  2. As eSports and technology change, so must vVv Gaming adapt in order to stay ahead. Our first change is a reduction in the application time to 30 days. All applicants will be reviewed at the 30-day mark to see if they are a good fit for vVv Gaming. We can extend this if we feel it is needed, but we also want to do less babysitting, and we will also be more aggressive closing apps if they don't "get it" 30 days into the application process. Most importantly, we decided that we needed a process that was more friendly and allowed applicants to tell us how THEY want to add value. Here are the methods that add value to vVv Gaming: Bloggers: Link us to your blogs so that we can evaluate if they are a good fit for vVv Gaming. Casters: Link us to examples of your casting so that we can determine if your content is a good fit for vVv Gaming. Donator ($15 per month): You like to game. Your time is precious, you want a community of skilled, social and intelligent gamers. You want to be a part of vVv Gaming, but real life does not make it easy for you to add value in other ways, so you donate. Game Guru (Subject Matter Expert): You know everything about a game. It’s not that you think you know everything about the game, it’s that everyone in the game respects your opinion. To prove that you are well respected, please share links to the game related forums proving your expertise. Graphic Artists: Link us to examples of your work so we can determine if the style and skill are a good fit for vVv Gaming. Socialite (vVv Forum Commando or loveable troll): You live in the vVv shoutbox. You love meeting new people and your posts are not just quantity; they are quality. When people log onto the vVv Gaming forums, you are one of those people whom everyone expects to see, and you make them feel at home. Social Media Expert (Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, YouTube): You live on Social Media and are addicted with getting the latest information and sharing it with others. You can live on a diet of tweets, retweets, likes, follows, upvotes and comments. Staff (Business Development, Sales, Team Manager, Tournament Organizer, etc): You’re professional. You have a resume full of positions that demonstrates your experience in eSports, Gaming or Community Development. Streamers: Link us to your stream so that we can determine if you are a good fit for vVv Gaming. Writers/Editors: Link us to articles so that we can determine if the content is a good fit for vVv Gaming. Video Producer: Link us to your YouTube channel and other videos you've created so that we can determine if your content is a good fit for vVv Gaming. You should notice that we want proof of what you did BEFORE applying to vVv Gaming for all the BOLD items. The two underlined items show ways to add value that do not require any previous proof. Again, we will evaluate you based on how YOU tell us that you will add value to vVv Gaming. We will ask all applicants and vVv members to do at least ONE thing well every month. Some may always do the same thing well, some may switch it up. The key is to constantly add value. Of course, if you want extra credit, do more than one of these at a high level, but always do at least one really well. Our next Chop-chop date is June 15th. You have 30 days to add value well. Good Luck.

Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom?: I first heard about you from someone on ladder, since then I've heard and watched people like Titan and Ruff play . Who do you know currently in vVv Gaming? How do you know them?: No one :'( Why you are interested in joining vVv Gaming?: I am interested in joining a clan that has active people and people that are better than me so that I can learn! I got the game 6 months ago and have made my way into mid/high masters pretty much by myself. I feel like I've gotten to the point now where I need people as dedicated as I am to practice with so that I can continue to improve and become one of the best. I want to do 3 or 4 hour practice sessions with people, and its hard to find those kind of people in random chat rooms. Adding value is an important aspect of being in vVv Gaming. How will you, personally, add value?: I will add value by being very active in this community and doing my best. I like casting and would love the chance to do more of it. Are you familiar with vVv's Geek to Me articles and Losers Bracket Podcast? If so, what some of your favorites and why?: Nope sorry, I checked out Losers Bracket and it sounds worth watching. How long have you been playing video games?: Probably 7 years, my parents didn't want me to get addicted to technology so they introduced me at 10. That failed, and now they support me in my endeavours. I played Age of Mythology for a long time when it came out, then I played Crossfire for a while. Maplestory, Runescape etc., when I found Starcraft though that was when I became obsessed with video games . How many hours per week do you devote to gaming?: between 35 and 45. What current division are you in and how many points do you have?: I'm in masters and have 404pts. Do you see yourself as competitive or causal gamer?: Competitive What games coming out are you looking forward to play and why?: HOTS, I feel like HoTS is going to be my chance to go pro, because there will be a new start and I will work harder than anyone to be on the top. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming?: I play all the Games Workshop Games, LOTR strategy battle game, Warhammer 40k (Tau), and Warhammer, (Wood Elves). I play curling, badminton, hockey, and tennis. Where do you see yourself next year at this time?: Being a boss at HoTS (Grandmaster) You are expected to add 3 Vs to your battle.net ID in front of your alias if accepted (ie vVvRoar)
  4. Talent (Ex vVv)

