We have moved to Discord   08/04/2016

There has been a strong desire among the community to migrate to Discord for quite some time. As of today, our community will be using Discord and as a result, we will no longer be actively using our TeamSpeak Server.  The TeamSpeak server will temporarily stay active to help inform all of our move to Discord. Within the next couple of months, it will be shut down completely.  For a quick invite to our new Discord server, you can click here.

vVv Gaming Presents: ADL Season 10!   08/12/2016

TL;DR: Season 10 of the vVv Gaming LoL ADL begins Friday, August 19th @9pm EST/6pm PST! Discord Info              Just be on Discord at the check in time and have a level 30 with at least 16 champions to participate! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ vVv Gaming has had a long history in competitive e-sports; and, while the LCS may be a long way off for the organization, we can still participate in semi-competitive LoL activities as a community. The ADL has, and will continue to be, our main way to achieve this. However, let’s be honest, the ADL has had a rough time over the past few seasons. This comes from both participant enjoyment, as well as coordination and structuring of the event as a whole. While I do not plan on completely fixing the system from the start, I do believe that there are some short (and long) term changes that can make the experience better for everyone: ·         We are keeping participation points for this season, as well as the Elo ranking system used for previous seasons. ·         We will have people recruiting more in the game from the community, and attempt to bring more LoL community members to the discord that we feel would be good for the vVv community. ·         We will be implementing new rules for the drafting phase. Some of these rules will be introduced as the season progresses and are covered below. ·         Unfortunately, at this point in time, there is no information regarding a prize. If a viable prize method/opportunity comes about in the future, current season winners will be rewarded retroactively. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rules and Details (Read if new):          Nights will consist of two matches per night. You must be able to attend both games (Don’t be that guy, play it out).          Be on Discord NO LATER than 8:55pm EST/5:55pm PST for Check In. This will be slowly changed to 8:45pm EST as the season progresses. We want the drafting phase this season to be as smooth as possible.  We want to give people time to announce their roles before hand.           Check in will happen in the ADL Check In Discord Channel BEFORE players move to the regular ADL channel, and at 9:00pm EST people will move to channels matching their Dynamic Queue rank. Missing the check-in deadline means that you will not be able to participate that night and will not receive a participation point.          During the Check In, participants will announce their top 3 preferred roles for a staff member to place in a spreadsheet (Discord does not allow for your descriptions to be changed, that I am aware of).          Have a level 30 account, at least 16 champions, and be ready to have some fun!          Additional Questions? Contact vVv Eternal or vVv Yui        The ADL will last for 10 weeks this season, there will then be a three-week break before the next season starts (Currently scheduled for Nov. 11, 2016).        Cheating or Smurfing in the ADL is not permitted. Anyone caught doing either of these this will be suspended from the ADL, no exceptions. Cheating will result in a permanent suspension, smurfing will result in a 5-week suspension.  New Drafting Process: So, in previous seasons of the ADL, the highest ranked players were given the priority in being team captains for any given night. While this was not a bad system, it did leave some players feeling left out over the course of the season. That being said: ·         Highest ranked players will no longer be automatically chosen as the team captain. ·         Team captains will be chosen by the number of participation points that a player has (you earn 1 point for each night you attend, REGARDLESS of whether or not you are picked). ·         No player can be captain more than once every 4 weeks (depending on overall participation). ·         The first weekend will have captains from an arbitrary division and lower. So here is my logic (bear with me). With some outlying cases, most of the team captains would pick from highest available skill in a role down, until all of the top players (and a few peoples friends) were picked. I don’t expect this to change at all; however, this allows for both new and lower skill level players and community members, as well as frequent participants, to always have a shot at playing. They also get the benefit of knowing (eventually) in advance that they will be captains. Additional Information: I would like to try and address the speed of the drafting process. For now, the primary way of doing this will be the check-in time; however, if another feasible method is suggested, any changes will be updated in this section. After the Games: ·         Players will join the winning team's discord channel, and all players will be given feedback if they desire it. ·         Players may also provide criticism and suggestions for the ADL. (We are still seeking to improve the event if the community desires it) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More Darn Rules ·         Teams will still be matched by alphabetical order of Discord channel for the time being. ·         The winner of the first match will play the winner of the second (both matches are played out simultaneously), and the same goes for the losing teams. ·         The higher team alphabetically will be chosen to be on the blue side for the first game, and the lower team will get blue side when the second game is played. Leaving/AFK: If someone leaves a game for any reason and does not reconnect, they will be given a 2-night suspension from the ADL. The player may appeal the suspension with an ADL Staff member if there was a legitimate reason for the disconnect. However, all appeals must happen at least 24 hours before the next ADL event. You also may only appeal a disconnect once per season. Pausing: Players may pause the game for UP TO 10 minutes if a player on their team is having connection issues. PLAYERS MUST INFORM AN ADL STAFF MEMBER IF A GAME IS PAUSED. If the reason cannot be resolved in 10 minutes, the team whose player disconnected will concede the match. If the enemy team agrees, they may also use their 10-minute pause to give the other team more time. Teams only get two pauses per game. Replacement Players: Player replacement will be handled the same as in previous seasons. A player may be replaced by another player of the same rank or lower, provided both teams agree to the replacement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So that’s it folks.  Thank you for sticking through the whole announcement, we understand it is somewhat lengthy, however the information had to be provided.  You are now ready for the 10th season of the ADL! If you have any questions feel free to contact vVv Eternal     See you on Friday, August 19th at 8:55pm EST/6:00pm PST!     ADL Staff: vVv Eternal   To join the discussion click here!

