Solid is the reason I am with vVv, so it was good getting to interview him. For anyone who does not know, he is our Halo 3 Manager and will soon be taking the reigns for Halo Reach as well. He also hopes to be able to help promote vVv and its sponsors at major gaming events around the country.

The Basics:
What is your real name and how old are you? Kyle George Martinez DeValdivielso and I am 20 years old.
Where do you live? Do you like it there? Hate it? What’s it like? I live in Wheaton, IL which is a western suburb of Chicago. I don't like Wheaton, it's a very boring town. I'm pretty sure Wheaton has the world record for most churches per square block or something. It's rediculous. Hopefully I'll be getting the hell out of dodge and going to live in Seattle with my friend.
What’s your gaming alias/ gamertag/ etc.? How did you come to choose that name? Was it chosen for you? Any fun stories? Well my original name was NBK, which stood for Natural Born Killer. Back in the day I was just naturally good at picking up FPS games, and my friends just kind of gave me that name, I liked it. I've gone by Solid since I've had a 360 (Metal Gear Solid inspired), but I feel soon I'll be heading back to my original name for Reach. I played Halo 2 with several good friends of mine, one of them was also named Kyle. For some reason, he got to be called by his first name while I was called NBK. To this day they still call me NBK, and not Kyle. Kind of funny, I guess. And when they pick on me they call me NBGAY
Let’s say you’re asked, by someone at school or a good friend from online, what is vVv – what would be your answer? I could spend an hour talking about vVv but they will truly not understand what vVv is and what it means to me. Sure, I can say it's one of the most dominant gaming organizations in the world.. but when I tell them what vVv Gaming is to me, a family, I don't think they would get it. From there, I'd just bring them in and they would see it the way I do.
What’s your educational background? What do you love about school? What do you hate? I graduated from Wheaton North Highschool in 2008... barely haha. One thing I loved about school was obviously being around friends every day. I miss seeing them, some of them I haven't talked to SINCE highschool, it's really sad. I loved that I could take Tae Kwon Do for my gym class, that was a huge thing for me in school. I hated almost every subject, so I guess over-all I hated boring subjects, math especially.
Let’s run through some favorites, some normal, some out there –
Animal? MUDKIPSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Band/ artist? My favorite band is Dir En Grey, but I have been exploring others lately so that might not be forever.
Period of history? Feudal Japan.
Food? I LOVE JUNK FOOD, but steak takes the cake on favorite food.
Video game? My favorite game is Golden Eye for the N64.
Memory? Favorite memory is a tough one, I think my second competitive kickboxing match is up there. It was an intense fight, and I just remember my Dad and Uncle in the crowd were shocked at how well I was doing and everything about it.
The fun stuff:
What are your favorite types of games? Why those? First Person Shooters, hands down. There's just something about shooters that just draws me in. Whether it's blowing shit up, getting a headshot, knifing someone.. It's just epic to me for some reason. Haha.
What are your major interests outside of gaming? And if you say girls or partying, you will be banned. <3 PIRLS AND GARTYING. I am slowly working my way back into martial arts, which several years ago I was very competitive in. I have a lovely girlfriend of almost 2 1/2 years so I enjoy spending a lot of time with her. I also like spending time with my friends, usually just sitting around talking and smoking a hookah.
I enjoy watching anime, as well.Best personal gaming moment, everyone has one. What is yours? One of my Chicago Combine free for all games. I was in an FFA full of talented players, I was in dead last for pretty much the entire game. With 1 minute left, I was down by 12 and I caught fire. I wound up winning by 2 kills, and the entire time my friends (who in my eyes were better than me) were just going NUTS because I was just destroying everything that moved for that last minute. Many of those players I played against commented that I was doing extremely well that round. It was amazing, or at least it was to me.
10 years from now, what do you see yourself doing? Well, I'll always be a gamer. I hope to see myself working somewhere in gaming, I've been wanting to go to school for Gaming Design since I graduated high school. I haven't had the chance to yet, but I hope to get into that soon and pursue that.
To you, what is the best sport to play and the best one to watch? Why? Well, I'm not sure if it's considered a sport, but mixed martial arts. It is by far the most physically demanding activity on the planet, and it's very exciting to watch two great fighters go at it for 15/25 minutes.
Trip for the day – beach, museum, hiking or play it by ear? Why that choice? I'm a pretty spontaneous guy, I don't plan unless something will only work with a plan. If I start hiking and I see a beach, that's what's next.
Okay, you’re given free reign in making a movie – what’s it called, who’s in it, and why does this movie matter? Ohhhhh man... I'd call it " Robotroopers ". It'll have the cast from Super Troopers, and the actor who played Robocop. Basically it's 2 hours of the Super Troopers picking on Robocop. Why does it matter? I think it'd be hillarious.. And it's my idea so of course it matters. Duh.
Back to vVv, any shout-outs you’d like to give? You, of course. Chibees, Robbie, Buzz, Mayday, Ultra, The Turtle, and Muse!
Why do you like vVv? It's simply amazing. The community and the potential vVv has, and I get to pick on Chibees.
What do you think vVv could do better? We're doing it better. Day by day, we're growing and expanding. We're great now, and getting better all the time.
And, of course, LordJerith – badass of the millennium or genius of this eon? He is the God who graced us with the all mighty Mudkips.
