you need a lot of time to be the top in gear, the top in damage, and the top in skill in such a competitive environment.

What games coming out are you looking forward to play and why?

Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. I those BC3 and CoD:MW3 will be the top FPS games in 2011-2012. For MMO's I really don't think I will be playing them too much anymore, but I predict the WoW community will eventually slow down, and Rift's community will grow huge, passing WoW.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming?

Although my main hobbies include gaming, outside of gaming, I enjoy snowboarding in the winter, and driving places. During the winter, I go up to a local mountain to snowboard with friends a couple times a week.

Where do you see yourself next year at this time?

In the next year, I have big and small goals that I want to reach. I want to attend many LAN and MLG events (Providence!). A big goal I want to achieve is to play in those events, not only would it be a very cool experience, it would be the main thing I have been working towards - competing with the best of the best.

What kind of competitive experience do you have?

I haven't played in any events away from my desk chair at home, however, I play in many tournaments, leagues and ladders. Me and some friends recently won $150 from a 3v3 sniping tournament. I am signed up for the NVIDIA Geforce tournament in Starcraft, and a small tournament for 5 copies of BC3 in Call of Duty.

Have you attended any national events (MLG, WCG, CPL)?

Sadly I have not attended any events, however, I plan to! I will be at Raleigh, North Carolina and Providence, Road Island for the MLG Pro Circuit. I would definitely love to meet up with vVv!

How long have you been playing competitively?

I started getting competitive in gaming around 4 years ago playing WoW, CoD:4 and then pushing onto games like StarcraftII, CoD:MW and CoD:BO.

What was your best competitive moment? What was your worst?

Best, well not really "best", but the most intense - Had to be just 2 days ago, when our 5v5 SnD team was down 6-1 against the best team in the league. Being down 6-1, I thought for sure we were in some trouble. But we came back to win 13-10. I don;t really have a "bad" competitive moment. All of the games I play I enjoy to play. If I don't enjoy playing competitive, I just won't play the game. The only instances where competitive moments are not the best, is when we are winning so badly, without any competition.

What do you hope to achieve, competitively?

My personal goals with vVv include being a core Call of Duty player with vVv. I also would love to play in events nationwide. Big goals, but I'm trying to reach it.

    What was your toughest competition?

About 2 years ago, my team played in a Best Buy tournament for Modern Warfare 2. We surprisingly got very far into it. We practiced A LOT and it certainly paid off. We played some big name teams, and it was an enjoyable experience.

What do you hope to get out of vVv Gaming?

I don't plan on getting anything big out of vVv, but I do plan on achieving different things because of vVv. These could include going to events, meeting other competitive players, and getting my name noticed.
