IEM Cologne: Day Two Fantasy Advice

Hope yesterday went well for you guys. Besides C9 losing I thought it was a really good day one.

Here's a look at today's players:

Just a quick note that today's Vulcun contests will run over to tomorrow and include the finals. So make sure you take that into account as you make your lineup. QG looked very sloppy yesterday but eventually pulled off the series win vs DIG, I think there luck runs out today and they'll fall to FNATIC in the semi-finals. On the other side I think we could see a close 2-1 series and I'm leaning towards EVER at the moment. H2k could certainly pull off another series win, but I think it'll be tough for them. I don't know EVER well and I'm not sure anyone does but they won the KESPA cup defeating Korea's best teams in the process so let's give them some credit at least. As for players I'm steering away from QG where I can, using the FNATIC and EVER carries, and I wouldn't have a problem using Jankos, Vander, Ryu, or Odoamne, but I'm staying away from FORG1VEN as he didn't have a huge fantasy impact on day one.

Here are my lineups for today:

Vulcun:

Top: Crazyplay (EVER) ($1328)
Jungle: Spirit (FNC) ($1281)
Mid: Febiven (FNC) ($1421)

Sup: VandeR (H2k) ($1023)
Flex One: TcT (QG) ($986)

Sup: Key (EVER) ($6700)
Flex: Athena (EVER) ($8000)
Team: Ever ($3700)

IEM Cologne: Day One Fantasy Advice

IEM Cologne Day One is on Friday and it's time to take a look at the match-ups and fantasy analysis for the weekend. Here are the players on day one:

Full disclosure I do not know a ton about Qiao Gu, but what I do know is the finished second in the LPL during the summer split falling to LGD in the finals in five games. In the games in which they won during that series their ADC TnT played hyper carries Vayne and Kog'maw and mid laner Doinb played control mages Lulu and Viktor. In all five games top laner, V, played supportive champions including three Maokai games. Personally, I think they'll beat DIG which makes QG players attractive on day one. They're priced as the most expensive options and will probably be worth the money. H2k and C9 could go either way, but I'm going to give the edge to C9 here. I expect Hai to start and when Hai is playing and shotcalling C9 are a much more effective team. Incarnati0n has started to come into his own after strong performances in the Regional Qualifiers and World Championships. Rush is a hyper aggressive jungler who will create a strong early game presence. That said I'm mainly focusing on using QG and C9 players, if you want to use H2k players I don't have a problem with that, but I'd stay away from DIG.

Here are my Day One Lineups:

Vulcun:

Top: V (QG) ($1107)
Jungle: Rush (C9) ($1214)
Mid: Incarnati0n (C9) ($1402)
ADC: Sneaky (C9) ($1364) - Shotcaller
Sup: Vander (H2k) ($980)
Flex One: TnT (QG) ($1438)
Flex Two: Odoamne (H2k) ($1104)
Flex Three: Swift (QG) ($1091)

AlphaDraft:

Top: V (QG) ($7800)
Jungle: Rush (C9) ($7300)
Mid: Doinb (QG) ($8600)
ADC: Sneaky (C9) ($8400)
Sup: Hai (C9) ($6500)
Flex: Swift (QG) ($7100)
Team: QG ($3800)

DraftKings:

Top: V (QG) ($7100)
Jungle: Rush (C9) ($5400)
Mid: Doinb (QG) ($7800)
ADC: Sneaky (C9) ($7100)
Sup: Hai (C9) ($5200)
Flex One: Incarnati0n (C9) ($6600)
Flex Two: Swift (QG) ($6500)
Team: C9 ($3900)
