You guys might want to spend a little more time on your application.  Just a thought...might want to put a little more thought into it rather than one word, two letter answers....

OhMyApollo got a reaction from Engel in Why vVv should continue to support halo.
Once again, not supporting this team, but Rapture brings a major point to the table which many people seem to forget...A game doesn't get better, or get support from itself, and it sure as heck doesn't get better with people being negative towards one game or another...And doesn't get resolved with things quickly becoming "A waste of time" as Spike put it a few posts above this one.  Bungie had seen the competitiveness in Halo 2, Halo 3..But Reach was less than perfect, no one on earth can argue that, but we could have handled Reach in better ways, but whats done is done.  343 may have slacked off in support for the begining of H4, but they are trying to get back into it, to site a few examples right off the top of my head, they're bringing the StarCraft 2 Multiplayer designer aboard as well as have hired Andy "Bravo" Dunksy(sp) who was/is a professional Halo coach and one of the major personalities in competitive Halo.  They have patched things, given us a playlist and are ACTIVELY  searching for feedback on the playlist.  In addition they are working with several big names in halo to make the settings better, did they get Halo 4 right? Not quite, is it what we need? Not exactly, but we can make it better, we just have to give it time.

Will the game recover over night like Spike appears to believe? Not a chance. Can we rebuild the community? We already have.

As for mudshot(since i must defend my Halo bretherand) since when is posting a support thread, a mudshot?  As far as i can tell, StarCraft has been mentioned 7 times in this thread, most of the time by you, and others talking about how they play but watch Halo(Give or take).  So i have no clue what you are talking about

But Halo has developer support now(ish) and we are rebuilding, I'd be more than happy to talk to anyone on the subject, any time, any where, any day.

I am sorry man, but that honestly isn't a good excuse, with Ability(Myself, Expozur, Xploits) busy in school as well. In fact that one of our players doesn't have access to a computer right now because he's in bootcamp/military school in the middle of nowhere, but still managed to get to a computer and put in his application by himself.

    Hope it works out

How long have you been playing competitively?

I have been playing competitively since the Halo 2 days. Being first introduced to MLG through custom games, then became amazed at it when it appeared on USA. Since then the rest is history. I wanted to go to events, but couldn't because i was to young. Then as soon as i could drive to an event, i went!

If you are attending a LAN event, please detail your travel plans here (flight info, car info, train info, bus info, etc)

I would be flying if it would be to great a distance,or more cost efficient. Other than that probably driving.

How many hours during the week do you devote to gaming? How many of those hours are for the game for which you are applying?
I would say i spend anywhere upwards of 20+ hours a week gaming, either gaming or creating some sort of content. Be it written, video, or just amusing myself by playing a game. I probably at the moment spend 10+ hours on Halo a week. Only because there is no one really playing at the moment due to school starting back up,

Have you attended any national events? (MLG, CPL, WCG?)

Yes, I have been to Multiple MLG events, notable placings included 30th MLG Columbus 2011, and top 24/tied 17th in MLG Columbus 2011.

Are you shy around people you don't know?

Absolutely NOT! Events are about networking, I have met more people and have made more friends than I ever would have had a chance to from gaming. Thanks to gaming I have friends from all over the United States, to the UK, to Australlia! I thrive off of meeting new people at events. I love talking to people at events

Link us to some of your best personal achievements.

I was the coach of vVv Ability in Columbus 2012:

I was the coach of The Fun Police in Columbus 2011:
    http://forums.majorl...gs-at-columbus/

What was your biggest loss or disappointment in gaming? Why did you lose that match?

My biggest loss in gaming I feel would be in Columbus 2012. We played Carbon(A professional team for top 12, which we lost) and then Apex.Devastation for top 16(A professional and the only European Halo team at the event) I consider both of these the biggest loss. We were simply unprepared, and under practiced. Because of the placings of a previous event, placing 21st in MLG Providence, teams did not consider us “good” because we placed 21st out of 91 teams. So we did not have quality teams to practice against consistently. Thought that to me at least sounds like a horrible excuse, it is true I feel. We ended up beating our main online scrim team 50-23, multiple times and had them rage quitting by the time we were done. We simply outplayed a team that we narrowly beat online.

