    • Twitch Caster Opportunity for Rocket League!   10/04/2015

Wanted: Rocket League Twitch Caster   vVv Gaming is looking for a streamer who wants to turn our biweekly Rocket League tournaments into a premier event.  Your role as a caster would be to stream the events on our vVv Twitch channel and commentate on plays in the game.  There are 4-6 Rounds in each tournament and you would be casting one game out of each round.  This is a volunteer position.   What we are looking for: - Available Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 9pm EST to about midnight - 720p 60 FPS video - Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to interact with an audience - Willingness to stream from our official channel.   What we consider a bonus: - Familiarity with video editing and editing software - Previous streaming experience (specifically shoutcasting) - Familiar with Rocket League eSports scene - Know how to setup and use twitchalerts.com or similar system   These tournaments provide a chance for amatuer Rocket League players to connect with and play against others to learn key elements to the game and the importance of teamwork. The point of the stream would be to highlight great plays from teams and to recognize new and upcoming talent.
For the specifics of the event, refer to our guide on the Community Tournaments here.   If you are interested in the opportunity, please send me a private message via these forums!

    MLG Dallas 2011
    Adam "IceVayne" Konen

MLG Dallas 2011, where do I really begin with this event? I guess the best way to recap this eventful weekend would be to skip the uneventful Thursday and start on Friday in Dallas. Before going to the event we chilled out for a while, because we didn't want to deal with the super long line MLG always has for people to check in. We headed there around noon, and were able to catch up in the line with Jason, Keara and others near the front of the line. The line moved slowly forward, and we finally checked in and walked around the venue to see the new set up. It was pretty amazing. The only thing that I wish was different was to have the commentators more interactive with the spectators.

We started warming up on the new the MLG monitors. If you don't have one yet, you need to go out and grab one. After warming up we grabbed something to eat since we knew it was going to be a long night. Our first round was a bye, so watched our friends playing. Round 2 and 3 were pretty easy for us and we won both series 2-0. Round 4 we played against Extreme Z, Killzone, Xile, and Napoleon. We dropped the first game of Element TS to them, and I know I played really bad that game. Despite our practice I wasn't fully warmed up for full screen. But no worries, cause after that loss we proceeded to take the next two games with ease. We advanced onto Winners Round 5 to face Cryptic, took both the games easily and won the series 2-0.

To get into pool play we had to play Swagga Like Us. Game 1 was Zealot TS, which wasn't the strongest game type or map, and we lost like 50-37. Game 2 started out really slow for us, and we were really slow and inactive. Halfway through the game Frosty got everyone pumped and told us that we need to get into it or we were going to lose, plain and simple. We bounced back and won the game 5-3 (or 5-4). We were pumped for the next game which was Sanctuary TS. It was a back and forth game for the most, but we took a bad turn at the very end with some miscommunication and we lost the game 50-49, losing the series 2-1. That was one long and dreadful walk back to our hotel. We ended up being able to joke about the whole situation and kept ourselves in a good mood.

Saturday came and it was mostly us just us standing around and watching people until like 6PM. We had a pretty awesome chant going for my team called "Who ate all the pies," saw some pretty insane upsets happen in losers bracket, and got some time to warm up against Hot N Mild. We got some good warm up games in with them and were ready to play our first match up. We ended up facing against Young Money for top 24. Game 1 was Sanctuary CTF and wasn't too much of a challenge (they

I don't think the Yankees off season was that a big of a bust. They did sign 3 pitchers that are more low risk, high rewards. Bartolo Colon has been pitching pretty well this spring. I haven't seen much of Freddy Garcia, but they can add some good value to the rotation. It just depends if A.J. will be solid or not.
