We have moved to Discord   08/04/2016

There has been a strong desire among the community to migrate to Discord for quite some time. As of today, our community will be using Discord and as a result, we will no longer be actively using our TeamSpeak Server.  The TeamSpeak server will temporarily stay active to help inform all of our move to Discord. Within the next couple of months, it will be shut down completely.  For a quick invite to our new Discord server, you can click here.

  1. Concerning vVv

Over the course of the last 2 months I have put my heart into vVv gaming. I loved the community, the people, the players, and just being able to sit in the shout box and be able to have a casual conversation with some crude humor. I’ve bought shirts, customized my Astros with the logos, ignited my twitter feed with all of the latest news, and even used the website and logo in my stream, my YouTube, and my Facebook. However, the last two weeks some serious changes happened between a few members and due to their actions led to my ultimate decision to close my app and walk away from this community. I joined this community because of all of the good things I’ve heard about it since the first time seeing it in 2008. I’ve heard my share of bad, but I pushed that aside and gave it a shot. I’ve met some great friends here in my short time. Unfortunately, a few days after opening my application for vVv a spot for a program opened and I blindly applied with no hopes of getting in, with no word from them for other the next two months I forgot, and put my focus towards the community. Two days before my pre interview I received and email saying that I was accepted for the spot. I was excited, but concerned what it would do for my part in the community. I was not the only member who was given this opportunity. I was politely asked to remove myself from the program or too not be accepted, which I was perfectly fine with. I ready to write an email to the company when another member was “supposedly” attacked for trying to enter in this same program. After removing myself from those thoughts I realized it was the better option in my situation to go along with the program. I maturely declined my interview, and apologized to everyone who I felt I wasted their time with me and moved on. I logged on to my social media to read up on my friends who I haven’t seen in a while. I come across a post which has over 400 posts of 3 members assaulting each other because of this “program” I will not call names or point fingers, however I found this very insulting to what I’ve spent my time and effort into. I am not taking sides on who was right or who was wrong. In my eyes, they were both wrong. I understand one provoked the other. But we’re a professional, mature, community. I did not join vVv to see members insult and attack each other over quitting or being cut. We are all cut for a reason, and I blame no one. Jerry’s decisions are final, and I respect that. This is his community, his responsibility, his reputation. And for jerry for politely asking anyone for anything should not be taken for granted. However, letting other members under the community’s name brawl in a public social network is unacceptable, and breaks one of the 5 pillars this community stands on, and we all know and we have memorized when we wrote our applications to this community. We are this community. We drive it forward just as far as we can bring it down. We are the blood that pumps through vVv. And if we are to be treated as professionals in the community known as E-sports. We need to act accordingly. This is the exact opposite I wanted to see when I joined vVv. All I can say is I’m disappointed. And once again, I’m not taking sides in this. I would just like to point out the behavior we hold so strongly to stray away from. And again also, I’m sorry for any trouble I’ve brought to the community, and I deeply apologize to any staff and Jerry for wasting your time in my application process.
  2. Concerning vVv

I have come to the conclusion to decline my interview. I feel I am not in a position to become a full member of vVv at this time. To anyone who knows my situation I am going to stick with it for the time being. I feel it is too big of an opportunity to forfeit in the circumstances of the game I love to heart. I apologize to LordJerith and any other vVv staff if you feel that I have wasted your time. I will continue to be an active forum member, and will most likely still hide in the shout box as my usual day consists. I will still continue to support vVv through social media and my stream if allowed, along side my other affiliates. Thank guys for the opportunity, Sebastian "Phlosio" Wittler