Changes to Community Game Nights   09/13/2016

Thank you to everyone who participated in week’s survey.  After reviewing responses from the survey sent out to tournament participants the previous week, staff availability, and looking at conflicts with other tournaments, we have decided to make changes to our Wednesday Night Tournaments.  Moving forward, as of Thursday, September 22nd, team tournaments will be hosted on Thursdays as opposed to Wednesdays. We hope with the new schedule, the overall participation will improve, as there will be fewer conflicts between tournaments being hosted.   If you have any further feedback, please leave us a comment in the following thread:  http://www.vvv-gaming.com/forum/topic/72439-supersonic-series-feedback-thread/

  5. Finger's Crossed with Genocides app :D .. so exsited

  6. Thank You all for the positive comment's ! As for the social site's i will get the team to make a facebook and twitter no problem , thanks for letting us know
  7. 1.How long have you been playing competitively? A) I have been playing GoW2 competitively for 2 year's now. 2.If you are attending a LAN event, please detail your travel plans here (flight info, car info, train info, bus info, etc A) As I am not attending a LAN at the moment I do not have any infomation on travel plan's. 3.How many hours during the week do you devote to gaming? How many of those hours are for the game for which you are applying? A) I devote at least 3-7 Hours a day to gaming and about 3-5 hours a day to Gears of War. Gaming is a big part of my life and enjoy every second of it!. 4.Have you attended any national events? (MLG, CPL, WCG?) A) As of yet I have not had the chance to attend a Event such as MLG or WCG mainly because of money , I Have gone to a convention in my home city of Christchurch called Armageddon 2011 , It featured a couple of local team's fighting it out for Microsoft Point's . 5.Are you shy around people you don't know? A) Quite the opposite really ! I enjoy the chance to meet new people. 6.Link us to some of your best personal achievements. A) http://www.cybergame.../tournament/55/ - The team that me and clutch led in the tournament came second at a online tournament . I was extremly proud of my team for what we accomplised in that tournament! 7.What was your biggest loss or disappointment in gaming? Why did you lose that match? A) The biggest loss I have ever had would have to be the Final's of the Cybergamer 4v4 Tournament (See above) We lost the match purely because we got outplayed on the day . The other team's strats where better and player's preformed well on the day of the final. 8.How can you PERSONALLY benefit vVv Gaming? A) As ways of spreading the name of vVv Gaming I would Start with simple thing's like puting vVv Gaming/Sponsors of vVv into my bio on Xbox, put vVv / Sponsor's on my Youtube channel but they are simple thing's. As I stated earlier I Get along with people very well and I happen to have alot of friends that are gamer's! I Would Definitely tell them about vVv Gaming and would also get them to check out the website and Podcast's.And by word of mouth of course I would do all that I could to get vVv Gaming a big name in New Zealand!Make some threads about vVv in websites such as Cybergamer where I could tell people about the great community of vVv and the podcast's and try and get more people looking at vVv and get more people looking at what you guys have to offer. If I ever got the chance to attend a LAN event , Unlike alot of teenages my age I feel I could be the type of person that you would feel comfortable have your brand/name on. I Watched the video of the tennis player a couple of days ago , That video really gave me a new outlook on thing's and got me thinking . Why am I diffrent to everyone else? How could I sell the "Brand"? And you need to sell the sponsor's! And really I feel that I could diffently get the sponsor's name out there and Sell the "Brand" of vVv Gaming but I would love that chance to prove it to you! 9.Link to all social media sites used.(Twitter/Facebook/youtube channel) http://www.youtube.com/user/Darkshayds?feature=mhee#p/a/f/0/wAr8ozH72s0 Youtube channel is called Darkshayds and I currently do not upload video's but I am currently saving up money for a capture card to record game's/Commentary's which I will upload onto my Youtube channel. 8. 