@  vVv Sacred : (27 April 2015 - 01:30 PM) I'll only grab my phone half the time if it's related to work or checking quick updates on scores.
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:28 PM) Out to dinner...on phones...the only time I grab my phone at a restaurant is if it pertains to the conversation I'm having and requires a quick google search to continue the conversation.
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:27 PM) @vVv LordJerith It just keeps getting worse. people can't put phones down and focus. I'll try and show a short video or song to my wife or one of my friends. within 30 seconds they have their phones on.
@  vVv LordJerith : (27 April 2015 - 01:24 PM) @vVv B Easy that article is so powerful, worth reading twice. Begs the question, "how do you stop it" it clearly is not going away on its own
@  vVv Vall : (27 April 2015 - 01:23 PM) @vVv B Easy Skype
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:22 PM) @vVv LordJerith THANK you! great read. I've been trying to push my wife more to put down her phone and enjoy the kids. Facebook can wait, they can't.
@  vVv Sacred : (27 April 2015 - 01:19 PM) Same here haha, my baseball swing would come into effect mid swing.
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:16 PM) I always had a wicked fade on my drives because I wasn't finishing my swing properly, and my back swing wasn't straight. I have that tendency to swing like a baseball player. my irons just got good last year cause I got fitted for irons. I was using clubs an inch and a half too short for like 10 years.
@  vVv LordJerith : (27 April 2015 - 01:15 PM) @vVv B Easy https://medium.com/@...re-503c38c131fe
@  vVv Sacred : (27 April 2015 - 01:14 PM) @vVv B Easy My irons have been golden this year so far, my short game is usually always good aside from putting at times haha. So once my drive is fixed I'll be good to go.
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:11 PM) *correct
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:11 PM) I had a 77 my first time out this year with my usual first drive mulligan. I was just so inconsistent with drives and irons. my chip and putt game are on point, finally had someone tell me what to do to current my longer shots.
@  Atrax : (27 April 2015 - 01:09 PM) @vVv Sacred I would if I wasn't at school
@  vVv Sacred : (27 April 2015 - 01:08 PM) @vVv B Easy I went yesterday morning as well, I need to just work on my drive, I'll be golden and then sometimes I'll have a bad slice. Shot 37 and 38 yesterday. Par was 72.
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:08 PM) @vVv LordJerith Books? I need something new to tackle. I can't see the thread though. care to share?
@  vVv Sacred : (27 April 2015 - 01:07 PM) Anyone here want to play some Halo?
@  vVv B Easy : (27 April 2015 - 01:06 PM) @vVv Sacred I just went yesterday and got a lesson from a pro to correct my swing. I'm golden now.
@  vVv LordJerith : (27 April 2015 - 01:04 PM) I have some recommended reading (my last two posts) in the staff re-org thread
@  vVv Sacred : (27 April 2015 - 01:01 PM) @vVvVall yup, I try to go out and golf at least 2-3 days a week long as weather permits.
@  vVv Vall : (27 April 2015 - 12:56 PM) @vVv Sacred you golf o.o

About Me

My name is Jordan Novak and I'm from Kansas City, Missouri! I started playing video games from a very young age, probably around 4-5 years old. I started out playing arcade games like Joust, Mappy, Metal Slug, Galaga, Pacman, Burger Time, super awesome stuff like that. Once my Dad saw me express interest in gaming, he bought me my own GameBoy! I immediately became addicted to playing and collecting anything that was related to Pokemon. My favorite Pokemon related things were: Pokemon Snap, Hey You Pikachu!, Pokemon Stadium, and then Sapphire and Ruby.

My Dad continued to introduce me to new games featured across different platforms. Some of my favorite memories from when I was a child was sitting on a couch in the basement with my Mom and Dad, my Dad playing Silent Hill (or Resident Evil or Metal Gear Solid) with my mom reading him the strategy guide. There would also be nights where I would sit on his knee while he would stay up all night playing Diablo. I would just sit and watch but I loved every minute of it.

Once I got a little older, I started actually playing more "mature" games by myself instead of just watching them. I immediately became addicted to Diablo 2. Even to this day, I still play Diablo 2, so I could say I've been playing it for about 13 years. Diablo 2 was the first online game that I played and I really thank this game for putting me onto the path that got me to where I am today. I, of course, decided to get a portrait of Diablo tattooed onto my thigh whenever I was 19 (I'm still loving it, by the way!) because of the dedication I feel towards that game.

Whenever I was 12, I was diagnosed with Limbgirdle Muscular Dystrophy. Around this time, I became really depressed and turned towards gaming more than ever as my outlet for my sadness. I started spending a lot of time playing Final Fantasy X as well as more games for Xbox Live, like Conker: Live & Reloaded and Halo 2. I began to realize how much value there was in online friendships and I started to make some of the best friends I have ever had. I started playing Halo 3 upon it's release and that's when I learned about MLG and what it was.

From there, I immediately wanted to get involved in competitive gaming. I started playing Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, and CoD: Modern Warfare 2. Whenever I was playing Modern Warfare 2 competitively, I joined Team Foxy and attended my first LAN in Seattle. After this LAN, I ended up quitting Team Foxy and applied and joined vVv Gaming and continued to play Call of Duty and attend live events.

Attending live events and meeting the people who matter the most to me in person is probably the best choice I ever made. To feel accepted by people you love, no matter who you are, was something that I never really had the chance to experience. I felt comfortable talking to people I had never met before because we both shared a passion for gaming which was also something I had never experienced. I realized that seeing people so excited to watch and play games together and being able to talk to them about it was something I enjoyed more than playing games myself.

Because of my new found love of connecting with people on a more personal level because of competitive gaming, I started getting involved in Community and Forum Management with vVv. I now spend the majority of my time on PC games, mainly League of Legends and World of Warcraft. I also play some other games like Portal, The Stanley Parable, and, soon to be once I get my account back, Diablo 3. In the future, I'm looking to start streaming regularly and begin making YouTube videos!

Other random things: I'm super into makeup and hair styling/cutting/coloring, I love to cook, go horseback riding, and play the violin. I'm also beginning cello lessons in the very near future. If you have any questions about me, feel free to ask me!

Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations." - John Green
