What makes Astros so good is the mixamp. If you took that out of the mix. Then you would have a better debate.

Just got my astros and I love them. They are hands down better than the tritton ax pros I returned last week.

They sound better and the mixamp is much better than the trittons.

Don't you have to buy the mix amp for the astros to work at home or is it just for the a40s?

I'm trying to get a new headset also :D

edit: I think Boston answered my question ha

astros break all the time,

good thing they have good customer service,

the controller to the mixamp cord lasts around 3-4 weeks and when that breaks you can't talk, trust me, it will break

I have Tritton Ax 730s. I gotten to use A40s before and I will say a40s are slighty better, but the 730s are amazing and are 130 dollars while a40s run 250 plus an optical cable 25 dollars. I'll stick with my trittons for now.

Turtle beaches IMO r the best...great sound quality for the price and very durable. My Trittons, would heat up to high temperatures... touching them was like touching a hot iron at points...it was really weird.
