vVv Gaming is proud to present the return of the Supersonic Series!  Unique game nights each week will allow Teams and individual Rocketeers to bring their A game and level up their gaming skills!  Whether the goal is to improve teamwork, find suitable opponents, or just acquire valuable feedback on how to improve one’s gameplay, these events will accomplish just that!   Changes from Season 2 It is time to change your schedules! We are now moving days to better accommodate NA players wishing to compete in other tournaments. The Draft will be now on Monday, Showdown on Wednesday, and Saturday nights will now be 2v2 tournaments! We’ve also partnered with Rocket League Central, so Wednesday nights now factor into Power Ranking!   We have also made a document with all of the rules which we request ALL participants to look over in order to have the most positive experience in the Supersonic Series.   The Supersonic Series Rules & Regulations can be found by clicking on this link   NOW ONTO THE GOOD STUFF!   Season 3 starts on Monday, June 6th, 2016   The very first tournament, on June 6th, will be an open tournament that we are calling a "Kick Off".  With this kick off tournament we are hoping to raise awareness of Supersonic Series to all rocketeers.  Tournament will be streamed on our twitch channel, twitch.tv/livevvvgaming and we invite you all to come and watch what we hope to be a really awesome tournament!     Supersonic Draft When: Every Monday night starting at 9:00 PM EST (6:00 PM PST) Checkins start at 8:30 PM EST and close at 8:50 PM EST. You will have to perform these steps for each game night that you participate in.  Players with the highest solo ranking will be elected as captains and will pick players that they want on their team. Captains will take turns picking their members in a “snake-style” (A, B, C, C, B, A) draft until all teams have 3 players each. Participating with friends is encouraged, however there is no guarantee that you will be on the same team. The captain’s name will be entered into the bracket and will be used to represent their team. Upon being selected onto a team, administrator will move you to appropriate channel. Channels will be renamed after team captains. 1. See all of you squares there! PAX HYPE INITIATE
  2. Who do I talk to for pve in GW2?

  3. Oh hi, I briefly crossed paths with you while you were bein all sassy. I like to be sassy too. Wow, we have so much in common. Okay, bye.
  4. What made you decide to reapply? Also, what is ICT? What do you do outside of gaming and school? Enjoy your stay and hopefully inactivity won't grab a hold of you once again :3 Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns! <3
  5. Thanks! I'm always stoked when the ADL starts up again. Fun times, indeeeeed.
  6. Score sheet is live! (Click here) TL;DR: We begin May 6th @9pm EST/6pm PST TeamSpeak Server: ts65.gameservers.com:9222 (NO PASSWORD) Click Here to Learn How to set up TeamSpeak Start Time: 9pm EST/6pm PST every Friday and Sunday How to Participate: Literally all you have to do is show up! Get into our TeamSpeak BEFORE 9pm EST (10-15 minutes), go into the channel Amateur Draft League, then wait for further instruction! NOTE: Anyone can play, regardless of Solo Q rank, as long as you're Level 30 and have at least 16 champions to participate in Custom Tournament Draft. Salutations current/future ADL participant! Season 9 of our renowned League Tournament will begin on Friday, May 6th. We resume our regular schedule with games being organized every Friday and Sunday at 9pm EST (6pm PST). The big issue we are looking to tackle this season is participation. , specifically finding and bringing more cool people to the ADL. As usual, this means we are making a few structural changes to the tournament: We are increasing the participation bonus to reward and give incentive to those who show up more often. We will be actively recruiting on off-nights on our TeamSpeak. If you'd like to come hang out and help bring in people feel free to join us. The more the merrier! Given how difficult it is for some players to get picked, we are looking for volunteers who are willing to show up every night and sit out if needed to have an even number of participants. This will give newer- and lower-ranked players a better shot at actually getting to play, while also moving the burden of getting left out to those who actually don't mind. Volunteers who don't get included in the draft that night are free to do whatever they'd like after the draft starts (we don't ask you to be available as a ringer or anything), which should provide an opportunity for our pool of volunteers to play together in a more casual setting or just play some ranked instead Unrelated to participation, but also requested, we will be changing the draft pick order for captains on a nightly basis to balance team selections and hopefully create more meaningful, evenly-matched games. One final change worth mentioning, Riot has apparently changed their policy regarding online prizing for tournaments. We will still be applying for prizes, however, we may have to determine an alternative method of acquiring prizes if we are unable to get our event approved (I'll make a really convincing case though). Read the explanations below if you're new! How the Amateur Draft League works: There will be two matches (BO1) per night, so DO NOT LEAVE AFTER THE FIRST GAME IS OVER! Show up in TeamSpeak a little before 9pm EST on Sunday or Friday (about 10-15 minutes works). Right click your name in the TeamSpeak client, click "Change Description", and enter your: Summoner Name, Solo Q Rank, Top 3 positions that you would like to play (or a position you absolutely cannot play), Click "OK". Move into the Amateur Draft League (Click for Rules!) channel to hang out with everyone until 9 PM EST when the draft starts. Move to the channel that correlates with your current Solo Q rank under Skill Sorting Hat after being asked by the tournament admins. If you're currently unranked, go based off of what you were last season. If you were unranked last season too, move to bronze you scrubby scrublord! You can attend any night you want; you're not required to follow any type of schedule. If you do show up to play, you ARE required to play BOTH of your games for the night. If you have a level 30 account with at least 16 champions unlocked on the NA server, all you have to do to play is show up! You don't have to sign up anywhere or do anything beforehand. There is no minimum Solo Q rank requirement. Have questions? Hit up vVv Medusa or vVv Organicbear! How the Draft and Matchmaking