Thanks for taking the time to read my first official update since I've come back. After a lot of conversations with staff, community, sponsors, applicants and alumni, it was time to set a direction for vVv for the next 12 months. We want to be transparent with everyone, so you can hold me accountable for working toward these goals. This reflects our commitment to help YOU create awesome community experiences. When I give interviews, I make sure every member knows: "Ask not what vVv can do for you, but what you can do for vVv." As I stated above, vVv Gaming is YOUR community. Staff is here to help YOU make it awesome. Once again, this is YOUR community. We're here to help YOU shape, develop and grow vVv. We've made numerous changes to staff. Here is where we ended up: Application Experience Manager and Forum Admin: vVv SugarBear (Facebook) (Twitter) Business Development Director and Co-Owner: vVv RobZ (Facebook) (Twitter) CoD Community Manager: vVv B Easy (Facebook) (Twitter) LoL Community Manager: vVv C Wide (Facebook) (Twitter) Lead Designer: vVv Pherzghul (Facebook) (Twitter) Lead Web Developer: vVv Bagzli (Twitter) Organized Play Product Manager: vVv NaturaL (Twitter) HotS Organized Play Associate: vVv Saturn (Facebook) (Twitter) LoL Event Manager and Forum Admin: vVv Medusa (Facebook) ( Twitter) LoL Organized Play Associate: vVv Unverclopt (Facebook) (Twitter) (LoLKing) Team Experience Manager: vVv Bardo (Facebook) (Twitter) Coach, mentor, helper and he who shits upon bad kids: vVv LordJerith (Facebook) (Twitter) MISSION (for 2015-2016) "CREATE AWESOME EXPERIENCES FOR COMPETITIVE GAMERS" (for 2015-2016) GOALS have the highest rated organized play events as rated by competitive gamers have the most attended organized play events highest rated is more important than most attended be recognized as one of the best competitive gaming organizations in the world as rated by competitive gamers and our members be known as a talent factory by competitive gamers and sponsors STRATEGY create and run organized play events for competitive gamers sponsor and develop amateur teams to participate in and promote organized play events partner and deliver value to sponsors that create products and services for competitive gamers create and evolve an identity that competitive gamers want create and manage a clear path for competitive gamers who want our identity create and manage an ecosystem that develops competitive gamers and future gaming professionals EXECUTION AND TACTICS We now know where this big vVv Gaming ship is headed. We all know the mission. We know the objectives and goals we want to achieve, and we have strategies that tell us how to achieve these goals. This is actually the easy part. Now comes the hard part. Each of the strategic items above will need executions and tactics. EXECUTIONS are what is done to deliver on or to coordinate a strategy. EXECUTIONS are products and services and experiences we deliver to help us execute our strategy that will help us achieve our goals to accomplish our mission. TACTICS are actions taken to achieve our strategy. For example, the League of Legends Amateur Draft League (LoL ADL) is an EXECUTION (Product/Service) that helps us achieve our strategic objective of “create and run organized play events for competitive gamers.” How we set up the Mumble channels and how we name them are TACTICS. As a vVv community member or applicant your EXECUTIONS should include: Recruiting good community members Engaging with applicants Supporting vVv on social media (Facebook) (Twitter) Being active in our forums, shoutbox & Mumble/XBL/ PS4 I hope this post helps everyone know who is accountable for what, and what we are focused on. I would love and appreciate any feedback, thoughts and/or suggestions. It's YOUR community, we're here to help YOU make it awesome.

Hey everyone, I wanted to update you on something we have discovered that has effected everyone's ADL experience: our site-wide ban on Reddit. So, why was vVv Gaming.com banned? We have been banned for several reasons. I want you to understand why, so that we all become better citizens of the internet. Reasons: members/staff actively engaged in vote brigading. It's when a group of people get together to up vote the same thing, be it a single person, or a group of people representing something. It's just not fair, and hurts what Reddit is all about at it's core. If our events are good or appealing, people will organically upvote the events. Period. Former member, Sundown, who is now IP banned from our site, did two unforgivable things: He basically crossed too many lines in his rage against certain Reddit moderators He used my position at Riot Games to gain clout and attempt to bully Reddit moderators. This was personal. No one should ever do anything like this, ever. Period. What are we going to do about it? We are not going to post Reddit links in the Shoutbox or forums to upvote. Go to Reddit and find the links as anyone would, by your normal Reddit use. We have removed Cam from vVv, and made sure all staff are trained on this C Wide has been working to rebuild our relationship with the moderators. As you already know, if you get caught doing this, expect to be banned use /r/summonerschool and /r/leagueofleglends normally, get involved and be a good Reddit member Finally, our apology to Reddit: I want to apologize to the Reddit moderators and the community for this behavior. It's clear in my absence that a lot of things were not going well, but this topped the cake. Regardless, I'm the owner, and I take full responsibility for this. vVv Gaming is committed to be good citizens of the internet, particularly Reddit. You have my sincere apology and a sincere pledge to make things right.

