We have moved to Discord   08/04/2016

There has been a strong desire among the community to migrate to Discord for quite some time. As of today, our community will be using Discord and as a result, we will no longer be actively using our TeamSpeak Server.  The TeamSpeak server will temporarily stay active to help inform all of our move to Discord. Within the next couple of months, it will be shut down completely.  For a quick invite to our new Discord server, you can click here.

New Supersonic Series Start Time   10/17/2016

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our recent survey regarding the start time of our tournaments.  After reviewing responses from the survey sent out to tournament participants we have decided to make changes to the start time of our events to try to better accommodate everyone.  Beginning on Monday, October 24th, all of our tournaments will start an hour earlier - at 8PM Eastern.  This means that registration will close at 7:30 EST, and that check-in starts at 7:30 EST and closes at 7:45 EST.

  1. I also was inspired to log back in for the first time in a year after reading your post. I already left a comment about it on FB, but I'll reiterate; I'll be around. I miss the place and I'm interested to see where it goes. Much love, ♡
  2. Me and my bf (RegalTiger) will be coming in to New Orleans on Friday evening for drinks and mingling. We don't plan on attending MLG, just hanging out. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up!
  3. I've never played, but I will now! Thanks for sharing the info.
  4. I love my kids. I just hate everyone else's. Thank goodness my boyfriend likes mine, or that'd be a problem.
  5. I REALLY HATE BABYSITTING MY ROOMMATE'S KID. SHE'S A 4 YEAR OLD CUNTBAG.
  6. Oh really now... I never realized you were a freak.
  7. I'M SO GODDAMN HUNGRY RIGHT NOW BUT TOO LAZY TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WHY THE FUCK DOES MY HAIR LOOK SO BAD THIS MORNING. THIS BRA IS REALLY PINCHING THE SHIT OUT OF MY RIGHT TIT NOW.
  8. I'll put my two cents in as a former member. I left 2 years ago for personal reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with the quality of this community. I will admit that I disagreed with the direction everything was going in regards to various things, off and on. However, disagreement can be a good thing; it has a tendency to get your gears turning in order to form a solution to whatever you think may be a problem. To blame certain issues on select members or leadership is only the result of avoiding personal responsibility. There has always been an ebb and flow to vVv. It's had its moments where everything was super busy, everyone was really excited and ripe with ideas. Then there are the moments where it seems vVv has lost its magic. This balance has a tendency to determine who is truly here to add value, because those who jump ship during stagnant times really don't have the passion to tackle the problems. I've been in both competitive and casual communities on and off for roughly 9 years now, and I have mixed opinions about casual communities. Yes, they can make everyone feel very included and welcomed. It's a big hugbox. Trust me when I say that even with all the back-patting and hand-holding included, these types of communities suffer the exact same stagnation and lack of activity from members. It's something that plagues any type of community from time to time. Something I've disliked about more casual settings was the interaction with not-so-desirable members; people who added no value, who were also pretty toxic people in general. And the thing is, it was always hard for leadership to justify kicking them out. When you're casual, you have no actual standards. It's an asshole free-for-all. Plain and simple, you cannot force people to want to be more active, regardless of the circumstances. You can only lead the horse to water. Sacrificing quality of members for quantity of members is not the answer.
  9. I had a TH8 and a TH6. My accounts got hijacked though, and there's no way for me to recover them. Long story. No, I wasn't hacking or something silly. I've been wanting to get back into CoC and would be happy to join. Even if I have to start from square one, at least my noob level would give us some really easy targets during clan war.
  10. I began gaming in the late 80's as a young kid as a way to bond with family. I continued throughout the 90's and 00's, sporadically, whenever I had the time or interest. When I became pregnant with my first child when I was 22, I was on maternity leave and needed a hobby, so I bought an Xbox 360. I've been a regular gamer ever since. In summary, it was a way to spend family time growing up as well as a way to kill time until I popped out a kid. From there, it stuck.
  11. *hugs everyone* *even Spike*
  12. ARKAINE!!!!! xoxoxoxoxo
  13. Tahvvy, don't act like you haven't missed me, boo.
  14. If a PC beta happens, I'm all over that.
  15. *curtsy* Also... "Welcome black" would have been a funnier response. Thanks for playing.
