vVv Gaming Makes Fifth MK9 Grand Finals Appearance of 2011!

The final KO's have been dealt and the last few fatalities have been issued as this year's fighting game tournament season comes to a close. This past weekend, the west coast was treated to end-of-year fighting action coming straight from the University of California Irvine at the annual SoCal Regionals! SCR features the hottest competitive fighting games and some of the best players in the world battling it out for top prizes.
Probably coming as no surprise to many, vVv Gaming was represented and again displayed their Mortal Kombat dominance! This time, however, the dominance came from somebody not named REO or CD Jr. Fighting for the V's on his chest while defending his hometown turf, Southern California native, vVv Krayzie, fought his way to the SCR Mortal Kombat 9 Grand Finals. His efforts gave vVv Gaming an astounding 5th appearance in a major grand finals this year!

vVv Krazyie determined to represent his hometown at SCR 2011.
vVv Krayzie moved his way through a bracket loaded with the likes of EG.Justin Wong, Online Tony, Alex Valle, ADG REL, and EGP Tyrant, winning 5 straight matches and landing himself in the Winners Finals to face 16 Bit. One match away from capturing a trip to Grand Finals, Krayzie faced his first difficult competition of the weekend in 16 Bit's Kitana. Krayzie dropped the match 3-0 and was sent to Losers Finals where he met DJT and his Jax, whom he 2-0'd earlier in the tournament. This time around, however, DJT adapted to Krayzie's playstyle and gave him a run for his money in which he narrowly escaped with a 3-2 victory to advance to Grand Finals!
In the last MK9 Grand Finals match of the year, vVv Krayzie again came face-to-face with 16 Bit, his foe from Winners Finals. After using Ermac during their previous match, Krayzie went back to his main character, Cyrax, to provide himself with the best possible shot at handing 16 Bit the loss. Krayzie gave a valiant effort, and even forced 16 Bit to drop his first game of the entire weekend, but it was too little. 16 Bit took the gold with the 3-1 Grand Finals victory, sending Krayzie home with silver.

Krayzie was able to continue vVv's Mortal Kombat dominance and puts the organization in prime position to continue its success into the New Year! Please join us in congratulating our West Coast sensation, vVv Krayzie on his second place finish at SCR!