With Jerry returning to vVv to run things again, my time as President of vVv has come to a close. I wanted to take some time to reflect on how things went. Primarily I feel like I failed vVv in a lot of ways. The ADL stagnated due to my mismanagement and failure to keep people pushing toward excellence. The CoD division was on life support for way too long. As a whole I didn't effectively execute on my vision for making vVv Gaming an awesome place for competitive gamers. Primarily there were certain personal things holding me back from executing on my vision. The main two were my self-awareness with how I handled my working relationships and my inability to focus. I looked for all kinds of ways to increase my productivity, reading up on things like prioritizing, focusing on your mission, having a clear idea of what it is that you want to accomplish, but none of that addressed the core problem: I was just getting distracted by everything and unable to focus when it came time to do the big, important work. I wasn't lacking a strategy, I was lacking discipline. With my working relationships, I was acting like a complete ass to people without even realizing it. I didn't take the time to re-read what I was writing, or think about how I was coming across to people, and the ways I tried to approach people to "help" them made me come across as a bureaucratic authority who's only help was to tell people "no" or "do things my way". Obviously these two flaws are going to prevent anyone from being a good, let alone great leader. Thankfully Jerry was able to help me regain my focus and also help me raise my self awareness within just two weeks of returning. In the past two weeks I've gotten more accomplished, felt better about myself and my future, and improved the way I handle my relationships more than any time in the past 9 years. I've even started looking at some difficult problems I've been facing personally and just by asking myself "What would Jerry tell me?" I can usually figure out the best way to proceed and handle things. So now I just need to return to my vision and remember why it's so compelling for me. As a kid I had to go through some real difficulty trying to figure out how to be gay and in love with someone who would never return that feeling. It's deeply important to me that no one should have to go through life facing difficult challenges without feeling like there is someone there who can help them. I think that within the larger gaming community there are endless opportunities to fulfill that mission. Don't like the way you look? Cosplay as your favorite game character. Bullied at school? Go online and find people who love you just because you share a passion for the same game as they do. Giving up on your dreams? Volunteer your time doing amazing things for the larger gaming community and develop marketable skills to work in or outside of the gaming industry. There is so much good that we can do together, and I am passionate about making the world a better place than the one I had to grow up in. I sometimes wonder how many people there were in the world when I was growing up who gave up on their dreams to live a normal life. How many hours spent watching TV that could have been spent changing peoples' minds about homosexuality? How many hours spent in closeted sex clubs or on seedy hookups that could have been spent coming out and leading the LBGT awareness movement? How many desperate, needy relationships that distracted people from opening places where LGBT youth could come for help? Not that no one should watch TV, or people should never hookup, or that people shouldn't find love, but what was the real cost to the world when this becomes the focus of a life instead of a way to enhance it? How many suicides could have been prevented? How much bullying could have been stopped? And it's not just LGBT who have difficult challenges. Everyone has a closet. How many people feel like they have no one to turn to for help when the burden of hiding inside of it becomes overwhelming? How much of a better world could we create for all of humanity if we just took the time to focus on each other? I aspire to be as good as Jerry at finding, identifying, and communicating what people need in order to go from struggling to successful. And I look forward to creating an awesome community for all competitive gamers here over the next few months, and wherever life takes me I will continue on this mission for the rest of my life. If you feel the same way then come join me and let's make this awesome together.

