Thanks for taking the time to read my first official update since I've come back. After a lot of conversations with staff, community, sponsors, applicants and alumni, it was time to set a direction for vVv for the next 12 months. We want to be transparent with everyone, so you can hold me accountable for working toward these goals. This reflects our commitment to help YOU create awesome community experiences. When I give interviews, I make sure every member knows: "Ask not what vVv can do for you, but what you can do for vVv." As I stated above, vVv Gaming is YOUR community. Staff is here to help YOU make it awesome. Once again, this is YOUR community. We're here to help YOU shape, develop and grow vVv. We've made numerous changes to staff. Here is where we ended up: Application Experience Manager and Forum Admin: vVv SugarBear (Facebook) (Twitter) Business Development Director and Co-Owner: vVv RobZ (Facebook) (Twitter) CoD Community Manager: vVv B Easy (Facebook) (Twitter) LoL Community Manager: vVv C Wide (Facebook) (Twitter) Lead Designer: vVv Pherzghul (Facebook) (Twitter) Lead Web Developer: vVv Bagzli (Twitter) Organized Play Product Manager: vVv NaturaL (Twitter) HotS Organized Play Associate: vVv Saturn (Facebook) (Twitter) LoL Event Manager and Forum Admin: vVv Medusa (Facebook) ( Twitter) LoL Organized Play Associate: vVv Unverclopt (Facebook) (Twitter) (LoLKing) Team Experience Manager: vVv Bardo (Facebook) (Twitter) Coach, mentor, helper and he who shits upon bad kids: vVv LordJerith (Facebook) (Twitter) MISSION (for 2015-2016) "CREATE AWESOME EXPERIENCES FOR COMPETITIVE GAMERS" (for 2015-2016) GOALS have the highest rated organized play events as rated by competitive gamers have the most attended organized play events highest rated is more important than most attended be recognized as one of the best competitive gaming organizations in the world as rated by competitive gamers and our members be known as a talent factory by competitive gamers and sponsors STRATEGY create and run organized play events for competitive gamers sponsor and develop amateur teams to participate in and promote organized play events partner and deliver value to sponsors that create products and services for competitive gamers create and evolve an identity that competitive gamers want create and manage a clear path for competitive gamers who want our identity create and manage an ecosystem that develops competitive gamers and future gaming professionals EXECUTION AND TACTICS We now know where this big vVv Gaming ship is headed. We all know the mission. We know the objectives and goals we want to achieve, and we have strategies that tell us how to achieve these goals. This is actually the easy part. Now comes the hard part. Each of the strategic items above will need executions and tactics. EXECUTIONS are what is done to deliver on or to coordinate a strategy. EXECUTIONS are products and services and experiences we deliver to help us execute our strategy that will help us achieve our goals to accomplish our mission. TACTICS are actions taken to achieve our strategy. For example, the League of Legends Amateur Draft League (LoL ADL) is an EXECUTION (Product/Service) that helps us achieve our strategic objective of “create and run organized play events for competitive gamers.” How we set up the Mumble channels and how we name them are TACTICS. As a vVv community member or applicant your EXECUTIONS should include: Recruiting good community members Engaging with applicants Supporting vVv on social media (Facebook) (Twitter) Being active in our forums, shoutbox & Mumble/XBL/ PS4 I hope this post helps everyone know who is accountable for what, and what we are focused on. I would love and appreciate any feedback, thoughts and/or suggestions. It's YOUR community, we're here to help YOU make it awesome.

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago we talked about our returned focus on esports and now we are happy to announce our first in many steps towards a return to the competitive promise land. vVv Gaming is excited to announce that we have signed The Flying V to represent us in Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Counter Strike has long been the center of the computer first person shooter scene and the latest iteration of the game has fostered huge growth in the community. Having been around since the late 1990's, CS is really now just reaching the epitome of its competitive potential. Between the betting community, CS:GO lounge and the massive growth that CSGO has seen in the past couple of months (including MLG Aspen at the X-Games, MLG partnering with CEVO for season 7 and IEM Katowice having over 1 million concurrent viewers) and the interest from the community in the game and support a team, we are really excited to begin working with and supporting the team! The team consists of Funshine, Dynamo, Jay, No_one and Fade. The team recently went to Fragadelphia 4 and were able to secure a 2nd place finish on the weekend. They were able to shock the entire event by defeating professional team Luminosity in the winners final, but ultimately fell in a closely contested best of 5 grand final. Still, their performance had the entire event cheering for them, with audible duck calls being heard from the crowd whenever they won a round. They have been able to inspire many CS:GO players to believVve in the Quack and plan on continuing to make noise! The team will be representing vVv in the ESEA premier league, and are currently one game away from qualifying for the CEVO season 7 professional division, which now boasts MLG as one of their partners. They will be playing on Monday night and only need to win one more game before they qualify! Make sure to tune in and be quacking for them in chat! Statement from Cam "vVv Sun Down" McGrory, Vice President of Operations at vVv Gaming: Statement from Gary "vVv Funshine" Laurita, Captain of team, on joining vVv: vVv Gaming CS:GO Roster: Team captain and AWPer: Gary "vVv Funshine" Laurita | @vVv_Funshine In Game Leader: Bradley "vVv Dynamo" Knill | @vVvDYNAMO Objective and Team Support: Luc "vVv FADE" Dang | @vVv_FADE Crazy Frenchman and Entry Fragger: Jérôme "vVv Jayy" Tessier-Thériault | @vVv_jayy Jack of All Trades: Matthew "vVv No_one" Congdon | @vVv_no_one