    Talent [Application]

Name: Andrew Age (minimum 16): 16 Gamertags (for all systems you own): oiTalent- (ps3) iTalent sC (XBL) iAmTalent (sc2) Do you have access to a computer and e-mail on a daily basis? Yes, at all times. What are your screen names (all that apply)? (AIM, MSN, Skype, Steam, Xfire) TheZerkHQ (Skype) Link to your Twitter page (twitter required): https://www.twitter.com/esn_Talent Link to your Google+ or Facebook page (at least one required): http://www.facebook.com/AlphaScrub?ref=tn_tnmn How frequently do you use Facebook, Twitter, Digg and/or Google+? Everyday How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom? Team Obey and Golden Boy, they said if I was going to look for any sort of community vVv is the best one out there! Who do you know currently in vVv Gaming? How do you know them? I have played with a few vVv members (vVv Medusa being the most memorable) I just faced them in a few scrims. Why are you interested in joining vVv Gaming? I am a competitive player and I want to step my game up by facing better players, they say losing is learning but I'm not learning enough from the players I am playing. Adding value is an important aspect of being in vVv Gaming. How will you, personally, add value?: I will be tweeting all the vVv stuff and interacting with players of all skill levels as much as possible, unlike a lot of players I have the ability to forget and move on, I don't stress about every loss, I gain a lot of respect for doing this alone, I want to help create a more friendly community in vVv's name! Also I try not to have the cockiness of a lot of players do. Are you familiar with vVv's Geek to Me articles and Losers Bracket Podcast? If so, what are some of your favorites and why?: I have only seen one of the losers bracket with Sundance on it but I found it really interesting to see what he had to say and also the question's vVv was asking him were well thought out. How long have you been playing video games? 10 years, starting with my good old PC and Sonic 2, I was a competitive Warhawk player at the age of 10 and got mw2 on March 10th, started playing competitively in August 2011 with a lot of "clan battle" experience I picked it up really quickly. How many hours per week do you devote to gaming? 40-50 hours, 5-6 on week days and 7-8 on weekends, times can vary depending on what I have for that week. What’s the hardest game you’ve ever beaten? Sonic 2, took me really long to complete that, I was 5 years old. What games coming out are you looking forward to play and why? Halo 4, Starcraft 3, I'm really into RTS games even though I just picked up sc2 for Christmas I've been hooked, Halo 4 because I was a big fan of halo back in the day but never really got the chance to play it too much. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? Extreme sports and normal sports, skateboarding, snowboarding, baseball, basketball and swimming. Where do you see yourself next year at this time? I see myself with a extremely successful stream consisting on strategy and entertainment that players will turn to because it helps them. What kind of competitive tournament experience do you have? I have participated at a few LAN events placing 9th out of 16th with my friends for fun and playing in a few IcoN's tournaments only getting beaten by pros. Have you attended any national events (MLG, WCG, CPL)? Travel costs from Canada to the U.S. are fairly expensive so I have not been able too but should they have a Toronto event I'll be there! How long have you been playing competitively? With clan battles I have been playing for about 2 years, 5 months on MLG rule sets. What was your best competitive moment? What was your worst? I clutched 3v1 on the offensive side of SnD while the round count was 5, 5, it was on villa winning us the game. Worst would be my choke at a LAN event, I was last man up on CTF and they pulled it, I tried knifing the flag carrier but missed and got turned on. What do you hope to achieve, competitively? I want to be a top player, I will practice and keep grinding even after I hit my goals, its just something I want to do, in the background I want to have my starcraft/CoD streaming running in good shape. What was your toughest competition? Getting picked up for scrims by pro players, I was playing for their respect because thats what I used to believe was the only way to get "big", I dropped 20s and gave Optic Merk a run for his money putting up 20s and getting my first major shoutout by ProoFy, it's all been uphill from there. How do you see vVv Gaming adding value to you? Respect, I'm known as a random and when I beat other players I get kicked and trash talked, I'm not one to talk badly back so I don't get invited to scrimmages anymore, when I was on VWS I never had this problem but since they went corrupt I've been just another AM playe Of vVv Gaming's accomplishments, what is/are the most surprising one(s)?: The most surprising as well as my favourite vVv achievement would hands down be vVvRuFF placing 1st in the W3X SC2 TeamLiquid tournament, I'm a huge fan of starcraft 2 and I really respect Team Liquid and it just so happens that RuFF is one of my favourite players, 1st place in GM? Thats just insane and is something to talk about. What is the best TLB episode you listened to, and why?: My favourite TLB episode was episode 95 where you guys brought Sundance on and discussed the future of MLG and what they plan on accomplishing in 2012, that was useful information and I watched every second of it and was able to relate to the things he was talking about.