I’m taking things personally. It’s been a historic couple of weeks. Friday was a historic day. It started for me with the President’s eulogy for the Rev. Clementa Pinkney and ended with the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of gay marriage. Yesterday, got me thinking. Actually, it got me feeling. It’s a feeling I haven’t had in a long time. The last time I had this feeling was in 1989. I was in Orlando, Florida getting ready to graduate from Naval Nuclear Propulsion School. I was watching the Berlin wall fall. It marked, for me, the end of the Cold War. I felt optimistic. Having spent many summers in Germany visiting my relatives on my mother’s side, it was also strangely personal. It was that unique feeling of history happening to me versus history happening around me. History doesn’t always feel personal. The tragedy of September 11th didn’t feel personal. I remember being angry and disappointed, but I didn’t feel it personally. Friday’s events, however, felt very personal. As I mentioned earlier, it started with the president’s eulogy. Although I’m an atheist, I was moved by the president’s comments about grace. He spoke about the violent act and how it sits in a long history of bombs and arson and shots fired at churches. He spoke about how the killer imagined he would incite fear and recrimination; violence and suspicion. What the killer didn’t understand was the grace surrounding that Bible study group. According to the Christian tradition, grace is not earned. Grace is not merited. It’s not something we deserve. From my understanding, grace is the free and benevolent favor of God as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. The president specifically mentioned that this terrible tragedy allowed us to see where we’ve been blind. He mentioned that despite our rancor and complacency, our shortsightedness and fear of each other, we still received grace. Grace in the form of awareness that the Confederate flag is much more than just ancestral pride, but is actually a reminder of systemic oppression and racial subjugation. It’s clear that this flag will finally fall. Much like the Berlin wall fell. I felt hopeful. Amazingly, the hope train would continue to chug along on this particular Friday. The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold gay marriage across the land was a very special kind of hopeful vindication. It was an exoneration. People were set free, free to lay claim to a historic and ancient institution: marriage. Yeah, this is personal. From “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” to the Christian Right’s efforts to paint gays and lesbians as pedophiles, not fit to parent and certainly not deserving of the right to marry to the bullying, insults and abuses aimed at gays and lesbians, it’s been a long road. That road has had many highs and lows. For me, the highs have always been about the people. While in the Navy, I spent a decade in Virginia. During that time, while serving in the U.S. Navy, I was surrounded by an amazingly open, welcoming and loving gay community. It was there that I learned to become a gay man: to wear that identity with pride, to learn the history that I was never taught in school and then to discover an amazing culture and legacy. Thankfully, the lows for me were few and far between. They were there. It was always in small moments. For those of you who know me well, it’s safe to say that I’m direct and confident. Having spent a decade being a consultant, I often need to establish credibility with executives who I really don’t know in a matter of one or two minutes. In my most recent job, that approach created a very unique situation. I’d been on the job for only a few months when I had discovered a coworker had come up with a very interesting theory. The coworker described my behavior as a “byproduct of me being gay in the military.” She had observed similar confidence in her uncle who was gay. Therefore, she concluded that all gay men who served in the military had to be overly confident and direct to make up for their insecurities about being gay. And there it was, one of those frustrating, little moments, where another person’s ignorance, like nails on a chalkboard to my rational mind, reminded me of the perceptions that we still need to overcome. I remember coming home that night and telling the story to Jordan, who at the time was just my “domestic partner." We were not allowed to marry back in 2012. We both laughed about it. Yet, it happened. One of those small moments of awareness. Awareness that ignorance and prejudice still existed. In 2013, the great state of California allowed Jordan and I to become married. Of course, I knew that our marriage wouldn’t be recognized everywhere. Somehow, it wasn’t important. It really wasn’t important until yesterday. Yesterday, I realize the depth of the problem with hate, bigotry and ignorance. You see, I had accepted that my marriage was only valid in California. Almost the same way many whites “accept” the Confederate flag is a symbol of ancestral pride. I had become complacent. Hard to confess that, strangely. It’s almost that I had allowed a truth to disappear. [side note: Don't let anyone tell you that the truth can't disappear. If I believe in anything, rather than God, it is that I am part of something that goes all the way back to Antigone, and that whatever speaks the truth of our hearts can only make us stronger. Can only give us the power to counter the hate and bigotry and heal this addled world. Just remember: You are not alone.---R.I.P. Paul Monette] Of course, the good fight is far from over. There is so much more work to do. Hate, ignorance and misinformation still exist everywhere. Hate is still taught from one generation to another. Friday’s events are actually a call to action. We all need to take these things very seriously. Each of us has the power to make a difference. By being a little more vigilant, a little more outspoken, by being, dare I say, direct and confident by standing up to those who speak out of ignorance or hate, we can make a difference. As one flag falls, I’m optimistic that another is rising in its place, but this time a flag that celebrates diversity and inclusiveness. I for one am taking it all personally-too personally, in fact. You see, I don't really have the choice to ignore it, because it's happening on my watch.

    My vVv Gaming Plan

I'll keep this brief, my plan for vVv Gaming is as follows, the community needs to be built up again. Yes people are on Discord but we have a website for a reason, I want both being utilized. I want apps flowing in, everyone playing with them, helping them with any questions they may have about vVv Gaming including myself. I want vVv Gaming promoted heavily on social media. I will build a strong staff, will start out small as right now we're building vVv back up again, as we grow I'll asses the needs for a bigger staff then. vVv Gaming has not gone anywhere, always been here but fact is for the past few years this site has been dead. That stops with me, we're not a PC organization, we've always been a multiplatform organization and will remain that way on Xbox, PS4 and PC. I have vVv LordJerith helping me with the home page being cleaned up, as well as running maintenance on the forums. vVv LordJerith and I are focusing on the community right now, I want mature people in this organization, I will not babysit and I will not put up with any BS posts wise or in the SB. You've got a three strike rule, after three strikes you're gone from vVv Gaming, idc if you've been in vVv Gaming ten days or ten years, this goes for apps as well you're not above anyone. I am cleaning the site up daily, once I get a staff assembled that will be much easier, as of right now I am the only one doing it. Competitive gaming, I'd like to look into that in the future, speaking on the Xbox side of things, that will come with time, vVv DeathsGrasp has the PC side of things ie Rocket League as that game is huge on PC. Mine and vVv LordJerith's main focus at this moment and for the foreseeable future is the community. All of us are grown, have jobs and can't devote 24 hours a day to gaming. We all have stressful lives and I want vVv Gaming to be a place where we all can come and have an escape, people to interact with and play with. I look forward to the future, I look forward to watching vVv grow more and more each day and getting back to the glory days of our pure domination in all aspects.

