We have moved to Discord   08/04/2016

There has been a strong desire among the community to migrate to Discord for quite some time. As of today, our community will be using Discord and as a result, we will no longer be actively using our TeamSpeak Server.  The TeamSpeak server will temporarily stay active to help inform all of our move to Discord. Within the next couple of months, it will be shut down completely.  For a quick invite to our new Discord server, you can click here.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our recent survey regarding the start time of our tournaments.  After reviewing responses from the survey sent out to tournament participants we have decided to make changes to the start time of our events to try to better accommodate everyone.  Beginning on Monday, October 24th, all of our tournaments will start an hour earlier - at 8PM Eastern.  This means that registration will close at 7:30 EST, and that check-in starts at 7:30 EST and closes at 7:45 EST.

    • How is it going all?  My name is Alex, or better known around here as Trivium or Triv.  I am an ex vVv member and staff from the Xbox days.  I applied early in Black Ops 2, and had an unusually long application, earning my V's near the end of that game, right before Ghosts came out.  At MLG Columbus, I met a lot of our community at the time, and had one of the most memorable weekends I have ever had.

That was also the weekend I joined vVv staff as a Call of duty application manager, alongside vVv Bizkit.  We spent a few months together there, and due to Call of Duty as a whole, I rejoined the community members, and shortly after, regrettably left to do staff work for a few low end Call of Duty organizations that never had the same drive for competition like vVv did.

I am an inline hockey player for Penn State, where we earned 1 title, and 2 second place finishes in my 3 years on the team.  I have also earned the accolades of assistant captain (from our coaching staff) and vice president (voted for by team mates) there.

I would love to be involved with vVv again, as well as help grow the community back to the level it used to be!  If applicants have any questions, feel free to ask, but I am sure the application processes are way different than I remember them being.  Any members who are still around from when I was here, feel free to say hi, I will be on here a few times a week just to keep my name around the community.  I will have my discord up and running in the next few days, I am looking forward to seeing you all there!   Triv
    • Application accepted! Welcome to vVv Gaming!
    • ya man I've been busy with school and sports for a little @vVv Bagzli
    • I, vVv Syracuse endorse Saltie  How much time have you spent with the applicant, in-game or out?  I've honestly lost track of time with how long I've spent time with Saltie. It seems he's been in the vVv Discord for as long/longer than I have! What was your first impression of the community member? Did it change at all over time? If so, how? Saltie was always a relaxed guy when I would talk with him. That being said, it blends well with his incredible gaming skills. He's like a quiet powerhouse! What was your favorite moment with them (in-game or out)? I can't think of a specific memory that Saltie and I have shared. That being said, I find myself smiling when I know he and I are about to play together.    What makes this applicant a good fit for vVv Gaming? He's been a dedicated player in the community for a while. Considering he's been around longer than I have, I consider Saltie getting his V's at this point to be a ceremonial gesture. He's always had them in my eyes.  How could they improve to be a better potential community member? I think if Saltie wanted to make the best use of his time, I think being a staff member would be an incredible experience for him. It's a unique position that rewards the work and time spent on the vVv discord! Anything else we should know about this applicant? Any skills or talents that no one else knows yet? Saltie to me is a quiet anchor that helps hold the community together. I really think for his active and passive contributions to the community, he deserves his V's.
