We have moved to Discord   08/04/2016

There has been a strong desire among the community to migrate to Discord for quite some time. As of today, our community will be using Discord and as a result, we will no longer be actively using our TeamSpeak Server.  The TeamSpeak server will temporarily stay active to help inform all of our move to Discord. Within the next couple of months, it will be shut down completely.  For a quick invite to our new Discord server, you can click here.

New Supersonic Series Start Time   10/17/2016

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our recent survey regarding the start time of our tournaments.  After reviewing responses from the survey sent out to tournament participants we have decided to make changes to the start time of our events to try to better accommodate everyone.  Beginning on Monday, October 24th, all of our tournaments will start an hour earlier - at 8PM Eastern.  This means that registration will close at 7:30 EST, and that check-in starts at 7:30 EST and closes at 7:45 EST.

  1. So what your saying is, moving banelings are to zerg as dt's are to protoss as cloaked banshees are to terran? Hmmm..... that does sound a little OP. /sarcasm
  2. Here's what stood out to me: a system that prevents children under the age of 18 from playing games during a period that their parents or legal representatives set. Wouldn't that mean that if the parents *don't* set a period that they can still game any time? I really don't see it being a problem, it looks to me as if it's all for publicity to make it seem like they're doing something big, but really it's just stating something that any good kid should already know: you have to listen to your parents, and if they say get off then you get off.
  3. Shhhh, we don't talk about those times.
  4. Alright, I've put off making this post, but after seeing everyone else write an essay on here I decided I might as well. When I first joined the site, 4 years ago, I had no clue what competitive gaming was. I was going into my first year of high school, and I had joined the site as some gamebattles random that happened to stumble upon the MLG stream where vVv ReWritten won the event for Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. I didn't know anyone on the site, had no connections to anything here, other than my love for video games. vVv as a whole stepped up and accepted me, but most of all I can remember you being there. Back in the day when we had Community Game Night on GoW 2, and I was "a cat with guns," you took me in as if we had known each other a long while. After bringing along a certain "furry turtle," and getting to know the community better, Stitches talked us both into applying to be members. That was a BIG deal to both of us, and it was wonderful when we both got in(for the first time). I remember when it was a privilege to know the five pillars of vVv Gaming, in their original form. I remember writing them down, just as you told me to, and repeating them to you in condensed form. I remember it all like it was yesterday. vVv and you in general taught me so much, and helped me grow into the person I am today. Through your speeches that you'd have during Community Game Night on Gears, or Vent, or now Mumble, you would always have an eye-opening point of view to whatever the discussion was. You are a great leader, and a wonderful role model. You specifically know how much vVv means to me, or else I wouldn't have reapplied the, what is it now, five or six times that I have. You wouldn't know it by my post count, or by me never having been on staff, or playing any game at a competitive level, but I've been around vVv for just as long as almost everyone else in this community, if not longer. I'm glad that I have been able to be of some importance in your life for the past four years, and hope to be able to be in your life. You have been a great influence in my life, and I'm very happy to have the opportunity to know you.
  5. You're welcome.
  6. Wow. I didn't ever think I'd see the day where vVv was run by someone other than Jerry. That being said, Doomhammer is definitely the easy choice to take his place. I'm glad to see Jerry excel to a new position within the gaming community, and know that he will still be just as influential as ever in vVv. Good luck to both of you!
  7. Lol, kinda reminds me of the vVv of a couple years ago, referring to only having sponsored players be labelled as part of that game's group. I think it's a move back in the right direction, I always felt closer to the community when we were all one big group.
  8. Yeah, have to say it was coming. I'll still be around either way.

  10. Man this is g00t! Now I can buy the mousepad and literally ONLY USE STEELSERIES STUFF.
  11. Now just think of if someone that was somewhat good did it.... The Auburn CSL team has their meetings and stuff in one of the library rooms every week. Not sure if people stop by and watch though...
  12. Along with what everyone else has said, feel free to join us on mumble to ask questions and get to know everyone. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for you to find someone willing to help you learn.
  13. Anyone feel like writing a tl;dr version for the lazy?
  14. So they made it where you have to rank up on LAN, but not in online custom games?