    State of vVv Gaming

Hello vVv Gaming! I am Scott aka vVv Exodus, I have been in vVv Gaming since 2007. I am one of the original members of this amazing organization. I am 37 years old and work in the mortgage industry. I wanted to update the community on the state of vVv Gaming, I spoke at length today with vVv LordJerith. Him and I agreed on the direction we want to take vVv Gaming in, all of you will see a lot of changes coming soon. I am going to get this organization back to the way it was when I was first brought into it, a lot of activity on the forums, Discord etc. I will be cleaning up the website, I will also be looking at all current vVv Gaming members to see if they're active or not. A strong community is key, that's the foundation that's always made this place special. Applications are open, same 90 day process is still in place as it's always been. I want people in vVv Gaming that are active and want to be here and contribute, it's a privilege to wear the vVv's, I don't want just anyone wearing them. I will post more later, mainly wanted to introduce myself and give everyone an update. vVv DeathsGrasp is still the President of vVv Gaming, I back him in all matters and that's not up for debate. With him and I righting the ship, we will have vVv Gaming back to the glory days very, very soon. Feel free to contact me anytime, PM me on here, Discord or message me on XBL my GT is vVv Exodus. Thank you, vVv Exodus

    Rebuilding the LoL Division

We hear you. Loudly and clearly.empty mumblepeople resignedlack of leadership in the divisionlack of accountability for membersI hear you. We fucked up. We're going to try and fix it. We can't change the past, but we can make the future better. So, I want to share the vision that I have for the League of Legends division. I believe, and I am asking you to tell me if I am wrong, that what you want is:a place that is fun and feels like your homea place where everyone knows you and accepts youfun events that allow you play with othersthe vVv tag to mean something. You want members who:are active and socialin gameon mumbleon the forumsinvested in the success of applicantsmake others feel welcomerecruit others to play with and help the division growsupport vVv on social mediaenjoy competition, but are not trying to go proAssuming the above is true, then I am making the following changes to the division:Bringing back vVv C Wide to run the vVv LoL DivisionADLs will be overseen by its own product manager, vVv NaturaLvVv Medusa vVv Unverclopt and vVv SugarBear will be handling applicants and running the LoL ADL I invite those of you who strayed away to give us a chance to make it better. Please reach out to vVv C Wide or myself, personally, if you have any questions or concerns. It's going to take some time to rebuild our credibility with some of you, but everyone mentioned above and myself are willing to put in that work. The first opportunity for people to come together will be the ADL this Sunday, July 26th. I also will hold an AMA right after the event. So, I'll be on Mumble, personally, and I invite current members, applicants, previous members and those thinking about applying to come to the AMA and ask questions. We have work to do, and it will take time. We're committed to fixing this. We can't change the past, but we're committed to making a very fun future for vVv Gaming's LoL division.

    Thank you!

I want say thank you. I want to take a brief moment to celebrate the success and contributions of 3 vVv members who took the toughest job. Thank you to: Jordan "Doomhammer" Kahn Robert "RobZ" Thompson Greg "Sugarbear" Milliken In the 3 years I have gone, all 3 have lead this great organization. Without them, there would not be a vVv Gaming today. Each one added their own particular style and focus to vVv Gaming. Jordan has gone on to be a Live Producer at RIot Games, Robert Thompson has gone on to be a Recruiter at Riot Games, but is thankfully still heavily involved with vVv Gaming. Greg is staying right here and going to be our new "Application Experience Manager." For those of you who have never lead, it is hard. You can never truly ever feel you got it right. When I think of leading, a quote by Theodore Roosevelt, a quote that used to sit on my desk when I was in the US Navy, often comes to mind. This is my way of saying thank you: These 3 men have all stepped into the arena. For that, I will always be grateful. With my upcoming return to vVv, you've all seen some changes start to happen. You will see more to follow.

vVv Gaming is proud to announce vVv Exodus as the new president of the organization! Working with Lordjerith and Deathsgrasp, who will be stepping down from his leadership role to focus on personal life, Exodus has outlined a plan for vVv that focuses on building the community around the modern gaming experience. "All of us are grown, have jobs and can't devote 24 hours a day to gaming. We all have stressful lives and I want vVv Gaming to be a place where we all can come and have an escape, and have people to interact with and play with." As he starts by cleaning up and revitalizing the website and forums, expect to see more activity here and on the vVv Discord server as the organization gains new momentum. A deep thank you to vVv Deathsgrasp for his previous leadership, and welcome to vVv Exodus!