Hey everyone! It's been a long time since we've really had any kind of official statement on our goals as an organization and community. It has been evident that people are hungry for vVv to become active in esports again and for us to pick up competitive teams for you guys to unite behind. This is going to be a massive undertaking and if we want to maximize what we can do with teams, we need this to be a full community effort. This includes but is not limited to helping identify teams in need of sponsorship, engaging with them on the forums and in game, supporting their matches whenever live streamed (We BelievVve should be constantly in the twitch chat). We are also sensitive to the fact that just picking up any team will not provide a compelling experience for the community. We want the teams to engage with the community we have here. The vision of teams and community working together will most certainly level up both the community experience and the level of competition in esports. What follows is a list of games where we are actively looking for teams to represent us. If you have any teams that you think would be a good fit for vVv, I encourage you to contact staff in some way as you guys are our best resources in your respective communities. Also, if there is a team or game that you think we should be looking to invest in let us know so we can investigate further! Games where we are actively looking for teams: Call of Duty League of Legends Smite CS:GO Talent we need on staff to support this effort CS:GO Team Manager CS:GO Division Leader Smite Team Manager Smite Division Leader Editor in Chief or Division-Specific Content Managers Esports Writer Video Content Creators With this new focus on investing in esports, there are tons of new opportunities to get involved with the community. This includes writers to do interviews and event coverage, video editors to collaborate with team members on creating content, people to reach out to new sponsors, team management positions and Division staff jobs/leaders (for branching out into the new games). So for all of you that want to "help" here is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty. If you guys have any questions please feel free to post them below or send a private message. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions please email us- jobs@vVv-Gaming.com What type of teams are we looking for: As previously stated, just signing a team and having them compete under vVv is not going to create instant success. Therefore, we are looking for teams that fill the following criteria: Will represent vVv Gaming according to the standards set in the 5 pillars and live these values as their own. The competitive standard we are looking to pursue are teams either with pro status within their respective game, or right on the cusp of it that have the competitive desire to progress as a complete team. These teams should also be able to demonstrate stability and maintain the same roster for multiple months or longer. Should be excited to invest back into vVv. This includes doing community events, being active on the website and mumble, and really making community engagement a priority. Strong personalities and streamers. We want to be able to tell the team's story and showcase them as much as possible. Streaming is a huge bonus (and if you have a streamer who you think we should invest in because of his stream let us know that too) With a full community effort we can accomplish great things in esports. If you have any questions feel free to post below or shoot me a private message. You guys wanted to go back to being competitive, so buckle up and put your foot to the pedal because as Ricky Bobby once said, "If you're not first, you're last" and I think it's about damn time that vVv returned to first. Hey everyone, I wanted to update you on something we have discovered that has effected everyone's ADL experience: our site-wide ban on Reddit. So, why was vVv Gaming.com banned? We have been banned for several reasons. I want you to understand why, so that we all become better citizens of the internet. Reasons: members/staff actively engaged in vote brigading. It's when a group of people get together to up vote the same thing, be it a single person, or a group of people representing something. It's just not fair, and hurts what Reddit is all about at it's core. If our events are good or appealing, people will organically upvote the events. Period. Former member, Sundown, who is now IP banned from our site, did two unforgivable things: He basically crossed too many lines in his rage against certain Reddit moderators He used my position at Riot Games to gain clout and attempt to bully Reddit moderators. This was personal. No one should ever do anything like this, ever. Period. What are we going to do about it? We are not going to post Reddit links in the Shoutbox or forums to upvote. Go to Reddit and find the links as anyone would, by your normal Reddit use. We have removed Cam from vVv, and made sure all staff are trained on this C Wide has been working to rebuild our relationship with the moderators. As you already know, if you get caught doing this, expect to be banned use /r/summonerschool and /r/leagueofleglends normally, get involved and be a good Reddit member Finally, our apology to Reddit: I want to apologize to the Reddit moderators and the community for this behavior. It's clear in my absence that a lot of things were not going well, but this topped the cake. Regardless, I'm the owner, and I take full responsibility for this. vVv Gaming is committed to be good citizens of the internet, particularly Reddit. You have my sincere apology and a sincere pledge to make things right.

With Jerry returning to vVv to run things again, my time as President of vVv has come to a close. I wanted to take some time to reflect on how things went. Primarily I feel like I failed vVv in a lot of ways. The ADL stagnated due to my mismanagement and failure to keep people pushing toward excellence. The CoD division was on life support for way too long. As a whole I didn't effectively execute on my vision for making vVv Gaming an awesome place for competitive gamers. Primarily there were certain personal things holding me back from executing on my vision. The main two were my self-awareness with how I handled my working relationships and my inability to focus. I looked for all kinds of ways to increase my productivity, reading up on things like prioritizing, focusing on your mission, having a clear idea of what it is that you want to accomplish, but none of that addressed the core problem: I was just getting distracted by everything and unable to focus when it came time to do the big, important work. I wasn't lacking a strategy, I was lacking discipline. With my working relationships, I was acting like a complete ass to people without even realizing it. I didn't take the time to re-read what I was writing, or think about how I was coming across to people, and the ways I tried to approach people to "help" them made me come across as a bureaucratic authority who's only help was to tell people "no" or "do things my way". Obviously these two flaws are going to prevent anyone from being a good, let alone great leader. Thankfully Jerry was able to help me regain my focus and also help me raise my self awareness within just two weeks of returning. In the past two weeks I've gotten more accomplished, felt better about myself and my future, and improved the way I handle my relationships more than any time in the past 9 years. I've even started looking at some difficult problems I've been facing personally and just by asking myself "What would Jerry tell me?" I can usually figure out the best way to proceed and handle things. So now I just need to return to my vision and remember why it's so compelling for me. As a kid I had to go through some real difficulty trying to figure out how to be gay and in love with someone who would never return that feeling. It's deeply important to me that no one should have to go through life facing difficult challenges without feeling like there is someone there who can help them. I think that within the larger gaming community there are endless opportunities to fulfill that mission. Don't like the way you look? Cosplay as your favorite game character. Bullied at school? Go online and find people who love you just because you share a passion for the same game as they do. Giving up on your dreams? Volunteer your time doing amazing things for the larger gaming community and develop marketable skills to work in or outside of the gaming industry. There is so much good that we can do together, and I am passionate about making the world a better place than the one I had to grow up in. I sometimes wonder how many people there were in the world when I was growing up who gave up on their dreams to live a normal life. How many hours spent watching TV that could have been spent changing peoples' minds about homosexuality? How many hours spent in closeted sex clubs or on seedy hookups that could have been spent coming out and leading the LBGT awareness movement? How many desperate, needy relationships that distracted people from opening places where LGBT youth could come for help? Not that no one should watch TV, or people should never hookup, or that people shouldn't find love, but what was the real cost to the world when this becomes the focus of a life instead of a way to enhance it? How many suicides could have been prevented? How much bullying could have been stopped? And it's not just LGBT who have difficult challenges. Everyone has a closet. How many people feel like they have no one to turn to for help when the burden of hiding inside of it becomes overwhelming? How much of a better world could we create for all of humanity if we just took the time to focus on each other? I aspire to be as good as Jerry at finding, identifying, and communicating what people need in order to go from struggling to successful. And I look forward to creating an awesome community for all competitive gamers here over the next few months, and wherever life takes me I will continue on this mission for the rest of my life. If you feel the same way then come join me and let's make this awesome together.

