    • Twitch Caster Opportunity for Rocket League!   10/04/2015

Wanted: Rocket League Twitch Caster   vVv Gaming is looking for a streamer who wants to turn our biweekly Rocket League tournaments into a premier event.  Your role as a caster would be to stream the events on our vVv Twitch channel and commentate on plays in the game.  There are 4-6 Rounds in each tournament and you would be casting one game out of each round.  This is a volunteer position.   What we are looking for: - Available Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 9pm EST to about midnight - 720p 60 FPS video - Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to interact with an audience - Willingness to stream from our official channel.   What we consider a bonus: - Familiarity with video editing and editing software - Previous streaming experience (specifically shoutcasting) - Familiar with Rocket League eSports scene - Know how to setup and use twitchalerts.com or similar system   These tournaments provide a chance for amatuer Rocket League players to connect with and play against others to learn key elements to the game and the importance of teamwork. The point of the stream would be to highlight great plays from teams and to recognize new and upcoming talent.
For the specifics of the event, refer to our guide on the Community Tournaments here.   If you are interested in the opportunity, please send me a private message via these forums!

Reviews on games and such!

Entries in this blog

Hello, vVv Members and DJ Hero lovers! For those DJ Hero fan(boy?)s out there (WOOOHOO MEEEEE!!!) we know that there is going to be a release of a DJ Hero 3. There hasn't been any clues yet to show us what will be in the game.

In DJ Hero 2 that was released on October 19th, 2010(?) There were a few new features such as: Freestyle cross-fades, scratching and of course the freestyle samples that actually took samples from the song.

Now, for some of MY ideas that i believe should be in DJ Hero 3:

  • Song creation.
-I am pretty sure that song creation came into Guitar Hero World Tour for the first time. (Correct me if i'm wrong.) So why not make DJ Hero 3 have some song creation. That'd be really awesome and i'm sure it would create a more competitive experience for those who like to play other peoples' songs on GH. Don't you feel like if you FC their song or whatever, you get some good feeling like you totally raped their songs nuts? I'm not sure about some people, but that would be a pretty good feeling lol.. :P

  • Freestyle mode

-A freestyle mode that will allow the player(s) to access Quickplay or XboxLIVE Battle Online to have an opportunity to show your real DJ-ing skills. What the player(s) must do is complete a whole song with JUST freestyles. Including Freestyle samples, Cross-fades, and freestyle scratching. The song will not have lyrics, but just a beat; the music without lyrics. 2 players can go head-to-head and test your freestyle skills, and whoever has the most successful freestyles and most points at the end of the song wins!(my friend actually gave me this idea, and i sort of put more details in it.)

  • More "Back in the day" Artists
-We all love different genres of music of course, and some of us like modern day music, some like older music, and some of us just like both! So why not add in some more old-school Hip-Hop from back in the day. In DJ Hero 1 there was Jurassic 5, Tupac, ODB, and others. I am a fan of old-school and modern hip-hop and i really like the underground genre of some. What i want to see in DJ Hero 3 is some mixes with Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang, Jurassic 5, and others. (Those are just some artists that I myself like.)

  • The real deal..

-In DJHero 2 there was a bundle that gave you 2 turntables. What really disappointed me was that you weren't able to use them during Quickplay. So here's my idea: If you own, or plan on buying another Turntable, or you're just going to get the DJ Hero 3 bundle, you should be able to use those 2 turntables in Quickplay and XboxLIVE Battle Mode Online. It would test your real skill as a DJ. (Yes i know, being a real DJ is a tad bit more complicating :P) but this is for that real DJ feel. You'll have one turntable, the mixer(cross-fader, effects-knob, euphoria button) then another turntable. There also should be a separate leaderboard for those who will use the 2 turntables to see the best of the best!

So yeah. Those are my ideas i have for the upcoming DJ Hero 3. If you have any ideas yourself, please feel free to post some! I'm planning on sending my ideas in to see if the creators will listen. haha. These are some pretty nice ideas, i mean it would give people a whole new perspective on the game believe it or not! :D

For those who play DJHero 2 you will probably agree with me on this. I'm only writing this blog to just show people how stupid and boring DJHero 2 online is.