    Five Pillars of vVv Gaming

Value: Having members that are all adding value is a critical part of having a rich and vibrant community. There are many ways to add value: creating content for our partnered YouTube channel, having a strong social media presence with appropriate vVv Branding on your profile, being social on our forums and helpful to aspiring players and applicants to even just donating. To see the full list of ways to add value click here. If you are unsure of how you can add value, reach out to the community for help. Excellence: There are two ways to demonstrate excellence in vVv Gaming. The first way representing our brand and community professionally at major lan events. The second way is by being a passionate community member that excels at adding value to vVv Gaming. Diversity: vVv Gaming is a diverse community. This is our strength! vVv Gaming has people that come from various backgrounds and we openly embrace differences in race, national origin, age, disability, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion, sexual orientation, genetic information, political beliefs and gender. In order to get the most passionate and talented individuals, we want people to feel that they are part of a welcoming and accepting community. We also welcome people who are passionate about a variety of games, the key feature of vVv is our diverse community! No matter what games you play, we want you to feel welcome as a member of vVv Gaming. Instead of forming rivalries among the different games we play, we should be excited that we have such a varying group of people who can all come together as part of something great. That's what makes vVv Gaming such a fantastic place to be! Chain of Command: If you have a problem with someone, please talk to them directly and IN PRIVATE. Always start with the person that you are having the problem with. DO NOT bring it to the Shoutbox or post about your problem. If you can't resolve it, then bring it to staff. Sponsors: Just as you have to add value to vVv, so does vVv Gaming have to add value to its sponsors. In order for vVv Gaming to support the best gamers and provide our community with events, opportunities and contests, you need to show them that you care. Represent their products, promote them and spread the word by supporting their social media initiatives.

    Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you, vVv Gaming wouldn't be what it is or where it is if it wasn't for all of you. I may run vVv Gaming but all of you make it what it is, I am grateful for all of you, I want you all to know that. I want to thank vVv LordJerith for making me President of vVv Gaming, for being a close friend and always believing in me. I want to thank vVv DoomHammer for all he has done, working tirelessly on the new site, making sure it flows smoothly as well as the new logo getting finalized. Thank you Jerry and Jordan for the new website, it looks amazing and we all appreciate it. Thank you vVv Buzz and vVv Pherzghul for the tireless work you both did on the new logo, thank you vVv Buzz for all the GFX work you're doing now, updating the homepage with the new logo in certain areas as well as the icons for specific groups on the site. I'd like to thank all of my staff for everything they do, they're a great group of people that will do anything for vVv Gaming and it doesn't go unnoticed. I look forward to the future, the progress we have made since I took the helm is crazy to me, we're only going to move up! Thank you, vVv Exodus

    New vVv Logo Design

I want to start by saying that we will change the logo. I think every logo change has resistance, and I appreciate that we won't make everyone happy. I am happy to those of you leaving constructive feedback, and I like the way it's moving. We'll get the original design files from the company since we have reached our maximum number of revisions, and ask @vVv Pherzghul if he'll make the final edits (maybe with and without the shield). Again, to those of you who said you like the old one, I hear you. Unfortunately, we have decided to change the logo, and your input to make it better is always welcome, but there is no need to ask for the old one anymore. Rock on! More good stuff to follow,

What do all of you want?

Hey All, I talked it over with Jerry and Exodus, and based on your feedback we came up with a proposal. This idea is based on five pillars of activity where vVv will focus. The pillars include: Social Events One of the underlying messages I keep hearing is that people want to play together. We are here because we're gamers, and playing games together is one of the core elements of vVv. Activities this should include are community game nights in specific titles, streamer viewing parties, and tournament viewing events. Professional Networking and Support Once upon a time vVv got people jobs in the games industry. Well that time is still now, but we can expand the opportunities beyond the games industry. We can support the people who want to hone games industry skills (community management, event coordination, etc.) and also support members who want to become streamers, influencers, and content creators. Specifically for Streamers, this is a symbiotic relationship. Streamers represent vVv, vVv supports streamers (viewers, retweets, etc), and that system could build some real steam once it gets momentum. Central business activity Several people mentioned bringing back tournaments and vVv-supported competition. These can become the nexus around with the organization rotates, giving our competitive members a chance to compete, our staff something to build, our community something to cheer for, and our streamers something to build on. "But what game should we compete in?" I hear you ask. All of them! No one just plays one game anymore, we rotate through them as they get stale. vVv's tournament should be more like the PAX Omegathon, where your final result is dependent on your performance in several different games (just an idea, is this too crazy?). Making new Friends This is another big part of why we're here. We want to be a part of a community of friends and fellow gamers. That should infuse everything we do, and all of our activities should be built to support it. Classy Environment One of the earliest things I heard about vVv Gaming was that it should be a place where any member is someone I'd want to play games with. We've always kept out, or removed, people who didn't fit the culture, and we should continue to do the same now. Part of this is holding each other accountable, and part of it is moderation, but we should maintain that culture of "I could play games with everyone here." To start, we don't need game divisions to do this. There aren't enough people or big enough titles. Instead this focuses on the core experience of building a community of great people, which can be further refined as it starts to grow again. So that's our proposal for how to build on the new direction of vVv. Thoughts? What is it missing? Who wants to volunteer to be responsible for each pillar? Conversation moved to: https://www.vvv-gaming.com/forum/topic/73291-proposed-vvv-activities/

vVv Gaming is proud to announce vVv Vishous King as our first ever streamer manager. I talked at length with him about this and he’s very excited about it. vVv Vishous King is a seasoned streamer himself and is a perfect fit for this role. His job will be managing all of our streamers, promoting them and giving them tips on how to grow as streamers, more importantly it’s to get vVv Gaming’s name out in the streaming world. This in turn will bring traffic to the site and hopefully new applications. I’m excited to have him on board, I look forward to seeing how it all pans out. Thank you Vish, best of luck! Thank You, vVv Exodus

