    • Twitch Caster Opportunity for Rocket League!   10/04/2015

Wanted: Rocket League Twitch Caster   vVv Gaming is looking for a streamer who wants to turn our biweekly Rocket League tournaments into a premier event.  Your role as a caster would be to stream the events on our vVv Twitch channel and commentate on plays in the game.  There are 4-6 Rounds in each tournament and you would be casting one game out of each round.  This is a volunteer position.   What we are looking for: - Available Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 9pm EST to about midnight - 720p 60 FPS video - Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to interact with an audience - Willingness to stream from our official channel.   What we consider a bonus: - Familiarity with video editing and editing software - Previous streaming experience (specifically shoutcasting) - Familiar with Rocket League eSports scene - Know how to setup and use twitchalerts.com or similar system   These tournaments provide a chance for amatuer Rocket League players to connect with and play against others to learn key elements to the game and the importance of teamwork. The point of the stream would be to highlight great plays from teams and to recognize new and upcoming talent.
For the specifics of the event, refer to our guide on the Community Tournaments here.   If you are interested in the opportunity, please send me a private message via these forums!

Of course random people don't care to help and also think they're better than you. No competitive game has a noob friendly community after it has been established. I mean, you can't expect or desire strangers to help you.

As a new player most of your game knowledge is derived from what you've experienced with other people your level and their knowledge is mostly secondhand. The most important thing when leveling in LoL is to keep an open mind (variety) and always work towards improvement.

Don't main a champion. Once you think you have a decent understanding of a champ, move on to a new one. If you keep playing the same champion chances are you won't improve by any measurable amount and when you're actually level 30 you'll be one of "those guys" that can more quickly say what they can play rather than what they can't. As you add more and more champions to your personal play roster you'll gain better understanding of the champions you started with in the first place (learning new champions will make you better with old ones).

    A Promise
    League of Legends community,

Please allow me to beg pardon for my recent attitude and the poor manner in which I've handled our interactions. The way in which I have acted these past few weeks is not something that I am even remotely proud of. I have been apathetic to you, the members of vVv-Gaming, and I really do care about you. I have no excuse for my conceited demeanor that has served to purpose nothing and there's no hope that I can reclaim our lost time, time I so carelessly wasted. My overblown pride and self-interest have forever outlived their comedic value and entered the volatile territory of annoyance and agitation. I am sorry. For every haughty boast, every insolent joke, I am sorry. For every nerve bent, every jaw clenched, I am sorry. It was never my intention to alienate myself from you, I felt like I was no longer connecting and instead of being part of something larger, I made pretend I was larger, it's pathetic, I was pathetic. But I can refocus my behavior to match and surpass the person that you need me to be, that I want to be.

The worst of it all is that I know how horrid it must have been to be around and didn't do anything about it until the very last second. I can't apologize enough for my insensitive conduct, but it's the first act toward reparation that I must take. As someone who places high value in attitude I scarcely believe how much I influenced myself for the worse but I restate and promise this: I can and will refocus my behavior to match and surpass the person that you need me to be, that I want to be.

Words are cheap -- but so is forgiveness and I have nothing to gain from empty vows.

    Moving forward.

  12. ShowNoHope added a post in a topic League of Legends Aspire Team?

I have not yet partaken in the joust! One day I shall, at this moment I am engaged in a few too many endeavors that would inhibit my dedication. These events will soon pass but for now I must await the altering of surroundings in both my work and leisure environments as well as the transportation of possessions I needs must facilitate in result of said events. Perhaps you have taken notice of the pleasure I receive in "tooting my own horn" and I feel as though you disapprove of the hip-hopesque, public personality that I have chosen to project. If my assumption is correct, I am glad that it is working! Rest assured, that when I am so srsly guys, I do not over or under estimate myself or my opponents so readily and maintain the perfect competitive attitude. Meanwhile, I prefer trolling the shit out of everyone so that they don't forget my existence, I may not be taken seriously but that will come in time, sah.

    Gentlebro and scholar,

P.S. Let me know when my level you have achieved
  13. ShowNoHope added a post in a topic League of Legends Aspire Team?

but who would coach you MUAHA (srsly)
  14. ShowNoHope added a post in a topic League of Legends Aspire Team?

So we already kind of tried this, and we kind of didn't keep it up but if they're going to bring it back, cool. But as far as coaches go, I'm about it, and I'm not the most patient guy not to mention how selective I am in the people I want to train. And I can only handle so many students.

You can be all like, "who TF are you to coach people?"
And i'm all like "betternyou" (or closenuff)
    And people be like "hahnuhuh"
    And I be like "pizzowned"
    And babes be like "DAYUM"

And I'm awesome so you know what I says, I says "I'm awesome"