Works: The highest ranked players that show up for a given night are deemed team captain for THAT NIGHT ONLY! Team Captains will begin drafting their team out of the remaining players (pick order will be determined based on who shows up). An admin will move people who are picked into their team's channel. An admin will also give each team their first matchup after the draft is done. First match will go in alphabetical order, i.e. Alpha vs Bravo, Charlie vs Delta, Echo vs Foxtrot, etc. After all games from round 1 have finished, an admin will give the second match if needed. Match 2 is always winners vs winners, losers vs losers. In the event of an odd number of winners and losers, the winning team with the lowest-ranked captain will face the losing team with the highest-ranked captain. After Each Game: Once teams are drafted, you will play a total of TWO GAMES (repeated for emphasis). After a game, the winners of the match will move into the same channel as the opposing team for a voluntary feedback session. Each player will be given the opportunity to ask for feedback on how they played during the game. Once you're done with BOTH games and your feedback sessions, you're welcome to leave, start inhouses, find someone to Duo Q with, or anything else you'd like to do! Official ADL Rules: You will need to have a minimum of 8 games total played in the ADL (so 4 total nights) to qualify for prizes (if any are to be awarded). Captain and Team Assignment: Captains will be the highest ranked players in attendance with one captain per 5 attendees. If a player is uncomfortable being captain, or is unfamiliar with the player pool, the captain may use the first pick to select someone who would then draft the rest of the team. The lowest ranked captain will be seeded at Alpha and then it will go in ascending order with the highest rated player on either Delta, Foxtrot or Hotel depending on the number of total players. In order to prevent captains with similar skill levels from suffering a disadvantage due to slight difference in solo queue rank, captain pick order will be randomized within the following tiers: Platinum 5-3 Platinum 1 and 2 Diamond 5-3 Diamond 2-1 < 50 LP Diamond 1 >= 50 LP Master Challenger Matchmaking: In order to have more even matches, we will be matching teams in alphabetical order for the first match, with winners playing winners and losers playing losers in the second match (randomized by the list randomizer at Random.org if needed). If there is an odd number of winning and losing teams after the first match, the highest-ranked captain from the loser's pool will play the lowest-ranked captain from the winner's pool. Picking Order: First, captains are selected and assigned a team designation, then four rounds of picking commences. Pick order will be determined each night based on any obvious skill disparities among captains and the number of remaining high-elo players available to be drafted. Hosting and Side Choice: For Game 1, Blue side will be assigned to the team closer to A alphabetically. For example, in Echo vs Foxtrot, Echo is blue side since E comes before F alphabetically. For Game 2, Blue side will be assigned to the lower-ranked captain (or the losing team in the case of a winner vs loser match). Pausing/Connection Issues: Pauses may be done as necessary. If someone disconnects or is having lag issues, standard procedure is to state the problem in all chat and then pause the game. The integrity of the match is the standard. Each team will be allowed 7.5 minutes of pause time for lag and disconnection issues, and teams may use both of their times (up to 15 minutes) on a single player/issue if needed. If an issue occurs before two minutes or first blood, the game can be remade with no penalty to either side. Leaving/AFK: If a player is having connection issues that cannot be resolved, rage quits, or inexplicably leaves the game, that player will be given a 2 night event suspension on the first offense and a season ban on the second offense. We want players who are willing to commit to the designated two games and want ensure that we do not welcome those who are careless or are willfully hostile toward the experience of their teammates and opponents. A substitute will be found if there are any games remaining that need to be played or a match is remade. Replacement/Substitute Players: If a player does need to be replaced, the sub will be required to be of the same solo queue rank or lower. Extenuating circumstances can be made for up to 3 tiers up (Gold 4 being replaced by a Gold 1) but never higher than a division and only with the consent of the opposing teams captain and only if finding a player equal to or lower is unavailable. If a substitute is unable to be located, the team with the missing player will forfeit the game. Are you excited about the beginning of Season 8? Should we have made any other changes? Be sure to communicate with us!! If you have questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions, contact Organicbear or Medusa and we'll be more than happy to help you <3 (srsly, with anything at all... except math). See you on May 6th at 9pm EST (6pm PST) for the Amateur Draft League!! ADL Staff: vVv Organicbear vVv Medusa
  7. Not sure what Pretzl told you, but we're currently not sponsoring teams so there would be no "official" traveling to record any of our teams playing or that kind of thing. Maybe he meant you personally traveling with him to local LANs in the UK and doing your own thing? Not sure since, like I said, we currently don't have teams and we don't really do EU things anyways EITHER WAY! I watched a couple of your videos and I wish I could see more of a type of short film/documentary type of thing from you. A lot of your shots seem to be a "see what I see" rather than a "look guys, I'm filming stuff!" That's meant to be a compliment; I enjoy that style. Also, the quality on your new camera is very nice, you made a good investment! The only thing I can really say I dislike it that is looks like you put some type of filters over your video. If you don't, then my apologies, I am using f.lux so that might contribute to it haha. But yeah! I'd really love to see what else you're capable of. Do you also do your own video editing? Maybe you should go to a local LAN yourself, maybe get a few interviews, maybe do a "mini documentary" kind of thing... I'd love to see that ;3
  8. Now they just need to remake MW2 for the XB1.... :|
  9. Closed, I sent you a message on Facebook with details about this decision. Feel free to message me either there or on here if you have any questions.