    New vVv Logo Design

Indeed it is! Taking the fantastic work from Buzz and Pherzghul and revising it with your feedback we now have a new official vVv Logo. The next step is to add the logo type (the "vVv Gaming" text) and update our style guide, and once that's finished you can expect to see the new logo rolling out officially as we get the website updated. The alternative solid color version will be used on mediums or locations where a gradient is impractical or impossible. Thank you to everyone for your input and feedback during this process of change. It's sometimes difficult, but we have ended with an awesome result because of it.

    New vVv Logo Design

Is it just me, or does F look like a bird of prey swooping down to strike? Let's use that (version F) as the animal Buzz is looking for and combine it with version D. I think visually there's still too much going on with Buzz's shield right now, so something cleaner will look better.

Hello everyone, For those of you who do not know me. I was a vVv member from 2012 to 2015, I was a member of the Call of Duty Division, was the Call of Duty Assistant Manager for a point in time, and then left vVv Gaming when the esports efforts were not pushed as much as I would have liked; then I became the Esports Manager for Clan Lucky Strike before it was sold to Operation Supply Drop. After the sell to OSD, I had left CLS to return back to vVv Gaming to become the Business Development Coordinator, before effectively leaving vVv Gaming. I just recently came back to the vVv Forums after seeing a post about vVv looking to make a return in the esports community. After seeing so many familiar faces in the shoutbox and some of them repping the V's once more, I wanted to make a post to see where all the former vVv Members are at today. So with that being said..... Former vVv Members, even the ones who just recently got their V's back.... Where are you at today? Do you still game? What do you do for work? What platform do you mainly play on now? Did your time in vVv affect where you are at today? If so, then how? I will start.... Where am I at today? Well I am 24 about to turn 25 in March. Since my time in vVv, I have moved out of my parents house and into an apartment with my SO and 2 of our friends, where I have lived for the past 2 years. I have grown a lot since my time in vVv, and hopefully after talking with some old faces, that they can agree to that. I honestly am unsure what else to put here so this will be the last sentence haha. Do I still Game? Is the sky still blue? If you look at the sun will it make you blind? What type of question is this? Of course I still game. I game as much as I can nowadays which is not as much as I would like to, but that is what having a job and a life gets you. What platform do I mainly play on now? I mainly play on the PS4, but I do have a perfectly capable gaming PC to play on, but I do not have many people to game with on PC that much. Also I am in the market to buy a NZXT build PC but am currently debating on rather I want to drop 2K now... I also have a Switch to play Smash Brothers on.... Fight me. What do I do for work? After many years, I was able to turn my passion of gaming and esports into a career, and I am proud to say that I am the Operations Manager for OpTic Gaming now. Did your time in vVv affect where you are at today? If so, then how? Yes and 1000x again YES!! vVv was my starting point in esports. vVv gave me a platform to learn more about the esports industry, and with the help of Jerry, Doom, and Rob, I was able to take what I learned from vVv to propel me forward into other organizations which inevitably helped me land where I am at today, and honestly if it was not for vVv Gaming, I would not be where I am at today and for that I am forever thankful. So thats me!! So who will be next to go? I still #BelievVve there are many old faces lurking the forums...

Where am I today?: I'm 25, 26 in March. Happily engaged to my girlfriend of almost 3 years. Saving up to hopefully buy our first house by the end of the year. Do I still game?: not nearly as much as I'd like to, I get a few hours in every few days but with work and being an actual adult now I cant sink in the hours I used to What platform do I mainly play on now?: ps4 or PC mainly. My xbox collects dust. What do I do for work?: I'm a fraud analyst for a large UK bank. Did your time in vVv affect where you are at today? If so, then how? absolutely. I had many roles in the 2 stints I had in vVv, I was the assistant EU manager on my first stay where I learnt a lot of skills when it comes to dealing with people and leadership. When I came back to vVv a few years later I quickly became the assistant and then the CoD division manager. I took over with the division in a pretty poor state and I'd like to think i turned it i to the most successful period the division had. The skills i learnt then by working with the division and Jerry have been applied in my professional life and got me into the position I'm in now which I'm extremely grateful for.