I’m taking things personally. It’s been a historic couple of weeks. Friday was a historic day. It started for me with the President’s eulogy for the Rev. Clementa Pinkney and ended with the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of gay marriage. Yesterday, got me thinking. Actually, it got me feeling. It’s a feeling I haven’t had in a long time. The last time I had this feeling was in 1989. I was in Orlando, Florida getting ready to graduate from Naval Nuclear Propulsion School. I was watching the Berlin wall fall. It marked, for me, the end of the Cold War. I felt optimistic. Having spent many summers in Germany visiting my relatives on my mother’s side, it was also strangely personal. It was that unique feeling of history happening to me versus history happening around me. History doesn’t always feel personal. The tragedy of September 11th didn’t feel personal. I remember being angry and disappointed, but I didn’t feel it personally. Friday’s events, however, felt very personal. As I mentioned earlier, it started with the president’s eulogy. Although I’m an atheist, I was moved by the president’s comments about grace. He spoke about the violent act and how it sits in a long history of bombs and arson and shots fired at churches. He spoke about how the killer imagined he would incite fear and recrimination; violence and suspicion. What the killer didn’t understand was the grace surrounding that Bible study group. According to the Christian tradition, grace is not earned. Grace is not merited. It’s not something we deserve. From my understanding, grace is the free and benevolent favor of God as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. The president specifically mentioned that this terrible tragedy allowed us to see where we’ve been blind. He mentioned that despite our rancor and complacency, our shortsightedness and fear of each other, we still received grace. Grace in the form of awareness that the Confederate flag is much more than just ancestral pride, but is actually a reminder of systemic oppression and racial subjugation. It’s clear that this flag will finally fall. Much like the Berlin wall fell. I felt hopeful. Amazingly, the hope train would continue to chug along on this particular Friday. The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold gay marriage across the land was a very special kind of hopeful vindication. It was an exoneration. People were set free, free to lay claim to a historic and ancient institution: marriage. Yeah, this is personal. From “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” to the Christian Right’s efforts to paint gays and lesbians as pedophiles, not fit to parent and certainly not deserving of the right to marry to the bullying, insults and abuses aimed at gays and lesbians, it’s been a long road. That road has had many highs and lows. For me, the highs have always been about the people. While in the Navy, I spent a decade in Virginia. During that time, while serving in the U.S. Navy, I was surrounded by an amazingly open, welcoming and loving gay community. It was there that I learned to become a gay man: to wear that identity with pride, to learn the history that I was never taught in school and then to discover an amazing culture and legacy. Thankfully, the lows for me were few and far between. They were there. It was always in small moments. For those of you who know me well, it’s safe to say that I’m direct and confident. Having spent a decade being a consultant, I often need to establish credibility with executives who I really don’t know in a matter of one or two minutes. In my most recent job, that approach created a very unique situation. I’d been on the job for only a few months when I had discovered a coworker had come up with a very interesting theory. The coworker described my behavior as a “byproduct of me being gay in the military.” She had observed similar confidence in her uncle who was gay. Therefore, she concluded that all gay men who served in the military had to be overly confident and direct to make up for their insecurities about being gay. And there it was, one of those frustrating, little moments, where another person’s ignorance, like nails on a chalkboard to my rational mind, reminded me of the perceptions that we still need to overcome. I remember coming home that night and telling the story to Jordan, who at the time was just my “domestic partner." We were not allowed to marry back in 2012. We both laughed about it. Yet, it happened. One of those small moments of awareness. Awareness that ignorance and prejudice still existed. In 2013, the great state of California allowed Jordan and I to become married. Of course, I knew that our marriage wouldn’t be recognized everywhere. Somehow, it wasn’t important. It really wasn’t important until yesterday. Yesterday, I realize the depth of the problem with hate, bigotry and ignorance. You see, I had accepted that my marriage was only valid in California. Almost the same way many whites “accept” the Confederate flag is a symbol of ancestral pride. I had become complacent. Hard to confess that, strangely. It’s almost that I had allowed a truth to disappear. [side note: Don't let anyone tell you that the truth can't disappear. If I believe in anything, rather than God, it is that I am part of something that goes all the way back to Antigone, and that whatever speaks the truth of our hearts can only make us stronger. Can only give us the power to counter the hate and bigotry and heal this addled world. Just remember: You are not alone.---R.I.P. Paul Monette] Of course, the good fight is far from over. There is so much more work to do. Hate, ignorance and misinformation still exist everywhere. Hate is still taught from one generation to another. Friday’s events are actually a call to action. We all need to take these things very seriously. Each of us has the power to make a difference. By being a little more vigilant, a little more outspoken, by being, dare I say, direct and confident by standing up to those who speak out of ignorance or hate, we can make a difference. As one flag falls, I’m optimistic that another is rising in its place, but this time a flag that celebrates diversity and inclusiveness. I for one am taking it all personally-too personally, in fact. You see, I don't really have the choice to ignore it, because it's happening on my watch.

    My vVv Gaming Plan

I'll keep this brief, my plan for vVv Gaming is as follows, the community needs to be built up again. Yes people are on Discord but we have a website for a reason, I want both being utilized. I want apps flowing in, everyone playing with them, helping them with any questions they may have about vVv Gaming including myself. I want vVv Gaming promoted heavily on social media. I will build a strong staff, will start out small as right now we're building vVv back up again, as we grow I'll asses the needs for a bigger staff then. vVv Gaming has not gone anywhere, always been here but fact is for the past few years this site has been dead. That stops with me, we're not a PC organization, we've always been a multiplatform organization and will remain that way on Xbox, PS4 and PC. I have vVv LordJerith helping me with the home page being cleaned up, as well as running maintenance on the forums. vVv LordJerith and I are focusing on the community right now, I want mature people in this organization, I will not babysit and I will not put up with any BS posts wise or in the SB. You've got a three strike rule, after three strikes you're gone from vVv Gaming, idc if you've been in vVv Gaming ten days or ten years, this goes for apps as well you're not above anyone. I am cleaning the site up daily, once I get a staff assembled that will be much easier, as of right now I am the only one doing it. Competitive gaming, I'd like to look into that in the future, speaking on the Xbox side of things, that will come with time, vVv DeathsGrasp has the PC side of things ie Rocket League as that game is huge on PC. Mine and vVv LordJerith's main focus at this moment and for the foreseeable future is the community. All of us are grown, have jobs and can't devote 24 hours a day to gaming. We all have stressful lives and I want vVv Gaming to be a place where we all can come and have an escape, people to interact with and play with. I look forward to the future, I look forward to watching vVv grow more and more each day and getting back to the glory days of our pure domination in all aspects.

