    • Twitch Caster Opportunity for Rocket League!   10/04/2015

Wanted: Rocket League Twitch Caster   vVv Gaming is looking for a streamer who wants to turn our biweekly Rocket League tournaments into a premier event.  Your role as a caster would be to stream the events on our vVv Twitch channel and commentate on plays in the game.  There are 4-6 Rounds in each tournament and you would be casting one game out of each round.  This is a volunteer position.   What we are looking for: - Available Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 9pm EST to about midnight - 720p 60 FPS video - Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to interact with an audience - Willingness to stream from our official channel.   What we consider a bonus: - Familiarity with video editing and editing software - Previous streaming experience (specifically shoutcasting) - Familiar with Rocket League eSports scene - Know how to setup and use twitchalerts.com or similar system   These tournaments provide a chance for amatuer Rocket League players to connect with and play against others to learn key elements to the game and the importance of teamwork. The point of the stream would be to highlight great plays from teams and to recognize new and upcoming talent.
For the specifics of the event, refer to our guide on the Community Tournaments here.   If you are interested in the opportunity, please send me a private message via these forums!

So last weekend at MGC in Las Vegas, we all know what happened in the Brawl community. But not mutch was said about everything else that went on.

vVv Gaming had 4 out of the 7 Guitar Hero competitors, and sadly none in Madden 10 (But that's Ok, because Madden was just kind of "That Thing over there")

The results of the Guitar Hero Tournament looked Like this

1. vVv Smokyprogg

2. vVv andpg09

3. vVv Brock

4. DJ Treebear

5. vVv Paradise

DJ Treebear (2nd Entries), Bryce, and Somebody else (who I can't remember his name) All fell at the Bottom

Despite what we all suspected, the 3 other competitors were actually good.

Bryce, who actually doesn't have an Xbox Live account, Was a good player, but he didn't know any paths.

That Other Kid (lololol) Was also good, But he had a little trouble in the tougher songs (I eliminated him on The Spirit of Radio, He missed 2 or 3 times, and they were both in the solo)

DJ Treebear is an example of what we Rhythm Gamers Like to call "That Guy." He did have capabilities to FC songs, But they were the easy songs. He would pick songs that Nobody knew the paths to, and frankly, nobody ever played, because they just weren't exciting songs. He would pick songs like "Saturday Nights Alright (For Fighting)," "Lust for Life," and "Bullet with Butterfly Wings." There's really nothing wrong with it, but you just wanna cut yourself playing these songs.

Both Smokyprogg and I nearly lost to him.

In the first round of the Tournament, I had to face Smokyprogg. I don't wanna talk about it.

So throughout the loser's bracket, I first had to face the kid, who I still can't remember the name of.

I won 2-0 (Scatterbrain I believe, then Spirit)

My next opponent was vVv Paradise.

LOL Best match ever.

I won 2-1

I picked scatterbrain (of Course, lololol,) then he picked........ Sex on Fire? WTF Jason! That's like, the most boring song on the game!

You have now officially earned the title of "That Guy." Congratz!

Tiebreaker was Dancing with Myself, LMFAO.

Jason missed the first Starpower then Quit LOL.

My Next match was against the other "That Guy" (DJ Treebear)

I won 2-1. First song, You guessed it.... SCATTERBRAIN lolol. Second song, Lust for life >_<. Tiebreaker was Runnin' Down a Dream.

After this match was the Loser's Bracket Finals.

I had to Face vVv Brock.

OF COURSE I picked Scatterbrain :P

Brock Picked Deadbolt. I really don't know why.

It was a WCG song, so we both clearly knew the paths.

I won for some reason that had to do with Brock thinking I missed. I dunno lol.

Now comes the finals. Oh god.

I had to Face Smokyprogg.... again.... best out of 5.

First song, HARD TO GUESS....... Scatterbrain. I won AND FC'D IT :D

2nd Song: Smoky's favorite of the Night, "Runnin' Down the Dream."

I missed within the first minute and just kind of gave up :P

3rd song I picked "One Big Holiday"

This was a WCG song, But I knew I could definitely outsqueeze him on it. He actually missed, so I got the win.

4th song, Smoky Picked some damn coldplay song. WOW. WHY?????????????????????

I lost by 600 points.

Tiebreaker. We both turn around I said "What's the tiebreaker?"

"'Do You Feel Like We Do?'"

*Jaw Drop*

So 14 Minutes later, at the end of the song, I was losing the entire match, and smoky makes a stupid Starpower mistake that gives me the lead. Then, within the last 5 seconds, I miss.

The End.