Vulcun Daily LCS: An Introduction Exciting news yesterday as vVv Gaming announced a partnership with Vulcun.com! Vulcun offers daily fantasy tournaments for LoL, DOTA2, CS:GO, Hearthstone, and CoD. Use this link: https://vulcun.com/a/vVvgaming when signing up for 100% deposit bonus! If you saw this information yesterday and were wondering, what the hell is this? Do not fear, I'm here to help you gain some basic understadning of how daily fantasy tournaments work. Daily fantasy sports has risen to ascendancy in the last few years. Daily and weekly games on sites like Draft Kings and Fan Duel offer a cash prize in various game forms. Head to Head games against another person, 50/50 games where players in the top 50% win money, and Guaranteed Prize Pool tournaments where the big payouts are. Vulcun is now offering this same format for LoL, CsGo, and DOTA 2, Hearthstone, and CoD. I am going to be specifically focusing on League of Legends, but the general information I provide here goes for all games. The scoring for other games will obviously be different but the general principles of daily fantasy are the same. Before you begin my first piece of advice would be to watch the following video after you sign up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T97LhrP9hU Also please read the contest rules provided by Vulcun here: https://vulcun.com/main/contestrules you can search by each individual game for important information like how to draft, what roster roles you need, and the most important: how you score points. Vulcun users can construct a team of eight players using a salary cap format of $10000. Each player you choose from has a set price. The roster construction includes one player in each role, plus three flex roles where you can use anyone. It is important to note that these prices influence the game greatly. It is hard to fit in all the top players making bargains a huge deal. You expect Bjergsen to play well each week and as such he will always be priced highly. But who are the value plays that have an easier match up you can use to fill out your roster? You need to consider the pricing when looking at who to select on any given day. Alright here is my general advice for Daily Fantasy eSports: If you're wondering how much you need to deposit to start with, the general rule is to start with $100 if you can afford it. I'm not telling you that you have to deposit $100 but that is a good starting point when looking to get into daily. However, deposit whatever you're comfortable with to start. Let's talk about bankroll management, or how to manage your money once you've made a deposit. Once you've made a deposit, no matter how much it is, it is strongly advised to only play 10% of your bankroll on a given day. So for example, if you deposit $50, your first day you would only play $5. This keeps you from burning through your bankroll too fast and keeps you in the game. Now, if you play that 10% and lose it, you would go from $50 to $45 making your 10% for the next day only $4.50. You can use this 10% rule whether your bankroll increases or decreases. If you don't need to worry about how you spend your money then this 10% rule doesn't apply. PLAY 50/50 TOURNAMENTS! We all have dreams of winning huge sums of money playing daily fantasy, but let's be real it's not that likely. Sure it could happen, but the best way to steadily increase your bank roll is to play 50/50 tournaments. In this format you only need to place in the top 50% of all competitors. Contrast that to a tournament where the top prize is huge, but steadily decreases with less spots to even finish in the money. My general rule I use for myself in daily is that if I am not cashing in my 50/50's I do not allow myself to play in tournaments. 50/50's are the best way to increase your bankroll. This one goes hand in hand with #3. If you can, play in 50/50's with large player pools. On Vulcun you can play in 50/50's with 10 people or 100 people, but give yourself the better odds to finish in the top 50% by playing with more people. The variance will be less and although it's still the top 50%, it's easier to take top 50 out of 100 than top 5 out of 10. Don't get discouraged if you aren't cashing in tournaments. You really aren't supposed to win your tournaments on a consistent basis. The player pool is much larger making the competition stiffer. That's why I recommend playing 50/50's to start. Last but not least - HAVE FUN. It's what it's all about. Oh, and don't get addicted. If you're having a rough go of things getting started, there's no shame in taking a break for a day. I hope this general information helped. Remember to check out the links above for Vulcun's contest rules and information. Good luck!

    Arrow's Application

I don't know why Arrow hasn't already been accepted into vVv. He is one of the most active applicants on the mumble server, on the forums, in his app and also in game. He provides a solid amount of leadership when needed in game and is a hell of an ADC to peel for. Most of our coordinated team strategies usually just devolve down to everyone peeling for Arrow and those seem to be the games we win most often. He found vVv by coming to the Adopt a noob and then formed a friendship (dickhead) with me his first coach. We duo, play norms, I will almost always draft him in the ADL and he is an extremely versatile player who can basically do everything but jungle well. I would like to see him progress in his communication with his laning partner in bot, as I feel he can be a bit quite when he needs to speak up, though we don't seem to have that issue when I support for him. Overall, I would posit that Arrow adds more value than about 1/3-1/2 of the current league community in terms of these overall aspects, and he is only striving to be a better member of the community. Seriously, who else's app looks like this? This shit should be pinned as the goddamn model for how to interact with the community and members, and realistically shouldn't be held off accepting in my opinion.

    Dragon vVv CoD App.