    State of vVv Gaming

Hello vVv Gaming! I am Scott aka vVv Exodus, I have been in vVv Gaming since 2007. I am one of the original members of this amazing organization. I am 37 years old and work in the mortgage industry. I wanted to update the community on the state of vVv Gaming, I spoke at length today with vVv LordJerith. Him and I agreed on the direction we want to take vVv Gaming in, all of you will see a lot of changes coming soon. I am going to get this organization back to the way it was when I was first brought into it, a lot of activity on the forums, Discord etc. I will be cleaning up the website, I will also be looking at all current vVv Gaming members to see if they're active or not. A strong community is key, that's the foundation that's always made this place special. Applications are open, same 90 day process is still in place as it's always been. I want people in vVv Gaming that are active and want to be here and contribute, it's a privilege to wear the vVv's, I don't want just anyone wearing them. I will post more later, mainly wanted to introduce myself and give everyone an update. vVv DeathsGrasp is still the President of vVv Gaming, I back him in all matters and that's not up for debate. With him and I righting the ship, we will have vVv Gaming back to the glory days very, very soon. Feel free to contact me anytime, PM me on here, Discord or message me on XBL my GT is vVv Exodus. Thank you, vVv Exodus

    Introducing the vVv Xbox Division

For the past 8 years, vVv has been an exciting and successful part of the competitive console scene. With Top 4 LAN finishes in many titles, it is our goal to grow the best competitive gaming organization, pushing to enhance the skill and reputation of our members and teams. vVv not only has an addiction for competitive gaming, but also winning with dignity, class and respect. We look forward to the next generation of vision, valor and most importantly, victory. With the recent release of Smite along with the future releases of Gears of War reboot and Halo 5, we formed a "Xbox Division." This competitive Xbox Division will be a place for gamers to show their passion for competitive console gaming without being solely focused on one title (i.e, CoD). We are confident this will help applicants and members have more flexibility as they explore all these new upcoming titles and also help grow vVv as a whole. Most vVv members and applicants manage their XBL friends list with players from different games, and we wanted our division to reflect how members and applicants actually game. As with any change, as things progress, we look forward to hearing feedback from members and applicants. This is your chance to get involved in a process that will help change competitive console gaming in vVv. If you have any games you would like vVv to support, we are open to listening to why you think we should support it. We want to strive to stay competitive, but at the same time be mindful of what the community would like to see. ~vVv B Easy ~Special thanks to JonMP

    Rebuilding the LoL Division

We hear you. Loudly and clearly.empty mumblepeople resignedlack of leadership in the divisionlack of accountability for membersI hear you. We fucked up. We're going to try and fix it. We can't change the past, but we can make the future better. So, I want to share the vision that I have for the League of Legends division. I believe, and I am asking you to tell me if I am wrong, that what you want is:a place that is fun and feels like your homea place where everyone knows you and accepts youfun events that allow you play with othersthe vVv tag to mean something. You want members who:are active and socialin gameon mumbleon the forumsinvested in the success of applicantsmake others feel welcomerecruit others to play with and help the division growsupport vVv on social mediaenjoy competition, but are not trying to go proAssuming the above is true, then I am making the following changes to the division:Bringing back vVv C Wide to run the vVv LoL DivisionADLs will be overseen by its own product manager, vVv NaturaLvVv Medusa vVv Unverclopt and vVv SugarBear will be handling applicants and running the LoL ADL I invite those of you who strayed away to give us a chance to make it better. Please reach out to vVv C Wide or myself, personally, if you have any questions or concerns. It's going to take some time to rebuild our credibility with some of you, but everyone mentioned above and myself are willing to put in that work. The first opportunity for people to come together will be the ADL this Sunday, July 26th. I also will hold an AMA right after the event. So, I'll be on Mumble, personally, and I invite current members, applicants, previous members and those thinking about applying to come to the AMA and ask questions. We have work to do, and it will take time. We're committed to fixing this. We can't change the past, but we're committed to making a very fun future for vVv Gaming's LoL division.

    Thank you!

I want say thank you. I want to take a brief moment to celebrate the success and contributions of 3 vVv members who took the toughest job. Thank you to: Jordan "Doomhammer" Kahn Robert "RobZ" Thompson Greg "Sugarbear" Milliken In the 3 years I have gone, all 3 have lead this great organization. Without them, there would not be a vVv Gaming today. Each one added their own particular style and focus to vVv Gaming. Jordan has gone on to be a Live Producer at RIot Games, Robert Thompson has gone on to be a Recruiter at Riot Games, but is thankfully still heavily involved with vVv Gaming. Greg is staying right here and going to be our new "Application Experience Manager." For those of you who have never lead, it is hard. You can never truly ever feel you got it right. When I think of leading, a quote by Theodore Roosevelt, a quote that used to sit on my desk when I was in the US Navy, often comes to mind. This is my way of saying thank you: These 3 men have all stepped into the arena. For that, I will always be grateful. With my upcoming return to vVv, you've all seen some changes start to happen. You will see more to follow.

vVv Gaming Returns to Call of Duty! With a last minute move before the upcoming UMG Ontario event, May 15th-17th, vVv Gaming makes its long over due return to professional Call of Duty with acquiring the roster of PHiZZURP, John, TwiZz, and SinfuL. The new vVv Gaming team will be in the 10th seed of the tournament and starting out in pool play. We are very excited to be back in Call of Duty, because we know that the vVv Gaming brand just doesn't feel the same without a strong console presence. After all, console Esports is where we are from. The Call of Duty franchise is one that has stood the test of time and vVv Gaming is an organization that has as well. We can date our roots back more than 7 years ago in the Call of Duty franchise. We have seen great success over the years in Call of Duty and we believe that this new roster of PHiZZURP, John, TwiZz, and SinfuL will just add to our past succes and surpass all expectations. We are so excited to watch them compete at a LAN event for the first time under the vVv Gaming name this Friday, May 15th UMG California, Ontario, CA May 15th-17th. vVv Gaming is proud to announce vVv Exodus as the new president of the organization! Working with Lordjerith and Deathsgrasp, who will be stepping down from his leadership role to focus on personal life, Exodus has outlined a plan for vVv that focuses on building the community around the modern gaming experience. "All of us are grown, have jobs and can't devote 24 hours a day to gaming. We all have stressful lives and I want vVv Gaming to be a place where we all can come and have an escape, and have people to interact with and play with." As he starts by cleaning up and revitalizing the website and forums, expect to see more activity here and on the vVv Discord server as the organization gains new momentum. A deep thank you to vVv Deathsgrasp for his previous leadership, and welcome to vVv Exodus!