I consider these my biggest disappointment as well. We were so close to breaking into the professional rankings, especially after two teams that had very little challenge in their bracket made it professional. We were so close we could taste it. We were 2 wins away from professional. We will not miss it again.

How can you PERSONALLY benefit vVv Gaming?

Personally? I believe I can benefit vVv by being a useful community member, as i consider myself to be friendly and easy to get along with, as well as a coach and helping people in whatever game they need. I also am fairly skilled at writing, having run an eSports news website, being a senior editor at another, and having my own blog. www.TheApolloLogs.wordpress.com. Also, I am fairly good at producing youtube content though at the moment my capture card is broken. I am currently waiting on a new one to come in mid September!

^^ Ability at MLG Winter Championship 2012 no SteelSeries yet Got'em now

If your team has a coach, please have him answer the following:

How did you become a coach for this team?

I was looking for a team to coach for Columbus 2012, and was messaging people, and Pappacat was one of the only people that I thought was semi-decent(Wow was I wrong, best team ever right here) to message me back. And I became the coach! Rest is history. I'd like to add at the time my internet was being stupid and i couldn't speak to any of the team except Pappacat, and they still let me coach them even though i got it fixed like eventually.

If asked, would your team tell us that they would not place as highly if it weren't for your coaching

I would like to think so, but I may be high on my horse there, so in all honesty I have no clue. I believe they will say that after Dallas though. I have been doing my homework on Halo 4, and plan to be one of the most well prepared coach for the event. I have talked to several professional coaches and they believe that coaches will be the difference between a good and a bad team in Dallas.

If you weren't a coach, would you be able to compete at a professional level

In all honesty I do not think I would be able to. I became a coach because I did not have time to compete and put into playing the game as much as i needed to, but i loved and still wanted to attend events, so I became a coach.

As a coach, do you know every call out for every map

In Halo: Reach and 3 I do. But in Halo 4 it is unknown as to what settings or maps they will use, as we have not seen a full layout of any one map. We will be working on this on Friday, I have a plan as to how we will be using part of Friday and the night which i will be happy to discuss with any of the upper vVv Just do not want to post it as it may be what gives us an edge in the tournament.

How many timers do you keep? For what?

It is unknown as to what timers are going to be used for Halo 4 or if they will be nessacary. But when I use timers in Halo Reach and Halo: 3, I keep one for power up, rockets and sniper. Though in some cases I did not keep timers, for I know/knew the times that they spawned.

How many LAN events have you attended as a Coach?

I have attended 5 events as a coach. It would have been six, but due to a bad sponsor I was not able to attend the Nationals for Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 where i would have coached Anarchy(Ended up getting 6th place).

What made you interested in coaching?

I love going to events, and because i could not put the time into the game i did not want to see anyone suffer. So i became a coach in order to help and still be able to attend events!

How can you benefit vVv Gaming?

I believe i can benefit vVv because I believe I can represent vVv well. I am a very outgoing person who is not afraid to talk to people I do not know. I am not afraid of crowds, or being loud at events. I am able and willing to put out both written and video content. I have great people skills and am willing to talk to almost everyone. I thrive on meeting new people as well as networking. It is why I attend events, and why I love what I do! Because of events like this, and eSports, I feel I have grown as a person.

Now, this is great news, however plane tickets are expensive to China (where WCG will be this year). The #1 spot in the qualifier gets plane and hotel mostly taken care of. I have to beat both coLQXC and coL Trimaster to get the top spot.

    Here's the bracket: http://us.wcg.com/?page=stem_schedule&stageid=4754

Cheer me on! I'll be streaming games vs qxc tomorrow night @ 9:00 EST ish

How many hours during the week do you devote to gaming? I devote as much time as i can manage when i'm not working and busy with school...Some where in the area of 20-40 hours. Depending on my workloads and what not

What was your biggest loss or disappointment in gaming? My biggest disapointement was back in 2008 when MLG took off R6V2 from the circuit. I was coaching the 8th place Anarchy, but our sponsor didn't bother to book my flight like he said he would and didn't tell us till a day before and by then we couldn't get a ticket.