In the sake of being transparent, I'm going to address some things here on your application that I feel like you should work on if you want to be successful here in vVv and moving forward. You've shown great initiative, and have given the impression that you want to do great things and that you want to help grow the CoD division, but if that is going to happen you're going to need to address some things. I've heard two different stories regarding your attending of Columbus in 2013. You were an applicant at the time and after the event you told the CoD division members that you attended as a spectator and had some interaction with another applicant, but no members. Within the last two weeks you told myself and Rowdy that you attended Columbus as a coach, gave us your team name and what your team "placed" in the event. After looking over the event results, your team didn't exist on the bracket. Do you have some way of clearing this up? There was also an incident in which you told me and Rowdy that you were given the go ahead on a particular idea that you actually hadn't been given any approval on. I'm just curious if this was simply a miscommunication on your part, or if you were just trying to get other people on board with your idea prior to actually talking to management? After your application was closed, there was a major incident that took place on Twitch in which you were watching Rowdy's stream. You were pretending to be someone else, even going as far as putting your deceased friend's picture on your twitch and telling us it was a picture of you. There are far more details regarding this specific incident, clarifying that it was in fact you in the Twitch channel, yet you continued lying. What I want to know is why you felt the need to continue pretending to be someone else? What did you expect to gain from lying to us, and do you think that is something that us as vVv members are looking for in someone trying to enter into the community? Also when your application was closed you blocked many of our members and applicants on Xbox Live. Is there a reason for this? You also made a comment in an 8s lobby stating that the current batch of applicants "wouldn't last". What is your reasoning behind making such a comment? I made 3 different attempts to reach out to you on Skype to discuss many of these things in private, one-on-one, but you have not bothered responding. I was informed that we should be transparent and address issues with applicants directly on their applications, so here I am. With all this said, I am a very open person and I am always willing to move past issues that arise, if they are acknowledged and dealt with. What I am not a big fan of is being lied to, and I feel like I have been lied to on numerous occasions by you directly. So can you clear some of these issues up for me?

    Nikki (vVv Nyx) Application

Name: Nikki Stark (formerly vVv Nyx) Age: 34 Location: Daphne, Alabama Steam profile link: N/A Battle.Net Tag: N/A What is the game you are currently most active in and why? (only name one game) For now, I mostly play Diablo 3. I'm really enjoying the new season, testing out new character builds, and generally love it for some after-work relaxation. What are some other games that you currently play? I also dabble in GW2, Fortnite, and a few games on Switch including Smash Bros. How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom? I was a member of the CoD division, as well as a writer for vVv, a few years ago. Who do you currently know in vVv Gaming? How did you get to know them? vVv Exodus is probably the only active member that I regularly interacted with that I see who's still here. Why are you interested in joining vVv Gaming? I miss the comradery, the chance to contribute to the growth of vVv, and the overall feel of it being a family. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? I'm a married mother of 4. I work full time, and I'm currently studying for my real estate prelicensing exams (state and national). So generally being an adult/wife/mom/student/employee can oftentimes take up a lot of my time, but gaming is still a fixture in my life as it's a great way to feel balanced in my life. How do you plan to add value to vVv Gaming? I see potential in what vVv Gaming could be again and I would like to use what I've learned from old vVv, both successes and mistakes, to build upon that. I've personally excelled in marketing and sales over the past few years, and I feel that my tenacity can be beneficial to the organization. Do you attend LAN Events? I have in the past, with the biggest event being MLG Columbus a few years back when I got the chance to meet and hang out with a bunch of members. We had a fantastic time and I now have the capability and willingness to attend more events.

    A little bit about me

Hello everyone, you guys either remember me from 07-08 on here or if you don’t I can’t wait to play and meet everyone. Aside from that I use to be a old Gears Of War Vet, I always played against and with every vVv member back in Gears 1 era. I recently stumbled across the website these past couple weeks and I was like wow I can’t believe the site is still up an running. So I found out my bud Exodus running the site and now I’m here with everyone. Y’all don’t understand how much Nostalgia this brings to me, I needed to find a home in gaming and I’m happy and proud to say this is my home with everyone here, I can’t wait to make vVv great again in esports, I can’t wait for the future of vVv, I’m excited to see the site grow full of new and old members again. Exodus I truly thank you for bringing me back here. Cant wait to help others, be there for others and lastly support others. Mad love to all, your friend ExiLe!

well pretty much B Easy and Rowdy said everything i wanted to say. Just like them in the beginning you were a really chill guy in my eyes with big hopes for the cod division . But as we moved along things started to be brought up about you. I was iffy till i saw it for myself and i don't know personally if i trust you. I really don't know myself on what to believe when you say something I had to listen to multiple applicants say what you said during the 8's lobby (just refer to rowdy's post) When Bizkit and i had the meeting with you we wanted to see you push for your goals, but when you brought up the roasting thing for the community, you twisted the words me and Bizkit told you, seeming like we gave you the go ahead to do so, when in reality we didn't. I don't know if this was a miscommunication as well or what, but we never said yes. when your application was closed, instead of doing the right thing and keeping your cool, you blow up in the skype chat (refer to Rowdy again) then left on your own Then on Rowdy s stream I don't know what you were thinking if you thought it was funny to troll around in his stream pretending to be someone else when it was clearly easy to tell it was you I tried to think the best of you, but if no one can trust you, how do you plan to gain that back? If people are making attempts to reach out to you why don't you respond back? I personally want to hear your responses before I add you back to the skype call .