    UMG Dallas Coverage

vVv Gaming's CoD team will gather together for UMG at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas this upcoming weekend, July 10th-12th. As it is the second-to-last UMG event of the season, the hype is real . It's also the first major LAN after the MLG Columbus relegation tournament, and that means a lot of new rosters. The event starts this Friday, July 10th at 5PM CST with pool play matches. If history serves us well, with vVv breaking into the winners bracket out of the consensus "Pool of Death" at UMG California back in May, the team has another tough road ahead and we're up for the challenge. Pool C (Pools subject to change up until day of event.) brings vVv face-to-face against Denial Esports, Team Kaliber, Isolation Esports, and a team TBD out of open bracket play. The two returning members of vVv, Phillip "Phizzurp" Kelemenov and Johnathan "John" Perez, will be joined by Tyler "Felony" Johnson and Damod "FEARS" Abney. Although the team has a very tough pool ahead of them, they're going into the event with confidence. Five Pillars of vVv Gaming

Value: Having members that are all adding value is a critical part of having a rich and vibrant community. There are many ways to add value: creating content for our partnered YouTube channel, having a strong social media presence with appropriate vVv Branding on your profile, being social on our forums and helpful to aspiring players and applicants to even just donating. To see the full list of ways to add value click here. If you are unsure of how you can add value, reach out to the community for help. Excellence: There are two ways to demonstrate excellence in vVv Gaming. The first way representing our brand and community professionally at major lan events. The second way is by being a passionate community member that excels at adding value to vVv Gaming. Diversity: vVv Gaming is a diverse community. This is our strength! vVv Gaming has people that come from various backgrounds and we openly embrace differences in race, national origin, age, disability, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion, sexual orientation, genetic information, political beliefs and gender. In order to get the most passionate and talented individuals, we want people to feel that they are part of a welcoming and accepting community. We also welcome people who are passionate about a variety of games, the key feature of vVv is our diverse community! No matter what games you play, we want you to feel welcome as a member of vVv Gaming. Instead of forming rivalries among the different games we play, we should be excited that we have such a varying group of people who can all come together as part of something great. That's what makes vVv Gaming such a fantastic place to be! Chain of Command: If you have a problem with someone, please talk to them directly and IN PRIVATE. Always start with the person that you are having the problem with. DO NOT bring it to the Shoutbox or post about your problem. If you can't resolve it, then bring it to staff. Sponsors: Just as you have to add value to vVv, so does vVv Gaming have to add value to its sponsors. In order for vVv Gaming to support the best gamers and provide our community with events, opportunities and contests, you need to show them that you care. Represent their products, promote them and spread the word by supporting their social media initiatives.

    New vVv Logo Design

I want to start by saying that we will change the logo. I think every logo change has resistance, and I appreciate that we won't make everyone happy. I am happy to those of you leaving constructive feedback, and I like the way it's moving. We'll get the original design files from the company since we have reached our maximum number of revisions, and ask @vVv Pherzghul if he'll make the final edits (maybe with and without the shield). Again, to those of you who said you like the old one, I hear you. Unfortunately, we have decided to change the logo, and your input to make it better is always welcome, but there is no need to ask for the old one anymore. Rock on! More good stuff to follow,

    vVv Mikeyy Passed Away

First would like to say sorry for necroing this post... but I have been deployed for the last 6 months and didnt get a chance to really mourn my friends passing. I went to school with Mikey and he was the one who introduced me to my first MMO, Gunz The Duel. Ever since then we played games together. We lost contact after graduation when I moved out of the state and went to basic. About a year or so before the accident Mikey had messaged me on facebook telling me about this amazing community that he had found and how he was trying his best to be accepted. He told me about all the great people he had met and the opportunities like the LAN he went to in Knoxville. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this post. Reading through here brought tears to my eyes. Again sorry for the necro just wanted to say my two cents worth.

vVv Gaming is proud to announce vVv Vishous King as our first ever streamer manager. I talked at length with him about this and he’s very excited about it. vVv Vishous King is a seasoned streamer himself and is a perfect fit for this role. His job will be managing all of our streamers, promoting them and giving them tips on how to grow as streamers, more importantly it’s to get vVv Gaming’s name out in the streaming world. This in turn will bring traffic to the site and hopefully new applications. I’m excited to have him on board, I look forward to seeing how it all pans out. Thank you Vish, best of luck! vVv Gaming’s New Policy

Hello vVv Gaming, I am implementing a new 90 day probationary period after you’re admitted into vVv Gaming. A lot of people will do all they can to get into vVv Gaming and once they do they become a ghost. For longtime members, all of you get a clean slate starting today. It’s simple, be active on the site and discord ,have fun and rep vVv Gaming well. If you want to be on discord only and think this site is from the stone age cool, you’ll be on discord 24/7 just not in vVv Gaming. vVv LordJerith wouldn’t have invested in a new site and logo if he wanted vVv Gaming to be discord only that’s what we call common sense. I want everyone active on the site and discord, it’s not a one way street, i.e. site only or discord only, IT’S BOTH. If after the 90 days are up and staff and I review your activity and it’s non existent then you’ll be dropped from vVv Gaming. I’m here to lead, a leader is loved and hated, I accept that. I want vVv Gaming stronger than ever, I want the old days back with the SB booming, lots of posts and everyone hearing about how awesome vVv Gaming is, checking us out and putting an application in. The new site and logo will be here soon, we’re all excited about that. If you’re an honorary member you’re safe, pop in time to time and say hello. If you’re military the 90 days doesn’t apply to you, you serve this country and we all owe you a lot of gratitude. Anyway, on to the future, I look forward to it and all of you amazing people making vVv Gaming what it used to be. Thank You, vVv Exodus

Is it just me, or does F look like a bird of prey swooping down to strike? Let's use that (version F) as the animal Buzz is looking for and combine it with version D. I think visually there's still too much going on with Buzz's shield right now, so something cleaner will look better.