1.How long has this roster been playing together? A) Since January 2011 so coming close to 8 month's now 2.Where do the players live in relation to one another? A) Clutch live's in Sydney, Swikz from NewCastle , AussieTrigga in Melbourne and DeadZone lives in Brisbane all from Australia . And Deadly come's from Christchurch,New Zealand so there is quite alot of distance between us all. 3.What are your team’s accomplishments? With this exact roster? Links? If this exact roster has not accomplished anything, please list each player's accomplishments with supporting links. As of lack of Tournament's in Australia for GoW2 at the time . This team has not had that chance to go into a tournament together with the line-up we currently have , But Clutch , Deadly and AussieTrigga where in the same team at the time of the Cybergamer 4v4 Tournament. *Clutch , Deadly and AussieTrigga 2nd Cybergamer 4v4 Tournament http://www.cybergame...Dreamz-no-Evil/ From this link you can see the line-up of both team's and infomation about the tournament. At the time we are under the Name Dreamz no Evil http://www.cybergame.../tournament/55/ From this link you can see the bracket's and they journey that we took. *Swikz 1st Cybergamer 4v4 Tournament http://www.cybergame...Dreamz-no-Evil/ From this link you can see the line-up of both team's and infomation about the tournament. At the time Swikz was in the team Team Legacy http://www.cybergame.../tournament/55/ From this link you can see the bracket's and how Swikz team did (Swikz was under the name Darkstar at the time) *Deadzone He is a new recruit to the team of Genocide and has showen alot of potential but as of yet has not had any big achievment's in Tournament's. 4.What are your team's latest tournament results? Please provide support links and any links to supporting pictures. A)With this current line-up we do not have any result's. 5.What is the team's next event online? LAN? A) We are awaiting the release of Gears of War 3 at the moment . And as there is no LAN's or Online Tournament's at the moment as the game is yet to be released. With some financial help we would love nothing more than to attend LAN's but regardless we will be playing in as much online tournament's as we can . We feel that it is essential to play in alot of these tournament's to practise stratagy's and build more team chemisty . Would also be good for alot of the player's to get a feel for big tournament's and playing under pressure. 6.If you've been sponsored before, who was your best sponsor? Why? A) This current team has yet to be sponsored. 7.Why are you no longer with them? A) We do not have a sponsor 8.What was your worst sponsor? Why? A) This current team has yet to be sponsored. 9.What do you hope to achieve with your team? A) With this team we want to take competitive to the next level and verse the best of the best . Our current goal's are to play in as many possible online tournament's and get our name out there as a team to be reckoned with. And most of all attend LAN's like WCG , ACL and possibly MLG and get the #1 spot that the team is so hungry for. 10.Who do you see as your toughest competition? A) In Australasia we feel that our toughest competition would be Team Legacy as they seem to be the only team that give's us a run for our money but is still very much beatable. In the world it would I have to imagine that all the pro team's that we would come up against in LAN's or online event's would be tough and we wouldn't take any of them lightly. 11.What is your expected finish at your next event? A) First , our team is extremly confident with the right support and overall practise we could win any tournament we participate in. 12.What do you hope to get out of vVv Gaming? A) Build friendship's with fellow gamer's and be part of a extremly nice and easy to like community. We want nothing more than to get our name out there and have a team like vVv Gaming backing us through our journey for the #1 spot. Overall the team want's to be part of the vVv community and represent them at big event's!. Also we would need the help of vVv Gaming to get our team's to the LAN Event's that are offered to us. The one reason we feel that we would not be able to achieve our goal's of being the best team GoW has to offer is money We would need some financial support to attend LAN's or possibly entry fee's into tournament's.
  9. Wow using the bullets as the button's are a really good feature ! I Think i would buy this if i had the spare cash
  10. Thanks for the tips man! good read
  11. That's actually a really good point .... Those spawn points would make it hard to be competitive ..
  12. I can see it being really Intresting and will bring something new to the table . I Think it could work! but personally i think i would still prefere Execution
  13. Limited Edition , Cant get the Epic Edition where i am at
  14. Awsome! Thanks man
