  1. Nice review. A friend of mine has this same exact rig and loves it.
  2. Hey everyone (sorry if I posted in the wrong section, I didn't want to post in the Members Only section), I know a lot of you love your GFX, so I figured i would extend an olive branch and see if any of you are interested. 3. It has happened to me once or twice, there is nothing you can do. I, although, have seen a decrease from people who would only play one role in the old solo and troll otherwise to the new champ select. For me, the big upgrade is the last pick not being stuck with a role they know they suck at, thus fucking everyone right in the poosack while playing.
  4. Dynamic Queue or the new champion select? Most people seem to hate dynamic queue, while I actually love it! Even though I only get to play a game or two a night, I like playing with people queued together,r it's a lot of fun! In terms of the new champion select, that is pretty much why I came back to play a little bit. Not watching people fight over roles is awesome. One thing I noticed is the amount of AFKs. I don't know, maybe it's because my ELO dropped because of the reset, but I get someone going AFK one out of every 4 games or so and it's really annoying.
  5. Classic Doomhammer causing choas everywhere. I don't know anything about the game but you can PM him here: http://www.vvv-gaming.com/forum/profile/5702-vvv-doomhammer/ It may result in a quicker response
  7. Signed up!
  8. Feel free to add me! I don't play too much because of the time spent working, but I try to save time for a game a day or so. I don't know after the recent patch but im between G4 and MG4 (i think Mg1) My steam is nCage and is also on the stickied post within the CSGO forums.
  10. So, not trying to be a dick or anything ... but ... First off, HTML/CSS aren't programming languages, and the time it takes to become an "expert" in designing web-based shit is 100x easier than learning a programming language. When you deal with HTML and CSS, you only need to worry about what looks good, and compatibility with other devices/browsers. There is much more than this when you get into programming. Next, I went to a school that had a pretty big game development program and I can safety tell you that it is EXTREMELY competitive, and the unemployment rate after college is quite high, so you need to be REALLY good, and have a great portfolio. However, if you are young and don't need a job to pay bills, then fuck it why not? From what I heard at school, most people in the game programming degree started off with Python then went from there. I personally know when you get the hang of one language, most others will come pretty easily to you (except weird shit like Perl, which is like looking at fucking Chinese). One of the requirements for graduating from my school is that you had to create something "innovative" (I know, stupid, right?). I decided to write a program in Ruby for network security related stuff. The thing is, at the time, I was pretty shit at programming, and didn't know how to even output "Hello World!" in the language. Being the lazy shit I am, I waited until about a week before we needed a "prototype" to present. I stayed up for about 48 hours straight an wrote a good portion of the module I wanted to create without knowing shit about Ruby. All I did was pretty much just come up with a basic written out English-written program, and looked up the best ways to actually do it. For instance: If you wanted to do the following in something like PHP (just because PHP is easy as fuck): variable x equals 4 if variable x equals 3 then output "3 is the answer" if variable x does not equal 3 then output "the answer is not 3" This is obviously in not a language, but you can look up every step, to get the following: $x=4; if ($x==3) { echo "3 is the answer"; } else { echo "the answer is not 3"; } Basically what I am saying in a way too long of a post is fucking just dive in, come up with a plan, then look up and study how to do it. For me, books were useless and the content taught in them you would forget or need to reference anyways. I initially got into Python by downloading a module for a tool I was using and pretty much altered everything about it, through doing that, you learn quite a bit. Reading everything in CodeAcademy or your favorite language reference site is a waste of time, because you will never retain all of the information you need, and you will eventually end up just needing to go back anyways to reference it again. If your interested in Python, I googled something quick and got: https://wiki.python.org/moin/SimplePrograms Go find a program in there that strikes your fancy, and change the shit out of it. When you actually get some languages under your belt, join an open source project, you will get great experience, contacts, and a place to build your portfolio.