Hello everyone, For those of you who do not know me. I was a vVv member from 2012 to 2015, I was a member of the Call of Duty Division, was the Call of Duty Assistant Manager for a point in time, and then left vVv Gaming when the esports efforts were not pushed as much as I would have liked; then I became the Esports Manager for Clan Lucky Strike before it was sold to Operation Supply Drop. After the sell to OSD, I had left CLS to return back to vVv Gaming to become the Business Development Coordinator, before effectively leaving vVv Gaming. I just recently came back to the vVv Forums after seeing a post about vVv looking to make a return in the esports community. After seeing so many familiar faces in the shoutbox and some of them repping the V's once more, I wanted to make a post to see where all the former vVv Members are at today. So with that being said..... Former vVv Members, even the ones who just recently got their V's back.... Where are you at today? Do you still game? What do you do for work? What platform do you mainly play on now? Did your time in vVv affect where you are at today? If so, then how? I will start.... Where am I at today? Well I am 24 about to turn 25 in March. Since my time in vVv, I have moved out of my parents house and into an apartment with my SO and 2 of our friends, where I have lived for the past 2 years. I have grown a lot since my time in vVv, and hopefully after talking with some old faces, that they can agree to that. I honestly am unsure what else to put here so this will be the last sentence haha. Do I still Game? Is the sky still blue? If you look at the sun will it make you blind? What type of question is this? Of course I still game. I game as much as I can nowadays which is not as much as I would like to, but that is what having a job and a life gets you. What platform do I mainly play on now? I mainly play on the PS4, but I do have a perfectly capable gaming PC to play on, but I do not have many people to game with on PC that much. Also I am in the market to buy a NZXT build PC but am currently debating on rather I want to drop 2K now... I also have a Switch to play Smash Brothers on.... Fight me. What do I do for work? After many years, I was able to turn my passion of gaming and esports into a career, and I am proud to say that I am the Operations Manager for OpTic Gaming now. Did your time in vVv affect where you are at today? If so, then how? Yes and 1000x again YES!! vVv was my starting point in esports. vVv gave me a platform to learn more about the esports industry, and with the help of Jerry, Doom, and Rob, I was able to take what I learned from vVv to propel me forward into other organizations which inevitably helped me land where I am at today, and honestly if it was not for vVv Gaming, I would not be where I am at today and for that I am forever thankful. So thats me!! So who will be next to go? I still #BelievVve there are many old faces lurking the forums...

Where am I today?: I'm 25, 26 in March. Happily engaged to my girlfriend of almost 3 years. Saving up to hopefully buy our first house by the end of the year. Do I still game?: not nearly as much as I'd like to, I get a few hours in every few days but with work and being an actual adult now I cant sink in the hours I used to What platform do I mainly play on now?: ps4 or PC mainly. My xbox collects dust. What do I do for work?: I'm a fraud analyst for a large UK bank. Did your time in vVv affect where you are at today? If so, then how? absolutely. I had many roles in the 2 stints I had in vVv, I was the assistant EU manager on my first stay where I learnt a lot of skills when it comes to dealing with people and leadership. When I came back to vVv a few years later I quickly became the assistant and then the CoD division manager. I took over with the division in a pretty poor state and I'd like to think i turned it i to the most successful period the division had. The skills i learnt then by working with the division and Jerry have been applied in my professional life and got me into the position I'm in now which I'm extremely grateful for.

    UMG Dallas 2015 Recap

TLDR: vVv performed better than predicted, but it didn't come easy. The weekend started off with close matches against ISO (lost 2-3) and TK (lost 2-3 going all the way to round 11 on map 5). The team rallied through the losers bracket winning four straight matches against Relasped, Optic Nation, XGN, and Rod Squad. The team then dropped a tough match to TCM 3-1 resulting in vVv to be the ONLY non-pro-league team to finish in the top 8. The team really learned how to play together and overcame adversity to finish with an unexpected T8 finished after an 0-4 start to the weekend. The community in attendance was awesome and included TipoBajito, Saturn, Starman, Pherzghul, RobZ, LordJerith, Bardo, Shadow & Koala. Over the weekend, we all got to spend some quality time and learn a few new things about each other. To start, we found out Lordjerith does not like sodium in his water. Who even knew there was water with sodium in it in the first place? He also gets a little grumpy if he doesn't have water in his room when he wakes up in the morning. You also have to make sure he has a bottle of Grey Goose and Kahlua, because he only drinks Black Russians and is very particular about his fluids. Following our push-up competition between Saturn and Starman we found out that a drunk Starman can do about 30 push-ups. Not going to lie, I was pretty impressed. To add to the fun, Lordjerith gave a little quiz to Rob and TipoBajito, asking them "what's a mushroom stamp?". Rob, of course, just had a blank face having no idea what it was. TipoBajito decided that Bardo was the definition of a mushroom stamp, so there's some knowledge for you. We also found out the COD team's love for bananas, especially John. The team went through two cases of water and 20 bananas just on Friday alone. Overall, it was a great time and through all the games and fun time we even found time to have a nice Ribeye steak dinner Saturday night, which I personally enjoyed. Also, don't fuck around with LordJeriths dinner reservations. The host didn't answer the phone when he was trying to make the reservations, and he will complain to the front desk and get $141 worth of room service comped. We also made some internal changes during the event. Saturn will be stepping down as our Social Media manager and will be running HotS in-houses and other HotS events. Bardo will be attending events and will be the event manager. Our next major event will be UMG DC on September 4th-6th. Please, if you're in the area, come out and enjoy some quality time with other community members. Even if you're not a fan of COD, it's a great time to meet other people and root for our team. I would like personally thank the community members and staff that attended the event as well as everyone at home that watched to cheer our team this weekend. A special shout out to vVv SugarBear & vVv NaturaL for helping with the coverage post, vVv Pherzghul for the amazing banner he created, and to vVv Koala for taking pictures. vVv CoD ADL End of Beta Season