  10. What kind of outdoor activities do you enjoy? I just love being outside in general (when it's warm... I can't stand being cold </3) but swimming and going through nature paths, botanical gardens, zoos, and stuff like that are probably my favorites. Also, what instruments do you play? How did you get started with them? I played the violin for about 10 years but traded my violin in for a cello in the past year or so. I was always more attracted to the sound of the cello more so than the violin and I was finally like "I'm an adult that can pay for an instrument and lessons, so I'm just gonna do it!". Did learning to play any specific instruments influence what kind of music you're interested in? Being in orchestra for so long made me develop an intense love for classical and opera. Be sure to come hang out in TeamSpeak with myself and some of our other LoL people! We'll get you leveled up <3 You can find where to download TS, how to set it up, and our server information through this link. Let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything!!
  11. I had gotten the SteelSeries Sensei RAW to review and I had it for nearly 5 years before I had to retire it as well </3 My scroll wheel just decided it didn't want to do things the way they needed to be done. I'd get stuck 100% zoomed it and unable to zoom out in some games. So now I have their Diablo 3 mouse with the rubberized surface that I loved so much from my RAW :3 I love their products ~sigh~
  12. You're 14?! danggg son! Hopefully you're considered mature for your age by the people who know you best ;3 but welcome to vVv Gaming! Make sure to get yourself involved with our Rocket League community! Have you browsed around the RL forums yet? It's linked right here in case you haven't. vVv Bagzli, vVv Saturn, and a few other people run an event called the Supersonic Series (details on the event and how to join are linked right here!) and that's a great way to play with everyone! If you don't want to start out by playing in a huge event, here's the link to the Rocket League Steam group! We also have a TeamSpeak server that you can come into at any time and there are usually people just chilling and playing games at all times of the day/night. You can find where to download TeamSpeak, how to set it up, and all of our server information through this link! Unfortunately we don't have a CS:GO side of the community. There are people who will play it occasionally though so just ask around if you're wanting your FPS itch to get scratched In your app, you said that you're one of the more "reflect on my mistakes" kinda person to help you get better. Do you record your games and watch them later to see what you did wrong or do you literally just sit and try to remember what you did wrong? Or do you use a different process? Let me know if you have any questions. If I can't help you myself, I can direct you to someone who can. I hope you enjoy your stay! <3
  13. I WISH you would be more active around here I know you just messaged me the other day about how you'll be inactive for a few days but I'm referring to when you're actually here. With how much value your stat sheet has been adding (it's super helpful and everyone loves it since it's something everyone has been wanting for awhile and you did it without even having to be asked), I feel like you would've been interviewed and accepted already if you were just more involved. Are you working weird hours or have any IRL stuff interfering with how active you are or how much time you can dedicate to "extracurricular activities"? Obviously if you don't want to post about it publicly you can PM the Bear and me <3
  14. I guess this guy's aight.
  15. What Pherzghul said. I do want to add something though: don't choose a certain career just because "it's easy". You should pursue something that you would want to do every day for a large majority of your life and it shouldn't be something that you don't care for just because it's "easy". Doing something because it's "easy" won't make you happy, it won't make you want to keep improving so you will be the best in your field, it won't make you inspire people with your passion for what you do. Even if you know you enjoy both areas and could see both as possible careers, I would still try to find the one that you enjoy more. Look at some websites or companies that you would consider to be your "dream" place to work. Look through their open positions, compare between multiple companies, see which position is in higher demand, stuff like that. You can also read the "What you will do" section of each listing to see which sound more interesting and like something that you could envision yourself doing. Hope this helps