Basically what i am trying to say is that the amount of legitimate players is very scarce. I can only find a game with someone who is on Expert every 5-8 matches. The Online Battle Leaderboard, to me, is full of boosters. I'm not the only one who thinks so.

I think that the Leaderboards should be divided by what difficulty you play, and should only get paired up with your difficulty you're on. That only makes the leaderboards fair.

For example: The #1 player on the Battle leaderboards for DJHero 2 is some guy named KING T LOVE. He right now is 230-0. Yes, he DOES play on Medium Difficulty.

This is what the leaderboard looks like.

1. KING T LOVE 230-0

2. drAAvy 193-1

3. MikeJones 90-1

4. xZaccc 75-0

5. GTIAndy 243-4

6. DannyBoy2k9 58-1

7. Akatsuki Sw1tch 56-0

8. vVv mDaWg 49-1 (Reset due to illegitimate players) WAS i think was 5, 6, or 7 hundred and something - 5?

9. SI CHarMiiN 89-2

10. tjc zone 31 42-1

MY RANK: 18. ii LIKE CAKE 29-0(Reset due to illegitimate players.) I dont remember what i was before.

Before any of you say that i'm 'Complaining' or 'Whining', i'm not. The only ones i believe are legit players are vVv mDaWg, and GTIAndy. That's only because i have either played with them, or i obviously know how good they are. If i were to see what difficulty each player actually played on then i would apologize for making accusations. Once again, i am just a little suspicious because of the amount of medium boosters.

Now, this isn't really 'Proof', but one of my good Online friends of DJHero, EL OG Loco, is one of the best players i've seen in a long long time.I am not sure the last time he lost a game, but he should not be ranked at what he is now because he is an excellent DJHero player. Here are his stats on the Battle Leaderboards:

231. EL OG Loco 376-52

To me, he should really not have 52 losses.

This isn't the longest Blog Entry ever, but i felt that i had to let everyone know how people are on DJHero 2 Online.

Sorry if it sounds like im complaining.

Thanks for your time(who knows if you even care)

We all know the huge 'Call of Duty' series that seems to gain the attention of so many people, but then that attention seems to go away after a new game of the series is released. The most popular 'Call of Duty' games (to most) are Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, and Black Ops.

Call of Duty 4 has plenty of things that is so great about it. The easy quick-scoping, decent recoil, nice hit detection, and players who are actually strategic.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may be popular all over the globe, but has a lot wrong with it that needs to be fixed so the people still playing it can enjoy the game like CoD 4. Much like CoD 4, the quick-scoping is a huge fad. MW2 has so many cheap ways to kill people IMO. Noob-Tubes that can destroy a whole team in one explosion, insane knife lunges (even without commando) and ridiculous modding. If only there were a way to stop it all, and make the so-called 'Franchise' feel more realistic and not just running around like an idiotic soldier.

Now, Call of Duty: Black Ops. So many things wrong with it - So many things great about it. The killstreak rewards do not add on to your next killstreak, theres actually recoil to the guns to make it seem a bit realistic, and the sniping is more strategic and realistic. Most people do not like the sniping in Black Ops, but i really enjoy it.

What makes the game somewhat bad and unfair are the terrible spawns (Worse than MW2), Incredibly bad hit detection, and overpowered guns (just like MW2.)

Now, if you are into Objective type of playlists and games, then any of these call of duties are perfect for you. The objective type games are all the same and are fun to play with friends! Strategy and teamwork is always the key to winning so either party chat or stay in game chat to communicate with your teammates so you can be victorious!

TDM, and FFA are good playlists if you like to play alone, or with a team, but just to get kills and annihilate the opposing team.

Perks have not been a problem besides Commando(MW2), and Juggernaut(CoD4). All the other perks are fair, and reasonable.

The Guns in all of the CoDs are really great, but some are over-powered which most people dislike.' If you can't beat 'em, Join 'em! '

To end this entry, i would just like to say that after having experiences with all of the [Well known] Call of Duties, i suggest getting Black Ops, and CoD4 for having strategic gameplay and the most fair gameplay experiences.

-This is my first blog entry ever so im not sure how it is, but i hope you agree with my opinions on these games!
