Featuring the band Powerglove and vVv Nynjatic.

Additionally, Activision has announced a new Call of Duty event in LA that includes a $1,000,000 tournament. Will this impact MLG? What does the competitive CoD scene think about this upcoming extravaganza? vVv Nynjatic joins us to discuss this in detail.

Being a huge metal fan, I really enjoyed the interview with Powerglove. I've been planning on attending the Summer Slaughter Tour in Philly in August so I'll be looking forward to seeing them live along with a slew of my favorite bands.

The $1 million event is huge for competitive gaming. I'd like to see more developers follow suit and host similar events.

Powerglove is just too amazing to put into words. Iíve had the privilege of seeing them on two occasions: GameUniCon 2009 and GUFest 2010. I was also looking forward to seeing them play at PAX East 2011 since they were playing on the free stage area. Problem was that even though I got there incredibly early, so early that the band that was playing before them were still in the middle of their set, it was already packed with people just waiting to see them, PLUS a huge line outside hoping to get in. We did, however, managed to find them walking around in front of a couple booths and got a sick pic with them!

Great interview with PowerGlove, was great to learn more about them and what their influences are.

I think the event that Activision is holding for Call of Duty is kind of a desperate act to get more out of their game, and to attempt to boost the potential sales of MW3. I will say that the lifesize map remakes for paintball does sound really awesome and I would love to be able to go and play several rounds.