Name : Joshua Franklin Wiedeman Age :17 What is your in game name :EGRorschach.248 Link to your Twitter page :https://twitter.com/#!/TachyonXL Link to your Google+ or Facebook page :http://www.facebook....100000490464530 How frequently do you use Facebook, Twitter, Digg and/or Google+? Facebook is my most frequent. every 30 min or so i check it. twitter is once a day. G+ is once every month. How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom? vVvspectral, i did some graphics work for his stream and he pointed me this way. Who do you know currently in vVv Gaming? How do you know them? vVvclout , i did some graphics designs for him, very fun person to talk to. has a thing for kid buu from dragonball z / vVvspectral , ive personal friends with this guy. really great player and a truly honest guy to talk to. / vVvturtle , a community member that i met and i play against as we train each other in game play tactics. Why you are interested in joining vVv Gaming? I want to join vVv because... it seems like a amazing community and a awesome opportunity to become a better player and a great place to meet friends. but mainly i want to be a part of vVv to have the ability to watch and play against fellow players to hone and sharpen my skill as a starcraft 2 gamer. Adding value is an important aspect of being in vVv Gaming. How will you, personally, add value? Adding value is something i intensely focus on. i LOVE to interact in forums and attend smaller scale tournaments. such as the mass amounts @ z33k.com i am a regular on the Daywalker daily tournament. but overall contributing to the team. i am a prolific player but very well mannered so not only spreading the awesome word of our team i regularly pick up players under my skill level and coach them to be even better than me. i do this mainly because its always fun to see them in a month or so 1-2 leagues above what they used to be. and i always do this for free. in general the forums, i love discussing strategy and putting out pointers that i learn from one of my mentors , EGmachine and EGstrifecro. Not to mention as a livestreamer i love to interact with my community and try to be the best stream all around even if my skill isn't the best. but i believe my general contribution would be my unwavering dedication to starcaft. ive been playing this game since i was 6 years old. that's over 11 years. starcraft 2 (according to xfire) ive logged nearly 10k hours of gameplay since beta. and even then i don't have xfire on all the time. ever since i watched my first GSL as a kid and saw incontrol vs flash and incontrols DT harass etc.. its been my dream to achieve that. maby not GSL but its my dream to go to MLG and be a competitor of note. and recently ive been taking giant leaps in that direction. in the past 5 months ive gone from forever bronze to being able to hold my own and nearly beat masters players. this is my dream and i am dedicated to this to the core. if i can have vVv and its awesome players behind my back as i continue up the ladder. it would be a incredible honnor for me. Are you familiar with vVv's Geek to Me articles and Losers Bracket Podcast? If so, what some of your favorites and why? I sadly do not partake in podcasts or blogs. i will probally begin soon though How long have you been playing video games?Since i was about 5. long live Mario kart How many hours per week do you devote to gaming? I devote regularly 50 hours a week. sometimes more. about 6 hours a night and about 10+ on Fridays and Saturdays. im pretty hardcore =/ What current division are you in and how many points do you have? Gold - about 150 ( i cant play much lately because my ram is terrible. can barely run sc2 alone. getting new ram today as a birthday present from vVvspectral :DD) but my current MMR has me reguarly defeating platinum players =/ yet it wont rank me up. funfunfun >.> Do you see yourself as competitive or causal gamer? I am very competitive. but i do enjoy hopping on 4v4,s and derping out in the bronze league with my friends. gotta play a few casual games every once and a while What games coming out are you looking forward to play and why?Minecraft,Starcraft2HOTS,Battlefield3,MW3,CIV5 What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? 23. crbox

