My name is Sebastian, or better known as Phlosio. I love gaming and I've been doing it for as long as I can remember on my old n64. I love every kind of game except fighters. I get so angry I love halo, Gears of war, Call of duty, Minecraft, Castlevania and almost everything else! I also stream at http://www.twitch.tv/Phlosio come check me out!
Anyway, I first heard of halo when I was probably 8 when my uncle and his highschool friends brought over an old xbox and we 4 playered blood gulch. I always hated it because I got stuck with the duke and my hands could never fit around the controller haha, But at the same time I always loved it. I didn't really know how to play so I always ended up chasing them around with a plasma pistol only to get punished by a rocket or getting blown across the map by a scorpion. I Really never got into serious FPS games until I got a copy of XIII for PS2, before then I was always either playing Ocarina of Time or Mario Kart.
I spent an insane ammount of time memorizing where snipers spawned on XIII just so I could snipe insane bots. I had an Xbox classic for a long time but it was so long ago I couldnt remember the name of the game I was playing when I was younger with my uncle so the only games I had on xbox were jet grind radio, grand tsurismo and the Simpsons hit and run.
It wasnt until a few years later when I was maybe 11 or 12 when I met my good friend Travis Ryon who also had an xbox brought it over to the daycare I stayed at with my 1 year old brother over the Summer. When he popped in a call of Halo:CE I instantly recognized it and it felt almost natural. We spent endless hours playing campaign. at this point I had no idea there was a Halo 2 until he brought it after we beat the campaign. We would just instinctly jump into legendary and get trashed the entire time bringing out endless ammounts of rage and swearing.
Immediately after playing Halo 2 I begged my mom to get me a copy of it off of eBay. I never was able to play halo 2 online so I was stuck playing campaign for endless hours of the day. All I can remember of me playing was just constantly loading Outskirts, The Arbiter, and Delta Halo because they all had snipers almost immediately at the beginning of the game and I would just stay there and spam the restart level button and just practice sniping everything.
I always wanted too see what Halo 2 multiplayer looked like so I check it on youtube. Youtube was sorta to me new back then and if I wasnt playing RuneScape for 20 hours out of the day I was playing Halo. it wasnt until I saw that Halo 3 was released and the first montage I saw was Phurion and Fluxy I tried improving my sniping even harder. after watching countless halo 3 montages I finally ran into a video that completely changed everything I knew about Halo. MLG Vegas 2008 nationals with Str8 rippin' vs Instinct. It completely blew my mind. I've never seen tournaments for Video games. The only tournaments for games I've ever heard of or been too were for Hero Clix or Magic the Gathering. Seeing the audience go insane after someone beat someone in a fight was just music to my ears. I knew immediately I had to do this. The following Christmas I begged for an xbox 360 and a copy of Halo 3 and by a godsend I actually got it. A fresh shiny new 120gig elite. I didnt get a router for about a week which gave me time to adjust to the new graphics. Once I got my router I became a rumble pit and lone wolve warrior. I reached about level 34 by myself the first couple months of playing and couldnt get any farther. because I'd always place 3rd place. It wasnt until I started my first year of highschool I met a new friend Matthew Simmons who supposedly insanely good at the game. We talked and he talked big about himself I added him on live and his gamertag was Hotagi.
The first game we played I met my new and some of my best friends today, Nathan, Jon, and Ethan. They were all 45 bridgs while I slumpped in at a nooby 34.
Our first game was High ground 1 Flag. I thought to myself oh this should be easy, let me just show off for these guys. I was wrong. I got raped. and we were about to lose as Nathan was running our flag as Matt just runs up out of no where and picks up an Overkill Extermination to secure our cap. at the very moment I thought to myself... What have I been doing this whole time. 6 or 7 months fly by, we get our first 50s and scream. theres nothing that feels better than your first 50 in any playlist. then MLG orlando 2009 swings around in Janurary. We didnt have a team so we just went to watch. the hype was insane. I remember us laughing because this player named LeGeNd always played with his shoes off on mainstage. Later it turns out hes actually my neighbor. Who pretty much flat out ignores me some of the time. He added me to his Friendlist but thats about all I get. We talk every now and then but we never played, never got into any lobbys, never lanned, never got to know each other. It always felt like he was pro and he didnt have time to talk to a no name. haha. even now that he quit hes so too himself. Maybe some people are like that I guess.
But here we are now, 2012, 4 games later, so many tournaments later, so much expierence and so many friends come and gone. And here I am, still playing, still learning, and still getting better. Hope you enjoyed the read! If you need anything just shoot me a message!