To Begin... First and foremost we would like to thank everyone that came out and played in the Beta Season of the CoD ADL. The vVv CoD ADL Beta had 106 unique members that came out and played, some returned over and over, and some only came for one or two events, but to have that many people show up excited for what we are doing feels great. After the Alpha Season we had a lot of struggles trying to get into the Beta Season, so we really appreciate the patience of everyone as we moved through that process. Once we started the Beta, we realized that we were not only understaffed, but also not fully prepared, for the number of people that were interested in what we were trying to do. We made some adjustments after the second week and put a cap on the maximum number of attendees, and from that moment forward we were really able to focus on making a great experience for all of you, the gamers. We would like to hear back from everyone that attended the ADL, so we will be conducting a feedback session on Mumble Monday June, 29th at 9:00 P.M EST. If you need help setting up Mumble, GO HERE! The Season is Over... We were initially set to run 6 weeks for the season, but our numbers started dwindling after the 4 week mark, and in week 5 we were struggling to get even two lobbies running. We decided to cut our losses and not finish the 6th week, so that we can move forward. We are hoping to get a lot of feedback from everyone involved, and see what kind of changes we can make moving forward into the next season. Our MVPs for the Beta Season were SmallsHD and OMEN EvO, and we also want to recognize Deviant Void for being the top slayer (Best kill/death ratio among returning players) and vVv Deadaim for being the top OBJ player (Best OBJ/map ratio among returning players). The end of season stats can be found HERE! Beta Season By The Numbers... There were a total of 22,251 kills this season, and 22,644 deaths. This resulted in an overall kill/death ratio of 0.98 for all ADL attendees. There were 1,326 total maps played, with 5,236 objectives captured. This resulted in a 3.95 OBJ/map for all ADL attendees. 180 match wins were handed out throughout the course of the ADL beta. The player with the most kills was SmallsHD, with 1,409 kills. The player with the most deaths was Deception nF with 1,259 deaths. The best kill/death ratio for attendees with more than one event attended was Deviant Void with a 1.62. The worst kill/death ratio for attendees with more than one event attended was vVv Boever with a 0.48. The most map wins goes to OMEN EvO with 45 maps won, and 19 map losses. The most map losses was Deception nF with 25 maps won, and 37 map losses. Special shoutout to vVv Krewel. He attended one ADL and finished with a 0.10 kill/death ratio. Rocko NA, OMEN EvO, SmallsHD, and ViiTal Cyphr combine for 4,908 kills, over 22% of all kills recorded in the ADL. vVv Deadaim finished with an 8.07 OBJ/map ratio, almost 1.5 full points ahead of the next player. SmallsHD finished with a ranking of 22.79, OMEN EvO finished with a ranking of 21.80. Honorable mention to Rocko NA with a ranking of 20.15. MVPs SmallsHD - MVP Name: Ben Turck Age: 16 Location: New York XBL Gamertag: SmallsHD What made you decide to come play in the ADL? How did you hear about it? I decided to play in the CDL when my friends, Hudson, Deadaim, and Phryme told me what it was back in Season 1. Did you think you had a chance at being one of the top players? Yes, I did. There was little-to-no competition this season. To what do you attribute your high winning percentage, your choices as a captain? Or an ability to bring a team together to perform well, regardless of who they are? I would have to say the ability to bring a team together to perform well because from what I have heard from other players in the CDL is that it doesn't matter who is my team. As long as someone can play the objective, we usually win, but nowadays everyone tries to be a slayer. Who was your favorite teammate to have in the ADL? My favorite teammate to have in this ADL is Cyphr. He has very good communication skills and can slay out when I'm not. What is your favorite map and weapon in AW? My favorite weapon is the ASM1 which is why my favorite map is Detroit. Detroit is a very close-quarters map. What was your favorite thing about the ADL? Knowing no matter how well my team does, we will win at least one map per series. Will you return next season? Depends on if there is competition. Check out his profile HERE OMEN EvO - MVP #2 Name: Michael Hendryx Age: 25 Location: Fort Smith, AR XBL Gamertag: OMEN EvO What made you decide to come play in the ADL? How did you hear about it? Seen it posted by the home girl vall so I decided to sign up and play Did you think you had a chance at being one of the top players? truthfully I had just came back from a 6 month break from the game so I didn't expect to hold a top 4 spot for as long as I have To what do you attribute your high winning percentage, your choices as a captain? Or an ability to bring a team together to perform well, regardless of who they are? truthfully I looked into a lot of my picks and hoped we meshed well with eachother with me be a hybrid player I can change roles very easy to what we need to have or be done Who was your favorite teammate to have in the ADL? this would have to be between rocko smalls and cypher What was your favorite thing about the ADL? showing people I still have what it takes cough cough @ Pretzl Will you return next season? depends on school and work as well Check out his profile HERE Check out his vVv Application HERE Deviant Void - Highest Kill/Death Ratio Name: Edwin Junior Vazquez Age: 17 Location: Kearny, New Jersey XBL Gamertag: Deviant Void What made you decide to come play in the ADL? How did you hear about it? Well I like competition and I heard about ADL from the Website and vVv members. Did you think you had a chance at being one of the top players? I know I could be one of the top players. The end exams made me slack off so I didn't show up to ADL's You were the top slayer, in terms of Kill/Death ratio...do you always play as a slayer? Slayer is my main role, but I know how to work with spawns and play like a team I might say I am the best, but at the end I give the whole team credit How would you adjust if your team was struggling to pull OBJs? How far into the game would you wait to make that adjustment? Obj would be a hard job for me because I'm usually pushing the hill out either for spawns or to slay around the hill I usually get most caps and defends for it, but I think I will try to communicate with the OBJ who is struggling and help him in hill What is your favorite map and weapon in AW? Detroit, Solar, Bio All Hardpoint and uplink. My favorite gun is not my best gun. My favorite is Bal, but I am a sub slayer so I am best with ASM1 just find Bal more fun. What was your favorite thing about the ADL? ADL gave me something to do and something I love too which is competition and meeting new people Will you return next season? Next Season I will be Returning Check out his profile HERE Check out his vVv Application HERE vVv Deadaim - Highest OBJ/Map Ratio Name: Michael Rubino Age: 24 Location: Port Richey, FL XBL Gamertag: vVv Deadaim What made you decide to come play in the ADL? How did you hear about it? I've been apart of vVv for awhile now and we use to have the CGN's on ghost but we slowely converted into more of a competitive side of things. And I heard about the ADL as I was a member of the staff in the first season selected from bizkit and phryme to help develop the adl. Did you think you had a chance at being one of the top players? I'm a really well rounded player and I think I can compete with the top of players. I think I would have had a good chance but theres so much talent at the top it would have been difficult to do so. When did you make the decision to be an OBJ focused player? Because my team was mostly slayers and I recognized the importance of having someone do the dirty work. If your team is full of OBJ players, how do you adjust? It's actually a blessing in a way just different from slayers. You have unselfish people so you know hopping hills wont be an issue and know how to score and maneuver around the map with ball for instance to get in those power positions What is your favorite map and weapon in AW? Map would have to be Bio Lab HP, and ASM1/Sniper What was your favorite thing about the ADL? Playing against others who have the same end goals as me, to become a pro player and compete against the best of the best. Will you return next season? Yes, this season I had a lot of personal things going on and couldn't attend as much as I'd like but will be more active this next season. Check out his profile HERE In Conclusion... Again thank you to all those that came out for the ADL. Please try and make it to our feedback meeting on Monday June 29th, at 9:00 P.M. EST, on Mumble. There will be another post announcing that meeting. There are also a few things we are searching for moving into the next season. We need dedicated hosts that we can count on to be at majority of the events, if not ALL of them. We need more ADL admins that are willing to be active and engaged in what we are trying to do.