    crbox - Sc2

Hi =), Name: Martin Maindl Race : Zerg Age: 19 What is your in game name (ie vVvRoar.873): crbox.922 How long have you been playing competitively? I am not, but I want to start playing seriously, like I play everyday, but I don't practice specific strategies, because I don't know anyone of my skill level except on the ladder. Link to all social media sites used.(Twitter/Facebook/youtube channel): I do have a facebook but it's for people I know IRL like family and friends. How frequently do you use Facebook and Twitter?: Not so much What current division are you in and how many points do you have? (SC2 Applicable): Masters, #1 in my division, currently 85 - 50. I don't like playing ladder on NA server. Have you attended any national events? (MLG, ESEA, WCG?) : No, never. Are you shy around people you don't know? Depends how they are, I'm not a shy person but I don't feel the need to talk around people that likes to take too much space :] Link us to some of your best personal achievements : Well gaming wise, I didn't really participate all that much into the community. I guess my ''biggest achievement'' would be that I have beaten several progamers on the ladder (eeeeeeee..). I'm going to attend ETS LAN in Montreal, if I win it (hoping kiwikaki won't come, because he's a sick monster) that would be my biggest achievement What was your biggest loss or disappointment in gaming? Why did you lose that match? lol many many many ladder games where I just threw the game away. I do play sloppy most of the time, I need to improve on that. How can you PERSONALLY benefit vVv Gaming? Well I need motivation to keep practicing, and the only problem I have is that I can't really play by myself, I need to talk with people between games to figure out what to improve. Also playing in a team would boost my self-confidence gaming wise. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? As funny as it sounds I like nature, even though I can't spend too much time away from my computer (T_T) I do like to climb so mountains once in a while or go camping with friends/family . Okay so, I really do believe I can improve enough to become a progamer. I have good mechanics, good game sense, but sometimes I get sloppy and lose because I play on tilt. I rarely lose when I play at 100% (not being braggy or anything.) I've been playing on and off starcraft 2 for a while now, I never felt the need to join a team because I did not care enough about the game, but now that I've been injured for a while and just started playing back (for about a week or two) I realized that joining a team would be a huge asset for my play. I hope you guys consider my application even though I never been in a professional team before. Good day to you guys and get back to me!

