I'm pretty sure it doesn't directly. Though if you quo with someone you know can play well it can positively effect ur elo because it's one less stupid person on your team :P

I'm pretty sure they changed it so that you gain less elo if you win and lose more if you lose while duo. But i can't get on the lol site at work to check. I'd advise going on the FAQ section on the LOL site :)

I believe he is right. you split elo when you win and lose normally when you lose.

it is also based on what the Elo Difference is between you and your partner. If you are 1200 and they are 1500 you both will get less elo from wins but they will also lose more on losses. This is to deter platinum players from carrying low elos in to higher elos where they cant play properly.

Yup. In placement matches it is probably a good idea to have a good duo partner, or someone else in their placements that you know is good because you can both cruise on up to 1600 and chill.

Yes, i just duo'd with nocontrol, 2k and 1300 elo.

I lost 19 elo and he lost 36... hahaha or smth like that.

Usually id lose 12 - 14

Just remember you most likely will be fighting another duo on the other team.