Vulcun Daily LCS: An Introduction Exciting news yesterday as vVv Gaming announced a partnership with Vulcun.com! Vulcun offers daily fantasy tournaments for LoL, DOTA2, CS:GO, Hearthstone, and CoD. Use this link: https://vulcun.com/a/vVvgaming when signing up for 100% deposit bonus! If you saw this information yesterday and were wondering, what the hell is this? Do not fear, I'm here to help you gain some basic understadning of how daily fantasy tournaments work. Daily fantasy sports has risen to ascendancy in the last few years. Daily and weekly games on sites like Draft Kings and Fan Duel offer a cash prize in various game forms. Head to Head games against another person, 50/50 games where players in the top 50% win money, and Guaranteed Prize Pool tournaments where the big payouts are. Vulcun is now offering this same format for LoL, CsGo, and DOTA 2, Hearthstone, and CoD. I am going to be specifically focusing on League of Legends, but the general information I provide here goes for all games. The scoring for other games will obviously be different but the general principles of daily fantasy are the same. Before you begin my first piece of advice would be to watch the following video after you sign up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T97LhrP9hU Also please read the contest rules provided by Vulcun here: https://vulcun.com/main/contestrules you can search by each individual game for important information like how to draft, what roster roles you need, and the most important: how you score points. Vulcun users can construct a team of eight players using a salary cap format of $10000. Each player you choose from has a set price. The roster construction includes one player in each role, plus three flex roles where you can use anyone. It is important to note that these prices influence the game greatly. It is hard to fit in all the top players making bargains a huge deal. You expect Bjergsen to play well each week and as such he will always be priced highly. But who are the value plays that have an easier match up you can use to fill out your roster? You need to consider the pricing when looking at who to select on any given day. Alright here is my general advice for Daily Fantasy eSports: If you're wondering how much you need to deposit to start with, the general rule is to start with $100 if you can afford it. I'm not telling you that you have to deposit $100 but that is a good starting point when looking to get into daily. However, deposit whatever you're comfortable with to start. Let's talk about bankroll management, or how to manage your money once you've made a deposit. Once you've made a deposit, no matter how much it is, it is strongly advised to only play 10% of your bankroll on a given day. So for example, if you deposit $50, your first day you would only play $5. This keeps you from burning through your bankroll too fast and keeps you in the game. Now, if you play that 10% and lose it, you would go from $50 to $45 making your 10% for the next day only $4.50. You can use this 10% rule whether your bankroll increases or decreases. If you don't need to worry about how you spend your money then this 10% rule doesn't apply. PLAY 50/50 TOURNAMENTS! We all have dreams of winning huge sums of money playing daily fantasy, but let's be real it's not that likely. Sure it could happen, but the best way to steadily increase your bank roll is to play 50/50 tournaments. In this format you only need to place in the top 50% of all competitors. Contrast that to a tournament where the top prize is huge, but steadily decreases with less spots to even finish in the money. My general rule I use for myself in daily is that if I am not cashing in my 50/50's I do not allow myself to play in tournaments. 50/50's are the best way to increase your bankroll. This one goes hand in hand with #3. If you can, play in 50/50's with large player pools. On Vulcun you can play in 50/50's with 10 people or 100 people, but give yourself the better odds to finish in the top 50% by playing with more people. The variance will be less and although it's still the top 50%, it's easier to take top 50 out of 100 than top 5 out of 10. Don't get discouraged if you aren't cashing in tournaments. You really aren't supposed to win your tournaments on a consistent basis. The player pool is much larger making the competition stiffer. That's why I recommend playing 50/50's to start. Last but not least - HAVE FUN. It's what it's all about. Oh, and don't get addicted. If you're having a rough go of things getting started, there's no shame in taking a break for a day. I hope this general information helped. Remember to check out the links above for Vulcun's contest rules and information. Good luck!

    Arrow's Application

I don't know why Arrow hasn't already been accepted into vVv. He is one of the most active applicants on the mumble server, on the forums, in his app and also in game. He provides a solid amount of leadership when needed in game and is a hell of an ADC to peel for. Most of our coordinated team strategies usually just devolve down to everyone peeling for Arrow and those seem to be the games we win most often. He found vVv by coming to the Adopt a noob and then formed a friendship (dickhead) with me his first coach. We duo, play norms, I will almost always draft him in the ADL and he is an extremely versatile player who can basically do everything but jungle well. I would like to see him progress in his communication with his laning partner in bot, as I feel he can be a bit quite when he needs to speak up, though we don't seem to have that issue when I support for him. Overall, I would posit that Arrow adds more value than about 1/3-1/2 of the current league community in terms of these overall aspects, and he is only striving to be a better member of the community. Seriously, who else's app looks like this? This shit should be pinned as the goddamn model for how to interact with the community and members, and realistically shouldn't be held off accepting in my opinion.