Name: Molly Age: 19 What is your in-game name: Flower.565 Link to your Twitter page: @xoFlower Link to your Facebook page: http://on.fb.me/ptnlSR How frequently do you use Facebook and Twitter? I use facebook everyday. Most of my family lives in Korea, so that plus Skype are my main forms of talking with them. I just recently got into Twitter, but I'm liking it. How did you hear about vVv Gaming? Were you referred to the site? If so, by whom? I played d_wAy on the ladder. Who do you know currently in vVv Gaming? How do you know them? LordJerith, vVv Gino(♥♥♥), vVv Vfx, vVv Cel, vVv Dway, vVv Muffins. Sorry if I left anyone out. I don't want to come off like a name dropper : P Why you are interested in joining vVv Gaming? Dunno really. Why do people like watching movies? Why do people like listening to music? It's just fun, you know? ^^ Adding value is an important aspect of being in vVv Gaming. How will you, personally, add value? I can setup CW's with some top teams if that's something vVv would be interested in. (I'd rather not name drop who^^) I'm a manager for several GM Players; Sign them up for tournaments, help schedule practices, and what not. Their time is extremely precious so I help them put their time where it should be. I don't mind doing it for them since they're my friends & I'll do anything I can to help them. ^^ I'm talking to vVv Administration about possibly getting them into vVv. This way vVv benefits from having new players and I'll be able to concentrate more on playing. I've started playing in a lot of Tournaments, so I'll be getting the vVv name out there. I also like to think of myself as a well-rounded gamer since I've played numerous genres instead of sticking to ones I'm comfortable playing: SWG, Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2, League of Legends, and Starcraft 2. Are you familiar with vVv's Geek to Me articles and Losers Bracket Podcast? If so, what some of your favorites and why? I listened to one of the LB shows where Jerith set the record straight. I thought it was really good to see him interacting like that. I think both people had some really good points & I respect both of their opinions. I don't watch too many streams or stuff like that. You learn a lot more from actually playing the game, so I spend a lot of time practicing on KR. How long have you been playing video games? ~3 Years. I started in Halo 3. How many hours per week do you devote to gaming? 20-30; It all depends on my how many XC Practices we have. What current division are you in and how many points do you have? Division? I'm in Warbringer Delta 1v1; 306 Points, but I'm 46-13, so I'm not really sure what to think. I probably need to ladder more. Do you see yourself as competitive or causal gamer? I'm definitely a competitive gamer. There is no debate. What games coming out are you looking forward to play and why? HoTS & SW:TOR. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? I am heavily involved in running cross country. I also have a really large collection of Vinyl records(About 1,200 total). Where do you see yourself next year at this time? An honest answer to asking someone where they will be in a year in the gaming community is like asking a 10-Year old where they see themselves in 30 years. It's just impossible to predict. There are so many amazing titles coming out that it's impossible to tell which ones will be amazing and which ones will be riddled with bugs that ruin a AAA Title(:cough: Dead Island :cough:).That being said, If I had to guess, I'd say playing HoTS or SW:TOR. You are expected to add 3 Vs to your battle.net ID in front of your alias if accepted: Not a problem ^^
  25. ssoda

    RevSoda - SC2

Name: John Soter Age: 17 What is your in game name (ie vVvRoar.873): RevSoda.726 How long have you been playing competitively? I've been playing sc2 since the beta back in August. But Ive been competing in various games since 2007. Link to all social media sites used.(Twitter/Facebook/youtube channel): http://www.youtube.com/user/sSodaGames, http://www.facebook....p?id=1498452551 How frequently do you use Facebook and Twitter?: I use facebook everyday What current division are you in and how many points do you have? (SC2 Applicable): Terran, Masters 1200 Have you attended any national events? (MLG, ESEA, WCG?) I attended mlg back in 2008 for rainbow six vegas two and got 11th. I went to Dallas 2011 for sc2 this year and did ok. Are you shy around people you don't know? It kind of depends on the situation but usually no. Link us to some of your best personal achievements. I won the 2011 sc2 Pax tournament this year. Other than that I have no notable tournament winnings other than getting top 32 in pro/am style tournaments. I play in a lot of tournaments, I can't really remember which tournaments I did well in. What was your biggest loss or disappointment in gaming? Why did you lose that match? Back in 2008, when I played rainbow, I went to my first event in Dallas. Well anyway, we went through open bracket without much trouble even though we were disqualified out of winners because one of our players was late. But anyway, we played a team and we were up 1-0 in maps and needed one more round to win 2-0 but we "choked" and lost. This was disappointing for me because we would have played on main stage next round and that was my goal. How can you PERSONALLY benefit vVv Gaming? I'm a smart player and I can represent a team really well. I may be young but I have a lot of potential and I consider myself really mature for my age. What are your hobbies and interests outside of gaming? I play Golf in my free time and I'm a huge sports fanatic in general. Other than that, gaming is my only hobby and I'm really trying to take my skills to the next level.
